Qin Feng breathed out the name as though it was a spell incantation.
Z nodded and smiled. “Li Xiao is really powerful. The Li family once had a champion so great that he almost became a supreme champion. In fact, I don’t know if that man is really dead or not.”
Qin Feng stared at Z speechlessly.
Information like this was something even the pre-reborn Qin Feng could not get a hold of.
Z then looked at Qin Feng intently. “So, you better get stronger quickly. If not, the Li family would definitely try laying you to waste. They would never allow another person to become the supreme champion!”
Despite feeling great shock, Qin Feng mocked up a calm look.
Humans would rise up selflessly to protect one another when in time of crises. However, in peaceful times, they would fight one another endlessly.
In Chengbei colony, where Qin Feng came from, it was a rather small, unruly place. When the rat swarm came, everyone did their best to stop the ultra beasts. Eventually, with the combined efforts of everyone in Chengbei, they overcame the crisis.
However, after the rat swarm, when everyone finally got to live a peaceful life, the hard-earned peace was destroyed via numerous infighting.
If Z’s words were to be believed, an SSS-tier did appear in Prince Xiao’s family before. And that person was the only person who got close to becoming a supreme champion in the last two hundred years.
SSS-tier. An existence so supreme that he was like an emperor amongst the S-tiers.
Huh. Hence, this was why Li Xiao was called “Prince Xiao”. This was quite a fitting name really.
And if there was someone showing a great deal of talent and potential, perhaps far better than Prince Xiao, making him the much better candidate to become the supreme champion, would the Li family humbly accept this?
Perhaps humans could co-exist with one another when they were equal. But now that this family had already gotten a taste of greatness, they would do anything to stop others from taking away the “best” title from them. To them, “being the best” was what defined them and their family.
What a terrifying enemy!
However, a moment later, Qin Feng beamed up a bitter smile. “If you’re thinking of using this as an excuse to lure me into agreeing to going through your experiments, you’re dead wrong, Z!”
Indeed, Z’s information and intel gave Qin Feng a good scare.
Still, when Qin Feng thought about it carefully, these were not really something to be fearful of. Qin Feng had the intention of becoming a supreme champion after being reborn. There was no way he would be content with becoming just a little stronger than who and what he was in his previous life. Qin Feng smiled coldly. “If you’ve got the time to say this to me, why don’t you go and research those living creatures that have just appeared in the overlapped space? These things hold a better chance in awakening humankind’s potential. Perhaps your dream of making humans unbeatable beings would be realized through this. Just give up on all those old research you’re so obsessed with back then. Those aren’t the right way!”
And Qin Feng was speaking earnestly too.
According to what he remembered from his previous life, Z’s research did not yield any actual results that he wanted. In fact, all that the research produced were more and more mutants that made the Dark Coalition stronger and stronger!
However, things could all be changed.
Due to Qin Feng’s meddling, Z’s research could very well change into something better for humanity! Qin Feng felt that the findings from within the overlapped space were something that were more suited and humane in awakening humankind’s potential.
Of course, it did not matter if Z wanted to pursue this research. Qin Feng intended to do it himself anyway.
Regardless, Qin Feng was going to head back into the overlapped space anyway—not just to collect research samples for himself but also for Z.
There was so much work to be done.
Thus, Qin Feng summoned Bai Li over.
“How’s things outside?” Qin Feng asked.
“It’s mostly been handled. Most of them want to come with us. As for those who want to stay and rebuild Chongluo City… heh, there’s no way we would accept them in our ranks again. If they have chosen that path, they better stick to it. Of course, if they want, I would send them to other cities. Or perhaps leave them all under the care of Li Yuanshan!”
“Hold on. The other B-tiers want to come with us too?” Qin Feng was surprised to hear this.
Bai Li nodded. She was an tier beast deity; so, to her, it was quite normal to have a few B-tier lackeys around.
However, those B-tiers did not want to go with them because of Bai Li. Jiang Haolin, Ning Xin, Long Tao and Zhou Ce wanted to pledge allegiance to Qin Feng.
After giving it a short ponder, Qin Feng made up his mind. “Jiang Haolin will be stationed at Fengli City. The other 3 will be stationed at the Cinderclast Region.”
“It’s your call!” Bai Li did not mind at all. She was indifferent with what kind of treatment these four people would have under their ranks. Still, she could tell who Qin Feng favored amongst the four of them.
Jiang Haolin was the one that Qin Feng trusted. As such, he was sent to Fengli City.
Although at first glance one would think that being sent to the Cinderclast Region was the better deal due to the vast resources one could gather from that realm, Qin Feng’s actual main site of operation was in Fengli City. In the city, they had Glittering Gold Sand. If Jiang Haolin was stationed there, he could rank up rather quickly.
Then, Qin Feng added, “I intend to covertly send a group of people into the overlapped space. To avoid detection, I intend to dig a tunnel and go there underground.”
Bai Li understood what Qin Feng meant immediately. “There’s no need for all that trouble. Even though the spatial coordinates are a mess in there, I could still open up a crack as an entrance to that realm. So long as we could secure a coordinate from the other side, I could open up an entry point from here.”
“So, you mean… we could teleport straight into the Fettering Land’s realm?”
And, this also meant that they did not need to go to Chongluo City too. Just anywhere on the other side.
Qin Feng planned to go there underground because he was worried that someone would detect them going to Chongluo City from the skies. However, the actual Fettering Land was not just the area around Chongluo City—the “Fettering Land” was basically an entire parallel Earth that was on the other side of a dimensional wall. Therefore, if they wanted, they could just go into that realm from a different spot on this Earth.
“Yeah, I’ve been studying this realm a lot when you’re not around. So, it’s quite viable.”
“It’s decided then!”
Qin Feng immediately contacted Wang Chen—an underling who had earned his trust.
“I need a group of unawakened civilians. The more the better. Sixteen years old or older. And they should be people who yearn to be ability users. More importantly, they must not be recruited against their will.”
“People who yearn to be ability users?” Wang Chen immediately recalled all those research labs that Qin Feng had established and understood what he meant.
