Yun Sheng had long heard from the village hunters that the demonic snake beast wasn’t venomous. However, this willow green snake can spit out sharp wind blades similar to that of awns.

This was Yun Sheng’s first time coming across a beast.

In comparison to her previous life the one she had today, there was still a big difference. After all, magic didn’t exist and there were no such thing as magical beasts.

Fortunately, Yun Sheng was already accustomed to life-death situations. Although she started to panic at first, Yun Sheng was able to calm down within a short time.

Medical doctors, regardless of the circumstances, are required to remain absolutely calm.

Suddenly, several bone needles had appeared in an instant between Yun Sheng’s fingers. These bone needles were different from the bone needles Yun Sheng had used in the past. These needles were coated with the poison of the mandala lotus.

Her pupils contracted as the wind blades sharply flew towards her. Yun Sheng lightly yet swiftly moved – so fast as if her body was flickering within the grass while she dodged the attack.

The willow green snake (First Level Demonic Beast), after spitting out the first batch of wind blades, needed to reaccumulate its wind energy in order to conduct a second attack.

While the eyes of the willow green snakes are green – an indication of it gathering more wind energy, the bone needles in the Yun Sheng’s hands were aimed at the snake’s heart. “CHI…”, the snake’s hissing was similar to the sound produced from a steel bar ringing. The bone needles within Yun Sheng’s hands abruptly flashed like a han guang (light from the reflection of knives, swords, etc.)

The haughty willow green snake was suddenly nailed to the ground by several bone needles with the needle tips inserted into the snake’s body. The anesthetic from the needles immediately started to take effect. The snake struggled a few times. However, the anesthetic had already started to work in the snake’s body, causing it to be in a state of coma.

Yun Sheng slightly stretched her wrist, picked up the unconscious willow green snake, and stored her needles away.

As Yun Sheng searched for the snake’s dan (similar to energy crystals stored in beasts), a scalpel appeared in her knife. A perfectly fine willow green snake was sliced open as its dan was dug out.

Yun Sheng used the water from the water sac that she always carried on her to wash the dan before swallowing it.

As the snake’s dan entered her body, Yun Sheng started to feel hot from her stomach.

The snake’s dan nourishes the yin and yang energy within the body. For people with a weak body such as Yun Sheng who lacked nourishment and vitality, the snake’s dan is considered to be a tonic.

After digging out the dan, Yun Sheng proceeded to skin the snake. Yet what she ended up was an empty snake belly.

“It seems that this is just a willow green snake born once a year, but unfortunately, there is no spirit crystal like what the Uncle had said,” Yun Sheng’s small face dimmed.

At Jiao Ye Village, the hunters are richer than the pharmacists. More hunterers lived in homes constructed out of stones.

The reason why is because the hunters can go into the mountains and hunt for beasts even if the beasts were only low tiered ones.

Demonic beasts are considered to be treasures. Their skins are made into different types of armor, their meat can be sold. However, the most valuable part of the demonic beasts are their bones and their spirit crystals.

The bones from the demonic beasts are used as ingredients to make magical weapons. As for the spirit crystals, there were even more uses to it.

They could be placed on magical staffs to embody magical elements as well as other additional aids. It could also assist magicians to replenish their energy.  According to the legends, if one is lucky some of the spirit crystals also embodies magical spells and knowledge.

This type of spirit crystal are typically extremely expensive.

It’s a pity that the demonic beast bones and spirit crystals are all extremely rare. Only demonic beasts that are older than 10 years are able to grow bones that could be crafted into magical wands. 10 year old bones typically are made into the lowest leveled magical wands and weapons.

As for the demonic beast spirit crystal,  it is necessary for the demonic beast to be at least a few decades old to produce a spirit crystal.

First leveled demonic beasts are mostly around five years of age and second tiered or even third tiered demonic beasts range from at least ten years old to being decades old.

With Yun Sheng’s current strength, killing a level one demonic beast isn’t considered a problem. However, if she had encountered a group of level one demonic beasts or even a single level two demonic beasts, she would’ve suffered.

Yun Sheng, using her magical powers, at the thousand beast grave mountain, she killed a few willow green snakes and found some common herbs that strengthened the body.

