"We live in a different Galaxy and have different branch clans."
"From what I have seen, your mother must have been a mixed breed or an illegitimate child; hence she was assigned the basic duty of energy gathering," Shū explained.
Hagoromo felt as though his existence had been insulted.

"Aren't you a mixed breed as well?" Hagoromo asked in a firm voice, thinking back to the conversation he had seen that took place between Shū and Naruto when Naruto wanted to save Zabuza and Haku.
"I understand how you feel; however, that's how it was in the past."
"Those of lower birth in the clan would be assigned to mere Energy gathering duties."
"You see, the Ōtsutsuki clan requires a lot of energy to survive, considering that we could be labeled as half god-class beings."
"If we were to depend upon our home planet to sustain our energy solely, the planet would barely survive past a week."
"Which is why we send people from our clan to different planets on a mission to bring back energy from other planets for our continued survival."
"I see…" Hagoromo murmured.
"The tree which your mother brought over here, also known as the god tree is just one of millions we have back at home for storing energies for our clan's use," Shū explained.

"My guess is that she wanted to use that opportunity to leave this planet we are on, to fight her way back into the clan and get herself a position after consuming the chakra fruit," Shū explained.

"That would make sense." Hagoromo nodded.
"However, there is one thing that is bothering me." Hagoromo paused.
"What is it?" Shū asked.
"How did his team defeat your clan that was on the other planet before he came here…?" Hagoromo asked.
"That one?"
"It's because that planet was composed of the branch members who were from the martial branch of the clan," Shū explained.
"Branch members of the martial branch…" Hagoromo murmured thinking back to the conversation that Shū had with Naruto.
"If branch members are that powerful…"
("Then how strong are the main branch members and the pure-blooded ones….") Hagoromo thought.

On the battlefield…
Jiraiya blocked Orochimaru, while Rasa was pinned down by Minato.
"Hah!" Hiruzen sent his adamantine staff to destroy the pieces of Tobirama which were gathering.
("Damn it!")
("I need to kill that brat right now!") Orochimaru cursed following which he made his body flexible like it had no bones and slipped out of Jiraiya's hair.
"No!" Jiraiya cursed following which he retracted his hair and chased after Orochimaru.

Orochimaru snorted, following which he extended his neck and used it to slither his way towards Naruto.
"DAMN IT!"
"TSUNADE SNAP OUT OF IT!" Jiraiya shouted towards Tsunade who was just a few meters away from Naruto.
"Huh?" The shivering Tsunade opened her eyes a bit only to see Orochimaru open his mouth as he proceeded towards Naruto.
Orochimaru's mouth which was open, had a snake come out from inside which also opened its mouth.

A sword appeared, following which it extended towards Naruto at high speed.
"NOOOOO!!!!!!!!" Tsunade quickly rushed forth almost placing a significant amount of strain on her tendons.
(Whoosh!) Tsunade appeared before Naruto.
*Pierces*
"Damn it!" Orochimaru cursed upon seeing his attack fail, only to pierce through Tsunade at the center of her chest.
"Hmph!" Orochimaru snorted as he retracted the sword and stared at the once again shivering Tsunade.
*Sh!*
Blood poured out of Tsunade after the sword was removed.
"Tsunade!"
"I thought I didn't need to worry about you if you already saw blood, yet you are persistent."
"I understand how this kid reminds you of your little brother…"
"Tell you what."
"If you stop interfering, I might revive Nawaki for you!" Orochimaru said.
"After all, if this child continues to live there will be trouble in the future on a variety of levels," Orochimaru said.
("Nawaki…") Tsunade hesitated a bit.
"Hmph!" Orochimaru snickered following which he sent Tsunade flying with a kick.
"You are fooled so easily!"
"Trembling at the sight of blood, why would you, one of the sannin, risk your life to protect a kid who's nowhere related to you."
"Back then, you were not even concerned about those three kids that we met during the war," Orochimaru said.
"You may be right…"
"Unlike Jiraiya who looked after the kids by staying back, I hesitated even to make such a simple choice…" Tsunade said as she tried to catch her breath by holding the place which was bleeding with her hand.
"Tsunade…" Jiraiya murmured.
"However, this kid, I will protect him…"

"You'd better take your words back!" Naruto ordered in a firm voice.
"Hmph!"
"What gave you the guts to order me like that?" Tsunade asked as she looked down on Naruto.

Tsunade felt her heart beat faster for some reason, as she stared at Naruto's determined expression,

"To become a Hokage is my dream!" Naruto stated as he pointed his thumb towards the center of his chest.
Tsunade was reminded of Dan and Nawaki while staring at Naruto.

("That explains it, the kid is just like her little brother.") Orochimaru shook his head.
"To hell with the Hokage!"
"Only a fool does that job!" Orochimaru said following which he once again opened his mouth to reveal his sword.

"Die!" Orochimaru shouted as he moved towards Tsunade.
"Damn that pesky neck of his.." Jiraiya cursed as he appeared by Orochimaru's body and started to pull the neck towards himself.
"Hmm…." Orochimaru looked back to see Jiraiya pulling his neck.
"Hmph!" Orochimaru continued to extend his neck and also spat out the sword faster.
*Pierces*
"TSUNADE!" Jiraiya called out in horror to see Tsunade blocking Orochimaru again.
"I…"
"already…"
"told..you…"
"…" Orochimaru frowned.
"I'll protect this kid at the cost OF MY LIFE !" Tsunade shouted as she brimmed with battle intent.
"No way…" Orochimaru stared in disbelief at Tsunade who was not shivering anymore.
"She overcame her fear of blood…" Orochimaru murmured.
*Ugh!* Tsunade suffered a bit of pain as she pulled Orochimaru's face away along with the sword, following which…
(Bang!) Tsunade kicked Orochimaru's face away like a football.
"Good Kick!" Jiraiya nodded as he saw Orochimaru retracting his neck to reach where Jiraiya was standing.
("I'll get him this time…") Jiraiya thought; however…

Orochimaru opened his mouth to reveal another version of him that came out of his mouth.
"TSUNADE!"
"I'LL KILL YOU!" Orochimaru shouted in anger.
Tsunade placed her hands together.
