Yu Bing landed directly between the three shocked Sect Masters and Tian Yi, and on her face was a cold expression.
The old lady also landed, standing beside Yu Bing with a casual-looking expression on her face.
"D-Disciple greets the Ancestor!" Yu Weng bowed, and the other Azure Phoenix Sect disciples kowtowed from a distance, dumbfounding the people around them.
The Azure Phoenix Sect's Ancestor shook her head. "This young man is under my protection. If any of you dare touch him today or anytime in the future, then your Ancestors will have to leave their secluded meditation to go on an errand to look for coffins! As for you, Yu Weng, I am disappointed."
Le Shu and the Sect Master of the Heavenly Tiger Sect dropped their jaws. Did the Ancestor of the Azure Phoenix Sect just threaten to kill them if they touched this young man? What in the name of heaven is going on?
Yu Weng started sweating when she heard the Ancestor's words. She had disappointed her? How?!
"Are you okay?" Yu Bing turned to look at Tian Yi with a softened expression and asked.
"Un." He nodded. "I am fine."
Yu Bing sighed in relief upon hearing that he was fine, dumbfounding everybody there. What the hell was their relationship? Why did they look so intimate with each other?
"S-Senior Yu… W-What is going on?" Lu She asked the Ancestor.
Senior Yu glared at him and said, "What is going on, you ask?! You were just looking for trouble with the man who saved my beloved Bing'er's life, were you not?!!"
Senior Yu's words bewildered everybody there.
That young man saved Divine Grace Yu's life? How and when?
When Yu Bing left the carriage, she used all of her cultivation base to get back to the Azure Phoenix Sect's as fast as possible, and upon arrival, she went straight to Senior Yu to tell her about what had happened to her.
Everything from her meeting with this 'Shuyi' and how he had saved her after she had improperly consumed an Ice Phoenix Frozen Lotus to how he had even improved her cultivation base by leaps and bounds was conveyed to Senior Yu!
When Senior Yu listened to Yu Bing's experience with this 'Shuyi' guy, the shock in her heart grew stronger and stronger by the second.
For someone in this world to have the ability to heal an Ice Phoenix Frozen Lotus as easy as taking a stroll in the park— it was something that even she couldn't achieve!
Senior Yu turned to look at the ordinary-looking young man in front of her, and then she looked at Meng Xiang who was a Spirit Ascension Stage expert.
'I cannot sense his cultivating… as expected, huh.' She sighed inwardly.
"Greetings, senior." Senior Yu suddenly bowed to Tian Yi with clasped hands, shocking the soul out of everybody witnessing the scene. "Thank you for saving Yu Bing's life. If it weren't for you, she would've died long ago."
Yu Bing also bowed to him. "Thank you, Senior Shuyi."
Tian Yi's eyebrow lifted at their humbleness; it felt weird being called a 'senior' despite being the younger one.
Shaking his head, he then said, "If I see somebody in need of help, I will obviously help that person. There is no need to thank me. I was merely doing what my heart told me."
His words made Senior Yu feel nothing but admiration towards him. For an expert like him whose cultivation was so high that even she cannot see to be so humble, there are not many, if any, people with characters like him out there.
The conversation between Tian Yi and Senior Yu brought endless shock to the Sect Masters. They finally understood what was happening and why they are unable to see his cultivation.
'C-Could he be…' Doubt started growing in their hearts.
They were now nervous, afraid even.
The hidden shadow that was behind the clouds suddenly seemed much smaller with a human form.
'He had said that he was the one who taught her cultivation…'
The three Sect Masters tried hard to suppress it, but alas, they started trembling in the end.
To think they'd make the same mistake as the one they literally just laughed about moments ago... how foolish they seem as of this moment.
Although they were only doubtful, that doubt was more than enough to fill their minds with fear.
What if this young man was really the 'mysterious senior'? What if he's offended by their approach? What if they end up like that Long Chen?
And to think they were just talking about how there are Heavens beyond the Heavens— none of them expected that they would meet this other Heaven so quickly and unexpectedly!
The three Sect Masters lowered their heads, not daring to look at Tian Yi any longer. They were too afraid to even apologize to him for their arrogant approach!
As Sect Masters of the Four Ancient Lands with a Sovereign Realm cultivation base, they were naturally arrogant and prideful. To meet someone on par with them was as difficult as looking for Qilin horns and Phoenix Feathers, let alone someone above them.
And to the crowd that was watching, the majority of them had no idea what was going on. Why did the three Sect Master seem so small all of sudden when they stood so tall just moments ago? Just who is this young man that even the Ancestor of the Azure Phoenix Sect did not mind lowering her head to?
"As for these three idiots behind me… please ignore them and what they have said. I will make sure that none of them would be bothering you from this day forth— even if I have to forcefully wake their Ancestors from their secluded meditation," said Yu Weng, wanting to ease whatever negativity he had towards them.
Tian Yi nodded at her words, and Senior Yu sighed in relief inwardly, feeling as though she had narrowed dodged a sword attack.
Although she didn't care about the other two Sect Masters and their Sects, if her Azure Phoenix Sect had offended him, then that would have been disastrous.
Tian Yi said his goodbyes and took Meng Xiang away to get food soon later, and Yu Bing silently watched them leave.
After their shadows disappeared from their views, Senior Yu turned back and slapped Yu Weng on the top of her head in public, dumbfounding everybody there.
"Get your ass back to the Sect at this moment and reflect on yourself! I will take your place and represent the Azure Phoenix Sect for the competition!" she then turned to look at the Lu She and the Sect Master of the Heavenly Tiger Sect. "I just helped prevent your Sect from destruction! I better see something nice on my doorstep when I return!" she snorted with contempt before leaving with Yu Bing, leaving the three Sect Masters of the Four Ancient Lands standing there looking like children who just got reprimanded by their parents.
Their faces were red with embarrassment, but none of them dared to talk back to Senior Yu whose cultivation base was the second highest amongst all four Ancestors of the Four Ancient Sect, being only below the Ancient Dragon Sect Ancestor.
Additionally, all the words she spoke were of the truth. If that young man was really that mysterious senior, then their Sects would have truly been in deep trouble.
'My eyes have been reopened today…' Yu Weng sighed inwardly before departing from the Soaring Sun City. 'I have forgotten what I once felt from the time before I was a Sect Master…'
