Upon hearing this, Gao Yarou immediately jumped up in anger. “Who are you calling a dog? Do you think I won’t hit you?”
She then stormed towards Han Yueyao, but was stopped by Nie Lingxuan before she could reach her.
“Yaruo, what are you doing?”
“Lingxuan, you have no idea what happened while you were gone. I think something went haywire in President Su’s head, but he won’t stop promoting this woman… when we were trainees, she was always rude to me even though I was the team leader… none of us like her…”
Gao Yaruo acted without restraint because she thought Nie Lingxuan was on her side. Even Han Yueyao knew that Imperial Star signed Gao Yaruo and assigned her to be the trainee team leader because Nie Lingxuan’s manager was her cousin.
They knew each other well, so it was normal for Gao Yaruo to be arrogant after Nie Lingxuan’s return, more so than she used to be.
“Yaruo, it’s not worth it to get mad at uneducated people,” Nie Lingxuan’s manager said; she obviously stood on her cousin’s side.
Han Yueyao, however, didn’t feel awkward at all. She also didn’t snap back at them. Instead, she glanced over at Nie Lingxuan. If her idol stood with Gao Yaruo and her manager, then she would no longer be her idol.
To her surprise, Nie Lingxuan looked angrily at Gao Yaruo. “Don’t doubt President Su’s decisions, he would never make a wrong decision for personal reasons. I’m sure he’s promoting Han Yueyao because she is good at her job. Also, I saw her show, and she was extremely professional. Yaruo, you should learn from her, don’t just assume that you’re good at everything… you’re still a rookie, there’s a lot you still have to learn.”
Nie Lingxuan scolded Gao Yaruo for picking a fight.
“Lingxuan…” Gao Yaruo was obviously not happy at what just happened.
“Can you give Han Yueyao and myself a minute?”
“Lingxuan, are you sure you’ll be okay by yourself?” Her manager glared angrily at Han Yueyao before turning to Nie Lingxuan with a smile.
“Yeah.”
Gao Yaruo and her cousin then left the dressing room unwillingly. Because the makeup artist hadn’t arrived yet, only Nie Lingxuan and Han Yueyao were left in the room.
Han Yueyao said, “I know Gao Yaruo is your manager’s cousin, and you guys are close. I’m grateful that you helped me just now, and thank you for acknowledging my skills.”
“Don’t say that, I know what kind of person Yaruo is. She’s always bullied newcomers… plus, it’s normal for her to be jealous of you, now that you’re more famous than she is, even though she debuted before you did… jealousy and bullying is a part of our everyday life, so don’t be brought down by what she says.”
“I don’t care about her, I’m very thick-faced.” Han Yueyao laughed.
“Come sit.” Nie Lingxuan patted the chair beside her, and Han Yueyao walked over with a smile, sitting down beside her idol.
“You’re here to remove your makeup, right? I’ll help you,” Nie Lingxuan said as she took out her makeup remover and squeezed some onto a cotton pad.
“No, no, it’s fine, I can do it myself…” Han Yueyao was shocked by Nie Lingxuan’s gesture and shook her head vigorously while making sure that she wasn’t being so loud that Nie Lingxuan would be startled.
