Chapter 3: Mysterious Middle-aged Man (Part Two)

“Most men, Qi turn from left, the upper part of the injury is easier to treat, the lower part of the injury is tougher to treat, resulting in Yang Qi rising. What about a woman? ”

Fang Qiu calmly pulled out the book “Traumatology Accomplishments” and answered, “Women’s blood turn from right, the lower part of the injury is easier to treat, the upper part of the injury is difficult to treat, resulting in Yin blood decreasing.” [1]

“What is the solution?” The middle-aged man asked.

“Souk amomom in boiling water, with a dose of Jili powder take it, then add Shunqi Huoxue in the boiling water, followed by granulated sugar flower wine, and finally mix in five pills of Injury Pills.”

Fang Qiu replied.

“Out of most head injuries, damages to the brain are hard to treat. Green color bone is also difficult to treat. If he or she breaks their own flesh and bones, what is the solution?”

"Soon, apply the Empty Pain powder, and take in five to six doses of Wind Dispersing Qi decoction. For healing the wound, add in Shunqi decoction to enrich the blood. If there is tetanus and the jaws are tightly closed or has opisthotonus syndrome. Urgently use Dragon Life Seizing decoction to treat it." [2] [3]

Fang Qiu picked up the book titled "Secret Prescription for a Fall".

The middle aged man asked another question and Fang Qiu answered with the precise sentence from the book and picked up the corresponding book.

“Haha, not bad!”

The middle-aged man happily laughed and asked four questions in a row. The little fellow in front of him not only answered all the questions fluently but also drew out the four corresponding medical books.

In particular, the first one, where he purposely asked a question from the wrong book, the other party could still figure out the correct book.

What did it mean?

It meant that the other party had learned all the contents of the book by heart.

'This student is interesting!'

“Dare I ask, who are you?”

Fang Qiu respectfully asked.

He never believed that the middle-aged man was just a simple librarian.

To be able to ask question from every book, and also accurately judging whether his answer was right or wrong. This was enough to show that the person in front of him was by no means ordinary.

His powerful memory was trained, but the middle-aged man didn't even seem to cultivate.

Since he did not train and had such a memory, who was this person?

“A librarian just working for a living, whose brain is just functioning well.”

The middle-aged man smiled as he simply said a sentence.

Fang Qiu obviously didn’t believe it. Seeing the middle-aged man not saying more, he stopped inquiring. Nevertheless, from today, he learned that this middle-aged man was definitely not an ordinary man.

The latter also knew that Fang Qiu was certainly not an ordinary person.

Since both the secret men weren't surprised, it only proved that each of them had their own secrets.

When the library card was returned to Fang Qiu, the middle-aged man looked at the stack of ancient books and thought for a while, he said, “The third shelf in the traumatology section facing south on the lowest floor, eighty-second book from the east, 'The Essentials of Traumatology'.”

Huh?

Fang Qiu doubted as he looked at the middle-aged man.

“If you want to read ancient books about injuries, I suggest you to have a look at it.”

As the middle aged man finished speaking, he stopped paying attention to Fang Qiu.

Fang Qiu looked deeply at the middle-aged man, slightly hesitated, and went straight into the library.

The middle-aged man looked at Fang Qiu’s back, anticipating a good outcome.

“Eighty… Eighty-one… Eighty-two! ”

According to the location the middle-aged man provided, Fang Qiu really found the book “The Essentials of Traumatology”.

He picked it up. The book seemed to be collecting dust for countless years which made him even more confused.

Who was this middle-aged man?

Is he really an ordinary librarian?

Only those who are familiar with the library could only tell exactly the location of the book.

No ordinary management staff could simply do this.

Filled with doubts, Fang Qiu examined the book and overall looked at it. Thing was, nothing strange could be found.

It was no different from the other ancient books regarding the field of orthopedics.

If this was the case, the middle-aged man wouldn't simply recommend this book.

Turning it over again.

Unexpectedly a page fell from the book.

Fang Qiu instantly thrust his right hand and caught the page like lightning.

He was slightly nervous at this moment.

What if it got damaged? This was an ancient book and might even be the only one. If anything happens to it, he definitely wouldn't be able to compensate with the money in his pocket!

After a careful look, it turned out to be a blank page.

And there was no sign of tear.

He was relieved.

It seemed that this page wasn't from the book. It might had been inserted in the book and fell when he turned over the book.

Just as he was about to return it back, his finger touched the center of the page.

ZZzz!

He was stunned as if by struck by lightning.

Fang Qiu was astonished as he observed the blank page in his hand.
