Chapter 33 – Request Report
Grace-san who noticed me looked a little panicked and came towards me.
“Yuma!? Its only been a few hours since you left, did something unexpected happen !? ”(grace)
“No there were no problems at all. I already took care of the Cockatrice and was able to leave safely”(yuuma)
when I said that to grace-san, he was visibly surprized.
“whaaaaaat!!. In such a short time you already went to stone forest and back and even subjugated it too? Do you perhaps have any special powers for transporation or something ?”(yuma)
“No I just ran all the way”(yuma)
“you just ran….ah, you…….i give up. Let’s head back to the guild and inform that young miss about you returning safely. Probably I’m even more anxious about it.”(grace)
OH, sari is/was waiting for me at the guild all this time. Then I guess we have to hurry over.
“Understood. Lets hurry back. Ah,before that I haven’t disassembled the cockatrice yet, can we do it at the guild.(Yuma)
“Ah, if its that then we can do it at the disassembly center behind the guild ”(grace)
That’s good. And here I was thinking that i can’t disassemble anything over at the guild..
“Understood. Thank you very much. Then I will head over to the guild immediately. Grace-san thank you very much for waiting for me all the way over here.”(Yuma)
Grace-san was very happy when I said so.
This uncle might be old but when he is trying to be shy it looks funny but still he looks happy.
I headed over to the guild and left the embarrassed grace-san.
After several minutese I was able to arrive at the guild safely.
When I opened the door to the guild, sari who noticed me came over at great speeds and stood in front of me.
Your face is too close sari.
“Yu, Yuma-san it good that you are back safely. If Yuma-san died because of me then I would feel very worried…… ”(sari)
「 “eh, Yuma-san truly defeated the cockatrice!. Um….. its not that I don’t believe you, but Yuma-san did not bring anything back…..”(sari)
A, come to think about it. Sari does not that I can use item box huh. Well it cant be helped.
I cant do anything about it anyway.
“Ah, its because I have the item box skill. The cockatrice is safely placed inside it. Its because I ran quicky and defeated the cockatrice and came quickly. thats why it was relatively quick.”(yuma)
“Running , huh. But still Yuma-san has the item box!. That’s amazing!-desu.”(sari)
“Thanks. Then im off to disassemble the cockatrice, ill see you later”(yuma)
And so I headed over to the disassembly center that seems to be behind the guild.
It was good that I was able to find the disassembly center quickly.
While I was looking for someone there, I was able to spot an old holding a huge knife, for now lets ask that old man for instructions.
“Excuse me. I would like to have this disassembled. Is that ok?”(yuma)
“Disassembly huh, theres no problem. Then where is it?”(ossan)
“it’s a cockatrice”(yuma)
and so I took the body of the cockatrice from the item box.
The old man was quite surprized when I took out the cockatrice.
But soon regained his original look.
“Ho, Cockatrice is rare beast. And you certainly are a newcomer to the guild who just registered today? Am I wrong?”(ossan)
This person was able to guess that I just joined the guild today just from that?
“You were able to tell that I just registered today ?”(yuma)
When I said that, the old man smiled.
“That’s because you’re a celebrity in the guild right now. An unknown boy who hadn’t even registered at the guild yet was able to take down Lord red eyes besides that’s not the only thing. The fact that you were level 29 when you registered !?. I never heard of something like that. A promising newcomer for the guild is actually quite a big matter”(ossan)
I see.
I seem to have been given the celebrity status without even doing anything.
Well it can’t be helped.
W~ell lets put that story aside for a moment.
“Understood. Also how long will the disassembly of the cockatrice take ?”(Yuma)
“Oh, It will take a few minutes to be completely done. Also what should be done to the materials harversted from the cockatrice. If you don’t need them then you can sell them here.”(ossan)
Materials huh. I don’t need anything other than the heart anyway. Then I guess its ok to sell it.