It was a pity that she still hadn’t found the moonlight grass from the legend that could change one’s magical physique.

“It’s almost noon. I better go home first. If father can’t find me at the village leader’s home, it’ll become problematic”, Yun Sheng started to head down the mountains. At this time, the sky dimmed.

Yun Sheng looked up towards the sky and noticed that there was a beautiful red cloud.

The cloud was a bright red color. It had been entrenched at the thousand beast grave mountain for a long time, unwilling to leave.

It was as if the sky was falling down while the clouds were rolling in the atmosphere nonstop.

Just like the sea that swayed in the storm, the atmosphere had become depressing. It was similar to the air before a summer rainstorm. (Hard to breathe).

Was the weather changing?

Yun Sheng started to pick up her pace. The sky was getting darker and darker with a pitch black atmosphere in the front.

Even with her microscopic Shennong, Yun Sheng could barely see the road ahead.

Suddenly, a dark shadow had appeared above the sun. The dark shadow slowly expanded as if something was swallowing the sun up.

Just right when the sun was being engulfed, the red cloud in the air moved strangely towards the sky, as if it was hiding from something.

At Jiao Ye Village, the villagers saw such a sight in the sky that it had frightened them so much. Hence, they all quickly hid in their homes.

“Tian Gou Tun Ri, it’s Tian Gou Tun Ri (Heavenly Dog Eclipse Day)! If discovered by the Tian Gou, you will be eaten!” At Jiao Ye Village, every family has hidden in their home.

As Yun Sheng walked in the mountains, she had also witnessed the strange scene of Tian Gou swallowing up the sun.

Wasn’t it just the solar eclipse?! Yun Sheng who had the scientific knowledge from modern days wasn’t frightened by the scenario.

She barely recognized the road in front of her. Hence, she slightly sprinted down the mountains.

Her foot suddenly staggered, causing her to step on a root of a tree. Yun Sheng along with her medicine started to roll down the mountains.

She deviated from the mountain road, fell all the way down the mountain, and didn’t even know which part of the mountain she had fallen into. There was only a “BANG” that ranged throughout the mountains.

Yun Sheng’s head had hit against something hard.

After being dizzy for a while, Yun Sheng opened her eyes and looked around her surroundings. She noticed that right by her foot was a bright glowing light.

“This is? Moonlight Grass!” Nearby, a soft and still grass was glowing like the light from the moon. In the darkness, it emitted a light similar to that of a firefly.

The Moonlight Grass grew on a slope. At this slope loomed the shape of a tomb.

Yun Sheng’s head was just on top of the tombstone of the grave.

The entire tombstone was smashed and signs of blood appeared on Yun Sheng’s head.

Thinking about it, this must be the grave the beast!

The beast’s grave was desolate, as if no one had come in a long time.

In her previous life, Yun Sheng was a doctor. She had interacted with corpse multiple times. She didn’t avoid the grave after coming across it.

No wonder the villagers had never come across the Moonlight Grass when coming into the mountains.

Moonlight Grass will only appear under the dark night.

With moonlight grass, one will be able to change their magical affinity.

Yun Sheng was delighted! With her Shennong bracelet as a protective charm, she wasn’t worried about her head injury. She lightly touched her wound and only after determining that nothing serious happened, did she start to gather the moonlight grass and the seedlings.

She stopped gathering only until she had cleared almost all of the moonlight grass in the area.

At this time, the dark clouds in the sky gradually dispersed, indicating the end of the Heavenly Dog Eclipse with the sun appearing again.

Yun Sheng noticed that the “beast” ring on her hand was also stained with fresh blood. Thinking about it, it must’ve been from earlier when she rubbed her hand across her wound.

“Huh? How come the sludge on the ring suddenly become clean? Is this a totem?” Yun Sheng looked at her ring in astonishment. The ring was simple and clean. It was engraved with a sign similar to a beast’s head. However it was unclear what kind of animal head it was.

No matter what, first go down the mountain then examine it.

Yun Sheng’s harvest today wasn’t small. She happily went down the mountains.

Shortly after Yun Sheng had left, the nameless tomb loudly collapsed.

From the slanted collapsed grave, a small squeak sounded.

A small black shadow swayed and climbed out of the grave.
