Ch 7 : Fioria's change and the escape of the former fiancé

(Oh…?)

Fioria had a sudden bad feeling recalled.

A faint but definite pain in her chest.

(This is a first for me.)

For not accepting Vincent's feelings of love, I wonder am I regretting it.

She had experienced her heart shaking a few times, but never did her heart ever waver.

(I wonder what's wrong?)

The past me, and the current me.

As I try to compare the difference between them, … is it possible, it's because I had remembered about my past life?

(The previous me had yearned for love)

A heart throbbing encounter.

The sweet times  passed with my beloved.

As I long for those feelings though unable to have, I drown myself in otome games and novels.

(But I'm still not too sure about this feeling called love)

As I assimilate with the previous me, someway or another, had my heart too changed to hers?

(This is interesting)

'Loneliness*', may be what is best to express what I feel now

(Why not I go read some romance novels)

After the audience with Vincent, on a whim, she dropped into a bookstore in the capital.

What surprised her was the contents of a best selling novel.

It was a fiction story regarding a woman who was quite similar to Fioria.

The author's name was Leonora di Ambrose, who during her time at the noble academy was Fioria's classmate and adored her much. She did mention that she likes to read books, but it was unexpected that she became an author.

"Shop keeper, could you kindly procure each volume of this author's work? 100 of each."

Delighted she was, she unbearably shopped impulsively.

After her return to the villa, Fioria have sudden moments of thoughts.

Will I someday fall in love with someone? How about marriage?

The engagement with Oswald had long been cancelled, even if he begged I would not move an inch.

Then, a political marriage with some other noble? Or maybe be wed to another country?

(Well, what goes, goes then)

Flora (Fioria's mother) had fell in love in first sight on Gream passionately (physically that is) advanced on him.

Crushing an apple, it was Marriage or Die.

(No matter how many times I think of it, Mother and Father's way of thinking is weird.)

As she thought of so, Fioria went out of her room.

To lighten her mood, she decided to cook in the kitchen for a change.

By the way, due to Fioria's way of cooking of adding to much arrangement (of seasonings or adding in stuff) and cooking skills that even Lex who had swore unconditional loyalty had ran away using 'I had forgotten something at the bookstore just now' as an excuse.

As she hums a legendary classic (or so she believes to) as if calling upon the dead, she started to pick out the ingredients.

Let's make tomato spaghetti then. But I was hoping for something with a tad of chewiness, so adding in some bell peppers and pumpkin should do the trick.

… Or so she was thinking to do when a heavily breathing young man had rushed in.

"M-Milady! Bad news! A royal had visited, and requests your immediate presence!"

"A royal? I wonder who would that be?"

"In any case, your presence is of essence now…"

"I shall go forth now. …Though I have a bad feeling somehow."
