A theory said the Seven Sages were demon kings attempted to usurp the supremacy of Shangdi (1).

The six Monster Kings followed her gathered to rescued the Great Sage Equals to Heaven, who was arrested for crime of disturbing the Court of Shangdi.
Although they were not connected by blood, the seven sworn brothers and sisters were connected by the oath from the cup they held.
The seven flags which painted the great Heaven are the seven flags those great warriors raised.
Yet, even though the Monster Kings were beings of immeasurable power, they were also unimaginably tiny before those against them.
Those stood before them would never allow the seven flags to flutter so smoothly.

“But I believe a normal Kouryuu-sama would rather enjoy refinement for enough amount of time even in a tea ceremony or a banquet. Don’t you think it is sad for the side pouring the cup for a guest who made such an unpleasant face for the alcohol to lose its taste?”

Kouryuu responded by letting out a forced smile and shrugging his shoulders. Kouryuu normally would rather prefer to enjoy a talkative exchange, but he doesn’t the mood for that today.
