Su Mu felt that the question was really laughable.
He wondered if he and Ye Qiao looked like the types who were so poor that they had to steal money from donations meant for charity. These reporters really didn’t know how much their values are.
“This is slander! We will take legal measures against whoever that is spreading these false rumours. To whomever that has information regarding the person spreading these rumours, do inform us,” Su Mu took off his sunglasses and said firmly to the camera.
By the window, a woman wearing a wide-brimmed black hat crossed her arms and smiled proudly. “Where’s Ye Qiao? has she come back?” she asked her subordinate.
“Miss, we had set up multiple obstacles but she somehow managed to get hold of a helicopter that brought her directly to J city. Currently, she just arrived at the hotel,” a man in a suit said respectfully with his head lowered.
“You idiots! You can’t even handle such a small matter,” the woman turned to the man and said sternly.
She was wearing sunglasses so it was difficult to make out who she was.
“Miss, her camera and camera memory card are all still in our hands. She has no evidence with her,” the man said in attempts to redeem himself.
“That’s true. What’s the use of having a bunch of receipts and a piece of paper with signatures on them?” the woman said confidently as if she was victorious.
When Mrs. Lu saw her daughter-in-law rushing from the back in a dirty t-shirt, her heart ached.
“Qiao Qiao, why are you doing this? You’ve done so many good deeds but people end up doubting you. Grandma called me to ask about this and I promised her that I would help you settle it,” Mrs. Lu said to Ye Qiao as she walked with her.
“Auntie, I’m very touched that you trust me. Don’t worry about me. I have to hurry to the scene. Have all the clothes, jewelry and makeup artists I asked for arrived? I really can’t appear on camera with my current appearance.”
“They’re all ready. I just want you to know that you have our full support. I’d like to see who would dare come after you,” Mrs. Lu said as she held her hand and entered the elevator.
“Su Mu, you have no evidence to back what you said. The fact that Miss Ye has not appeared is rather suspicious as well. Is it possible that there is a conflict in the charity?” a female reporter sitting in the corner asked.

She was holding a handbag in her hand and on her left wrist was a six-digit luxury watch, She was also wearing a three-carat diamond ring on her ring finger.
She looked truly powerful and of nobility.

Every form of donation made to our charity were used to purchase necessities and supplies for the disaster stricken victims of the flood. I have here with me the invoices and receipts for the supplies we purchased over the past half a month. Please have a look.”
The large screen turned on behind her and was zooming in for a closer look of the receipts and invoices Ye Qiao had brought with her.
“Miss Ye, these invoices and receipts can prove that you bought these supplies but how can you prove that these supplies were all in the hands of the disaster-stricken people instead of being used for other purposes?” one of the reporters asked.
It came to Ye Qiao’s attention that whoever was framing them must have bribed some of the reporters to ask these types of questions to make her look guilty.
