Truthfully, Linger Yao didn't want Qingfeng Li to die, since she still needed him to tell her the whereabouts of the Peacock Demon Empress. If he died, she wouldn't be able to find her idol.
Qingfeng Li furrowed his brows at her words. She clearly doubted his abilities, doubting that he could solve the array formation.
Of course, she wasn't the only one in disbelief. Almost everyone doubted Qingfeng Li.
The only ones who believed in him were Black Puppy, Flower Fairy, and Xianzhi Qin.
Qingfeng shook his head, staying silent.
Qingfeng Li knew that he couldn't explain anything. The only way for the others to trust him was to prove his abilities by solving the array formation.
Qingfeng Li walked towards the cave and arrived beside the array formation.
In front of Qingfeng Li was an emperor level battle array, which he discovered with a defensive type. There were nine battle points, located at the east, the south, the west, the north, the southeast, the southwest, the northeast, the northwest, and the center. There was an array flag placed in every direction.
An array flag was used to condense an array formation, creating a defensive energy veil that protected itself from outsiders.
The trick was to take out the central array flag. Once it is removed, the array formation would be solved and deactivated.
However, the nine array flag locations were constantly changing, never remaining in one place.
Seeing Qingfeng Li move in to solve the array formation, both the South Pole Spirit King and the White-Brow Daoist Master moved to the side.
They were watching Qingfeng Li, wanting to figure out what he was going to do differently. Was he going to solve the array formation?
Qingfeng Li had put everything on the line. If he failed, not only will he be humiliated, he will die at the hands of the Black Wind Duo Demons.
Qingfeng Li was focused, observing the nine array flags in front of him. Other than the array formation and its array flags, nothing else was in his brain.
Most of his knowledge in array formations were taught by Dark Night Emperor. The latter was more knowledgeable than everyone combined. After all, he used to be a saint, so it was natural for him to understand everything about emperor level array formations.
Basically, there appeared to be nine flags, but there was only real one that was projecting the images of the rest of the 8 flags. The other eight were there to distract the challenger.
All of the array flags were carved with a golden statue pattern.
All nine golden statues were the same, every one of them exuding an aura of ferocity.
Qingfeng Li also discovered that there were vitality stones placed around every array flag. These vitality stones were no ordinary vitality stones; they were all king-level vitality stones.
These vitality stones contained massive amounts of vital essence, proving an endless stream of power for the array formation and its flags.
"What a waste," Qingfeng Li murmured. As far as he was concerned, all of these king level vitality stones were precious babies. If he grabbed them all, he could definitely advance his cultivation level.
But now, these precious vitality stones were simply there to provide energy and protection to the array formation.
"Qingfeng Li, can you solve it or not? If you can't, I'm going to kill you." The Black Wind Duo Demons sneered at the sight of an immobile Qingfeng Li.
The Black Wind Duo Demons hated Qingfeng Li. If it were up to them, he would be sliced to pieces and skinned.
Qingfeng Li ignored them completely. He said lightly, " Don't worry, I'll solve this within half an hour."
Qingfeng Li's comeback left the Black Wind Duo Demons speechless. They were livid and about to explode from anger. But with Linger Yao there, they had to swallow their anger.
"Hmph! I'll let you be arrogant for a little longer. When you fail, I'm going to have so much fun torturing you that you'll wish you were dead!" This thought crossed both Black Wind's and Black Evil's minds.
"The first step should be the second array flag," Qingfeng Li smiled as he reached out to step on the second array flag.
At the sight of his movements, the South Pole Spirit King looked both surprised and confused.
"Qingfeng Li, didn't you say that the first step should go on the first array flag? Didn't you say that my first step was correct? Why are you stepping on the second array flag?" asked the South Pole Spirit King, furrowing her brows.
Qingfeng Li shook his head and explained, " There are many solutions to this array formation. I'm simply using another solution."
After his explanation, Qingfeng Li immediately returned to his calm state, focusing his mind on the array flags in front of him, figuring out his next step.
After a moment of thought, he reached out his second foot. This time, he skipped over the third array flag and stepped directly on top the fourth array flag.
There was no reaction from the array formation. It didn't attack nor obstruct him, which indicated that his steps were accurate.
Qingfeng Li followed the instructions in his head, carefully observing and stepping out with his right foot once again.
This time, he stepped on the sixth array flag and came out unscathed again.
At the sight of his third successful step, everyone was stunned, watching Qingfeng Li with eyes full of shock.
This was especially true for the South Pole Spirit King. At first, she wasn't too confident in Qingfeng Li, but now that he had confidently completed three steps in succession, she couldn't disregard his abilities any longer.
"Does this young man actually understand array formations?" murmured the South Pole Spirit King.
"Not possible! Qingfeng Li's only a self-cultivator. How can he understand array formations? He definitely guessed that one, and he's going to make a mistake in the next step." The Black Wind Duo Demons watched from Qingfeng Li from afar, their eyes chilling as could be.

Qingfeng Li stepped out his right foot and planted it on the eighth array flag.
Once again, he wasn't attacked by the array formation.
Soon, Qingfeng Li began to retreat from the eighth array flag. This time, however, it was all odd numbers. He started with the ninth, and then the seventh, and then the fifth, the third, and finally the first array flag.
Qingfeng Li reached out his right hand to pull out the array flag.
"Qingfeng Li, do not pull out the first array flag. It's not the array point!" The South Pole Spirit King yelled towards Qingfeng Li.
She was afraid that Qingfeng Li would destroy the array formation.
The South Pole Spirit King knew that normally, array points were always located at the center of array formations. In other words, it should be located at the fourth or fifth array flag, not at the first. It would have otherwise been too obvious. Anyone would've been able to solve it.
"Senior South Pole Spirit King, trust me. This first array flag is the array point."
Qingfeng Li was full of confidence. With the Dark Night Emperor guiding him in his brain, he was very clear about the identity of the array flag in front of him.
