Ch 9 The Trouble within the Knights, Mofumofu's ReturnA few days have passed after the incident with Oswald, Fioria then paid a visit to the royal knight's barrack.
"Even so Fia, you really did not change a teeny bit this 20 years. Argh I'm so envious of you. This you, you~"
"Fufu, you too look fine Cathya, I feel at ease."
Cathya di Olresia, captain of the 4th platoon of the royal knights is currently being her guide. Currently 37 and was previously Fioria's classmate. Their reunion after 20 years brought back nostalgic thoughts and warmth between them both.
"Well, this Cathya here has no other redeeming features other than my very own cheerfulness. And it's also thanks to it that I got ahold of my husband."
"So you are married to Jake… Though he's the exact opposite of your type, is that even acceptable?"
Cathya's husband, Jake di Olresia is of the same age with Fioria. The so called studious and silent type of person, the exact opposite of the rowdy personality of Cathya.
Incidentally, Jake is one of the capture targets of "The Deep Sleep of Amnesia", and Cathya is the rival character involved during his route.
Both were childhood friends and had feelings for each other. More than friends but less than lovers, they have a vexing relationship.
Then comes Annerose who comes like the wind and takes away Jake, but that's not the case in this world.
Though before her appearance, Fioria had provoked Cathya to take actions to obtain what she truly wishes for. Which then results to her passionate (physical) approach towards capturing Jake's heart.
Their lovey doveyness turned off people around them and shortly after graduating from the noble academy, both got married.
The Olresia Marquis family where Cathya married off to has a long history in the military. She who had trained in the art of the sword during her days in the academy were welcomed warmly into the family. Greatly adored by her mother-in-law like her own daughter, every time she returns back the sound of wooden swords clashing with each other in harmony can be heard.
What are you girls, middle school guys?
"How is marriage life? Doing well?"
"Of course! We are still lovey dovey now. And our son is cute to boot."
"Son?"
Though I have heard of their marriage, to think that they even have a son already. In contrast, her figure did not deteriorate in any way, which may be thanks to the daily training she does.
"He's enrolling in the noble academy this year, well.. you could say he's quite popular which is expected since he looks like Jake."
"Ah, I see.."
The Jake back then had an aura filled with wisdom and maturity. Looking like him will definitely captivate the eyes of not few noble daughters.
"But that child, he has quite a troublesome quirk…"
"What's wrong? If you are fine with me, I could lend an ear." As Fioria being goody old shoes as always.
"Captain! Bad news!" and so a young lady approached in a rush.
She happens to be Cathya's subordinate, a member of the 4th platoon of the royal knights.
"Hm? What's wrong, Lizliz?"
"I'm not Lizliz, call me Liz. Well, actually, there is currently a trouble with the 1st platoon about the schedule for using the main training ground."
"Isn't the schedule for today set for the 4th platoon? I myself checked on it this morning."
"I too have checked on it, however, they forcefully wanted to use the grounds for the upcoming matchings."
"Then bring all of the members from the 4th platoon and beat them up."
Which would be great training for those people.
Or so Cathya blurted out such terrifying words without hesitation. Fioria who was beside her nodded in response to the nice idea. Both were birds of the same flock.
"But, that… The Canossa duke's second son is over there."
"Ah…" As Cathya scratches her cheeks in trouble.
Speaking of the Canossa duke family, though not as influential as the Florence, it's still hard to oppose them.
"Oh yeah, that indolent son did enter the 1st platoon not long ago. This is so troublesome. This really is quite a challenge for you guys. …Fia, apologies but can you wait for a while? I will get back to guiding you after."
"No worries, since it's a rare sight, please do let me observe. …I have a hunch this will become interesting."
"…Geh"
Cathya's expression froze up.
"Every time you say 'interesting' will turn out into something outrageous…"
"Please do not worry, I will be quiet."
"Please do so, really… I really do not wish for there to be corpses." Or so Cathya pleaded.
The female knight then tilted her head in confusion.
"Uhm, captain, the lady over there is…?"
"Ah, I forgot to introduce to you. This here was previously my classmate, the daughter from the Florence duke family, your beloved 'Fiorineesama' she is."
"Pleased to meet you, I am Fioria di Florence. ….Hey, Cathya, what was that introduction."
What is with the Fiorineesama thing, or so a question mark popped up in her head before….
"Eh, EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHHHHH?!"
Liz screamed out hysterically.
"T-th-this this person is that…. That!"
"Is my existence that much of a wonder?"
"Of course it is! Fiorineesama is, that Fiorineesama you know! The model for the character of that novel… P-please give me your signature later on!"
"….Well, if you are fine with mine."
Isn't that usually something you ask from the author?
"T-thank you very much! I will definitely bring over the book later on, so please do!"
"I understand. But foremost, we should get to solving the trouble aforementioned. Would you kindly guide us over?"
"With great pleasure!" Liz replied respectfully with her back standing straight.
Cathya beside her joking with 'Aren't you better suited to be the captain rather than me?' and laughing discretely.
