Chapter 195: The knocking in the night filled with thunder (Part 2)
"Tian Xie……did you hear that sound? It seems like……someone is knocking on the door." Su Fei Fei said nervously. The night, the rain, the lightning, the thunder…….This house that never had any guests now had knocking coming from the door which made her heart beat faster.
"Ignore it." Ye Tian Xie casually replied. When he had been living by himself, there would be occasional knocks on his door. It would normally be people asking for directions, knocking on the wrong door, or trying to sell him things…..He just ignored it all. The doorbell had also been removed by him.
"It's this late, so who could it be?" Could it be….." Su Fei Fei unconsciously moved closer to Ye Tian Xie. Without knowing when it happened, but she was already standing beside him. The unsettled feeling in her heart filled her with a desire to tightly hug him.
"A rainy night is good for avoiding detection and obscuring the sounds one made, as well it also helps eliminate all remaining traces. So, with all these factors, rainy nights are the best nights to kill people on." Ye Tian Xie's half opened his eyes as he spoke in a calm voice. "But you can be assured, this house is very sturdy. If there really are people that want to rush in, as long as they cannot open the door, then they'll have no way of accomplishing this."
Ye Tian Xie's words made Su Fei Fei's heart beat faster and even her lips slowly began to turn white. She gently let out a breath and her hands reached out to Ye Tian Xie, touching his arm. She held his arm in her embrace and lowered her head. Leaning against his arm, she felt a bit of her anxiety fade away, "Ten years ago…..My mother died on a rainy night like this……."
Ye Tian Xie's heart slightly trembled and he couldn't help reaching out his free hand, placing it on her shoulder, trying to comfort her from the shadow that hung over her heart.

The knocking on the door continued. The sound was neither soft or strong, nor was it gentle or deep……After listening to it for a while, Ye Tian Xie's brows began to tightly knit together. The knocking on the door was incredibly even, even to a degree that was unbelievable. The sound of the knocking before and the sound now was exactly the same……It was like a precise mechanical device was used to knock on the door.
Ye Tian Xie suddenly felt that this knocking was not as simple as he thought it was. He slowly began to raise his guard the more he heard it.
"Are you scared?" Ye Tian Xie asked gently.
"Un……" Su Fei Fei replied in a small voice. She was once again unconsciously standing closer to Ye Tian Xie.
Ye Tian Xie stood up from the bed and put on his clothes before turning on the lights. The dim bedroom instantly filled with light. Ye Tian Xie said in a low voice, "Fei Fei, I'll go take a look."
Su Fei Fei opened the blanket covering herself and not caring about the spring scenery she revealed, she quickly grabbed his arm, "Don't go……I, I'll go with you. Being by myself, I will be even more scared."
Su Fei Fei's chest in the pyjamas stood up high, and there were two pink bumps that were showing. Ye Tian Xie's throat grew dry. He looked at Su Fei Fei's nervous eyes and then nodded. After finding a large coat that he could drape over Su Fei Fei, he held her hand as he walked towards the living room.

