– At the First Hospital –
When Huo Mian and Qin Chu arrived, Yang Meirong hadn’t woken up yet .
They saw Zhixin and Bella .
“Sis, Brother-in-law . ”
“How is Mom? What happened?”
“She fainted and some passersby delivered her here… The doctor said she got some stimulation which triggered a heart attack . ”
“How did that happen?”
Huo Mian frowned slightly . With her and Zhixin well settled in life, nothing could agitate her mother so much that it would trigger a heart attack .
“Yeah, I’m puzzled too . But there are many witnesses . Our mom fainted herself; no one bumped into her,” Zhixin explained .
“Where is the doctor? Who took the case?”
“She’s over there . ”
Zhixin pointed at the office of the emergency room .
Huo Mian hurried over; afraid she’d slip, Qin Chu followed her closely .
“Dr . Zhao . ” Entering the office, Huo Mian saw the doctor was a colleague she was familiar with .
“Vice Director Huo . ” The doctor stood up respectfully .
“Dr . Zhao, what’s wrong with my mom?”
“She’s your mom?” The female doctor pushed up her glasses, looking surprised .
Huo Mian nodded .
“Vice Director Huo, your mother has had some old problems in her heart . Today the attack was triggered by some external stimulation… She got agitated by something, but her condition isn’t life-threatening . We did a thorough examination on her and gave her an injection to ease the symptoms . She’ll wake up soon . ”

“External stimulation…” Huo Mian bit on her lip with a bad feeling in her .
“At her age, your mom might get angry from arguing with someone while buying groceries in the market, etc . Anyway, we’ll know about it when she wakes up . ”

Qin Chu didn’t speak; he went to the vending machine and bought a few bottles of water .

“Honey, have some water . ” Qin Chu uncapped the bottle and handed it to her .
Huo Mian took the bottle and took a few sips; then she walked into the ward and sat beside her mother .
When one reached middle age, the problems relating to this period of life would come gradually .
Huo Mian had parents and kids; when they got sick and were admitted into the hospital, it was the most exhausting time .

Fortunately, she had Qin Chu to support the family for her no matter what happened .
“Sis, Brother-in-law said you didn’t eat supper . What do you want to eat? I’ll go and buy some for you . ”
Zhixin came behind Huo Mian .
“I’m not hungry . I don’t want to eat . ”
“Sister Mian, you don’t want to eat but the baby needs to eat . I’ll go and buy some hot food . ”
That said, Bella put on her coat and walked out .
Five minutes after Bella was gone, Yang Meirong woke up .
“Mom…”
Huo Mian leaned over and grabbed her mother’s hand .
