Fang Chen frowned before he adjusted his mask and pulled his phone from his pocket to make a call.
After hanging up the phone, Fang Chen looked at Huo Yao. “It is probably some reporter. Don’t worry about it.”
Huo Yao lowered her eyes and acknowledged him softly in a calm tone.
After all, Fang Chen was the city mayor. No reporters in their right minds would dare to put their career at stake by reporting about him.
Huo Tingrui came back from the bathroom and asked. “Are we heading home now?”
Huo Yao nodded. “Uh huh.”
Before long, they bade farewell to Fang Chen and Fang Ting and parted ways.
Fang Ting watched their car leave before getting into their car and telling the chauffeur to drive.
After Fang Chen finished using the phone, a thought crossed his mind and he looked sideways at his little sister. “Was Mom trying to matchmake you with Huo Tingrui?”
He vaguely recalled their mother saying that it was a renowned lawyer. Huo Tingrui happened to say that he was a lawyer while they chatted during lunch.
Fang Ting touched her nose. “Uh huh.”
Fang Chen raised his brow and said, “I think he’s a good match. He is very refined…”
The moment Fang Ting heard what her older brother said, she raised her hand and interrupted him. “Stop right there. He is not my type.”
Moreover, Huo Tingrui clearly did not like her.
Fang Chen stopped harping on this subject since there was no point forcing her to date him.
“I like his little sister a lot, though, from the moment I met her,” said Fang Ting.
Fang Ting did not fancy Huo Tingrui but liked his little sister.
Fang Chen’s lips twitched as he looked at her strangely.
Fang Ting took out her phone and tapped on a video platform. Huo Yao’s sportswear advertisement happened to pop up on the home page.
Even though she had seen the advertisement countless times, she smiled each time.
Fang Ting turned to look at her older brother and saw him working on some documents. She could not help shaking her head as she said angrily, “Do you really have to work now that it is finally the weekend? Can’t you relax a little on a Saturday?”
Fang Ting contemplated before placing her phone in front of Fang Chen. “Look at her. Isn’t she cool?”
Since Fang Ting had blocked Fang Chen’s view, he helplessly veered his head sideways and looked at Fang Ting solemnly. “Cut it out.”
The moment Fang Ting heard him, she took her phone back sheepishly.
Fang Chen inadvertently saw a girl wearing a mask on her phone screen and found her to be awfully familiar, so he went into a daze.
Even though half her face was covered with a mask, it was instantly recognizable since he was acquainted with her.
Fang Chen gathered his thoughts and glanced at Fang Ting. “Isn’t that Huo Yao?”
“Huh?” Fang Ting had already swiped downwards and a few other videos popped up on the screen.
A few seconds later, she raised her head. “Huh? What did you just say? Was it Yaoyao?”
“That video you were watching with the girl wearing a mask. Isn’t that her?” asked Fang Chen patiently.
Fang Ting opened her eyes wide before she swiped up to the advertisement and pressed pause after it played. She scrutinized it carefully and found that her older brother was spot on!
Oh god!
Fang Ting’s expression cracked.
Fang Ting was Huo Xiang’s fan, so she followed ‘Countryside Life With My Family’ faithfully. However, she ended up becoming his little sister’s fan. Huo Xiang’s little sister was so cool and capable that Fang Ting adored her.
She had been so curious about her appearance all this while.
In the end, Fang Ting failed to recognize Huo Yao even when she had been standing right in front of her!