“I agree. Well then everything other than the heart is ok to be sold. I am ok with just the heart and please give it to me in another container.”(yuma)
“Understood. Then what will you do ? will you wait here until it is done ?”(ossan)
Fumu. I don’t really have anywhere to go.
Perhaps there may be something. Lets go and see.
“Then please get started. Because I want to see how the process of disassembling works.”(yuma)
“Oh ! then make sure to watch and study carefully boy !”(ossan)
and so after sometime the disassembly was finished..
“Alright, with this it is done !. The guild will contact you later on the selling of the materials of the cocatrice !. probably within 2~3 days.”(ossan)
“And also this is the heart of the cockatrice”(ossan)
I recived a container form the old man containing the heart of the cockatrice.
Its quite huge. Wel~l if its this much then even sari can easily carry it.
“Thank you very much. From now I will regurarly bring back monsters from now onwards then please look after me.”(Yuma)
“”Ou!. When that happens I will buy it from you again.(ossan)
Alright then with this the heart of the cockatrice is stored safely.
And then I went back to guild where sari was waiting for me.
Back at the guild, sari was sitting on a chair.
She seemed to be waiting for while making a restless expression.
When she saw me, her smile returned to her face and it was little flashy.
“Yuma-san, the disassembly of the cockatrice must have done right, thank you very much.”(sari)
But I did nothing about it do…….
“Thank you. Then this must be the heart of the cockatrice, it must be quite heavy.This must be handled very carefully”(sari)
I very carefully handed the container containing the heart of the cockatrice over to sari.
“Thank you very much !. With this Risa can be saved !. Truly Yuma-san I would want to talk with you but I have to go, could I please thank you again later ?”(sari)
“Un, Its ok. I will get the request reward after all.”(Yuma)
“Nevertheless!”(sari)
“Ummmm….oh, okay I am going to stay at Saria-san Inn later on, if you can make me delicious food then that’s quite enough. I have only been eating jerky these days after all”(Yuma)
“Delicious food huh, Understood !. I will try very hard to make delicious food for Yuma-san! So please absolutely come to the Jinia!. ”(Sari)
And so Sari left me at the guild.
Making food everyday huh.
We~ll atleast until and as long as I stay in this city.
Well then lets report about the request to the receptionist-oneesan……..,
When I went over to Mel-san place, she was grinning strangely.
“Yuma, you are surely a person who can’t stand by the corner. ”(Mel)
What is this person evern saying ?
“I don’t understand what you are saying but, can I report about the request. ”(yuma)
“It is quite embarssing~, We~ll its ok. Reporting about the request, please wait a while. ”(Mel)
After a few minutes.
“Thank you for waiting, This is the reward for the cockatrice subjugation 5 gold coins.”(Mel)
5 Gold coins! ? It’s a huge sum. Its more than 2 times the bounty for Lord red eyes ! We~ll cockatrice is a Rank B beast, so it may be reasonable.
“Thank you very much”(Yuma)
“This was nothing of a matter. This is because Yuma-san is a promising Adventurer. So please from now accept Rank C requests properly please.”(Mel)
“Thank you very much for your concern. Well with this I will take my leave”(Yuma)
Ah, I forgot to ask Sari the location of the Jinia-INN.
“Im sorry, Mel-san. Could you please tell me the location of the Jinia-INN ?”(Yuma)
“Jinia? If its that, it about 3 minutes’ walk from here.”(Mel)
Ho.It seems quite close from here.
This is lot more convenient.
“Thank you very much, Mel-san. I will come here regularly here from now on, so then please take care of me.”(Yuma)
“Yes, Please take care of me too.”(Mel)
And so I walk to the exit of the guild.
But that’s when I noticed the incident.
Whats is with this gaze. There seems to be a lot of gazes fixed on me.
Majority of it seems to be jealous and there even seems to be hostility in some of them.
We~ll, its no use even if I worry about it, and so I left the guild.