The knocking continued with the rhythm of the knocking not changing at all. Ye Tian Xie walked over without making any sounds, and Su Fei Fei tried to be as silent as possible, but the slippers she wore still made noise. When they arrived in the center of the living room, the knocking suddenly stopped.
Su Fei Fei's hands around Ye Tian Xie's arm suddenly tightened. It wasn't that she had no courage, but faced with this kind of situation, any girl would be filled with nervousness and fear. Ye Tian Xie patted the back of her hand and then said in a small casual voice, "You can be assured. Even if there is a spider monster standing outside, I will turn it into a dead spider in less than ten seconds."
Su Fei Fei couldn't help revealing a smile as her hand visibly relaxed.
Walking in front of the door, Ye Tian Xie did not open the door, but rather looked outside through the peephole……Although it was pouring outside, the community was still brightly lit up. With the light, he saw that in front of his door……there was actually no one there.
Ye Tian Xie's brows tightly knit together as he silently stood up straight. Then he made a gesture at Su Fei Fei to be silent. He closed his eyes and began to feel what was in front of the door……The falling rain and the loud thunder did not affect his perception, but after half a minute, he felt that there was no abnormal movement at all.
This sense of uncertainty made Ye Tian Xie's brows knit even tighter. He traced the door and then turned on the living room lights. In the illuminated room, he thought for a bit before saying to Su Fei Fei, "That person should be gone now, let's go back to sleep."
He walked back to the room with the worried Su Fei Fei who stuck to his body, but the moment they reached the door of the room, that strange consistent knocking began once again. It was the same strength and the same rhythm, no difference at all. This knocking made Ye Tian Xie suddenly stop in his tracks.
As if…..there were a pair of eyes watching their every movement. When they came close, the knocking would stop. When they went far enough, the knocking started once again.
"Tian Xie……" Su Fei Fei looked up as she looked at the serious faced Ye Tian Xie with an anxious look on her face. This kind of expression that he made was rarely seen by her.
A cold smile appeared on Ye Tian Xie's lips. He slightly shook his head and then said, "A very intelligent game choice……But to play this kind of game with me, you have to suffer the consequences."
He turned around while holding Su Fei Fei and then quickly ran back to the main door. When they reached the center of the living room, the knocking sound stopped once again. Ye Tian Xie suddenly let go of Su Fei Fei and charged forward while she let out a surprised scream. Instantly running out like a fire arrow, he reached a terrifying speed that normal people could not dream of reaching.
He did not open the door because opening the door would waste time. Charging in front of the door, the first thing Ye Tian Xie did was look through the peephole……What he saw was the dim light of the street lamps and the ground that became wet from the rain.
There was no one in sight.
The surprised Su Fei Fei ran beside Ye Tian Xie as fast as possible. She was panting as she hugged his body. At this moment, she would only not be afraid if she was by his side.
Ye Tian Xie grabbed Su Fei Fei's hand and then took a few steps back. Letting Su Fei Fei's lean against his body, the other hand grabbed the door handle. He silently twisted it open and then slowly revealed an incredibly tiny crack.
The door handle moving and the door swinging open made no sounds at all. Ye Tian Xie had the confidence to not fear any enemy, but that did not mean he would be arrogant and forget to be cautious. Especially in a situation he was uncertain about, he could not be careless at all.
The cold wind entered from the crack in the door and blew back Ye Tian Xie's hair. Ye Tian Xie's sharp eyes looked through the crack at the scene outside……Standing beside him, the nervous Su Fei Fei could clearly feel that the moment he looked out the crack, Ye Tian Xie's body had clearly stiffened and he revealed a deeply stunned expression.
"Tian….Tian Xie….." Su Fei Fei's hands became tighter, but the strange nervousness made her voice as small as possible.
With a stunned look on his face, Ye Tian Xie pulled open the main door.
Accompanying the rain was a wind that howled whistled by. Through the open door, Su Fei Fei only saw the opposite side of the villa, but then…..she suddenly looked down……
A flash of lightning perfectly appeared on time and illuminated the small figure of the young girl. Silently standing there without moving in the rain, the rain was soaking her hair and purple clothes. She was very silent. Even after the door was opened and two people appeared in front of her, she silently stood there.
In that moment, not to mention Su Fei Fei, even Ye Tian Xie felt somewhat helpless.
"Tian Xie, she……" Seeing the silent and strange young girl, Su Fei Fei unconsciously looked at Ye Tian Xie. While the storm raged on, was it this little girl who was knocking on the door? It was no wonder they could not see her through the peephole. Her body was so short that she would not be able to reach the height of the peephole at all.

Her eyes……On her raised little face, her eyes were tightly shut. There were no gaps between the two lids, they were only decorated with thin and long eyelashes.
Ye Tian Xie paid attention to their surroundings and confirmed that there was no one else around. Suppressing his doubt, he bent down and gently asked, "Little sister, what is your name? Why are you here……Are you lost?"
……There was no answer, but when Ye Tian Xie's voice sounded out, he clearly saw the young girl's body tremble a bit. It was as if she were battling with some kind of coldness.
The little girl drenched from the rain made Su Fei Fei's heart ache. She went forward and held the girl's hand, "Tian Xie, let her come in first. This little child will catch cold."
