Chapter 1708: Old foe
Ximen Li started to be nervous after hearing that the one behind the scenes had come. This showed that they had captured enough women and were going to take some action.
She was not sure if there would be any unforeseen changes.
“Don’t worry, nothing will happen.” Si Yue comforted her.
“Mm.” Ximen Li tried to calm herself down but she couldn’t but tremble when she saw the others. She had hatred and anger in her eyes.
Si Yue glanced towards the entrance of the courtyard curiously after she saw her change. Other than the men, there was one lady that she hadn’t seen before.
“Do you know that lady wearing the mourning garments?” She asked.
Ximen Li clenched her fist and said through her gritted teeth, “I know her. I’d recognise her even if she turned to ashes!”
“Eh, seeing you act like this, you must have deep hatred for her!” Si Yue became curious, “Here, tell me, what happened? She looks like a fake holy and pure person, did she steal your crush?”
Ximen Li glared at her, “She destroyed my whole clan.”
Si Yue blanked for a second and came back to her senses, “Really! This is worse than stealing a crush. How did she destroy your whole clan? Do you want me to seek revenge for you?”
Ximen Li turned away and went back into the house before Zong Zheng Han Yue noticed her, as she couldn’t fight Zong Zheng Han Yue directly since Little Dough wasn’t awake yet and her poison had not been removed.
Zong Zheng Han Yue turned around as she sensed hatred but could only see Si Yue’s and another girl’s back view.
Seeing her back view, a trace of doubt flashed past her eyes.
“Check the goods.”
Zong Zheng Han Yue casually took a look at the girls and realised that the goods were good.
“Holy Daughter, Your honor, these girls are picked at your request.” A guy said, “A total of eight hundred and eighty eight people.”
Zong Zheng Han Yue nodded, “You did well, the higher ups will definitely reward you.”
She threw a jade bottle to him as she spoke and that guy accepted it contentedly after he saw what was inside the bottle, “Holy Daughter, Your Honor, should I send them to the usual place?”
“Mm.” Zong Zheng Han Yue nodded, “I don’t have to tell you what to do since this isn’t the first time, right?”
“No need! I remember!” That guy said eagerly.
“That’s good. You’ll lose your life if you make even a small mistake.” Zong Zheng Han Yue went back to the courtyard. She was prepared to leave when she saw the same back view and decided to walk towards Ximen Li’s room.
Although Ximen Li went back to her room, she continued to pay close attention to the situation. She saw Zong Zheng Han Yue leaving, but she heard footsteps before she could loosen up.
Her heart raced as fast as the footsteps.
The door was opened as she turned around in shock, Zong Zheng Han Yue smiled arrogantly when she saw her, “It’s you, Xi. Men. Li.”
Ximen Li was calm when she was found out.
“Zong Zheng Han Yue.”
“Holy Daughter, Your Honor, you know her?” That guy followed and asked carefully.
Did he catch Holy Daughter Your Honor’s friend? It better not be.
Zong Zheng Han Yue smiled and said, “I know her, Young Miss of the Ximen Clan, she was my best friend’s Little Sister, how can I not know her.”
The guy muttered worriedly, could it really be….
“Zong Zheng Han Yue, you killed my clan. You don’t deserve to be my Elder Sister’s friend! You and us, this matter won’t rest unless one of us is dead!” Ximen Li knew that they were beyond reconciliation so she wouldn’t accept a compromise as well.
“True, your Elder Sister and Elder Brother sent people to exterminate my clan, we’re indeed beyond reconciliation. But you guys will die as a result.”
The guy sighed in relief after hearing that. Everything was good as long as they weren’t friends.
“Holy Daughter, Your Honor, what should I do with this Lady? Should I send her over too?”
“Send? Of course, but let me lure Sima You Yue here first. I thought she’s the most concerned about her close family? I want to kill the people she cares about the most one by one before her. I want her to feel despair once again.” Zong Zheng Han Yue sneered as she spoke.
“You can’t match my Elder Sister! You’ll always be beneath my Elder Sister for your whole life and live in her shadows forever, don’t even think of surpassing her!”

Zong Zheng Han Yue slapped Ximen Li’s face, and her face turned red immediately that tore the corner of her lips with blood tracing down her.
“Li’er!” Si Yue ran in and held Ximen Li up.
She didn’t expect that Zong Zheng Han Yue would slap her, as she didn’t have spiritual power. Ximen Li was already slapped when she came back to her senses.
“How are you, are you alright?” She said apologetically. Previously, she said she would protect her, but now she got slapped.
“Elder Sister Si Yue, I’m fine.” Ximen Li wiped the blood away and looked at Zong Zheng Han Yue, “What’s the point of hitting me? Do you think you can change the fact after you hit me? It doesn’t matter whether it’s in the past or now, your fate and power can’t match up to my Elder Sister!”
Zong Zheng Han Yue was aggravated and wanted to slap her again but her hands were stopped in mid air.
“How dare you bully Li’er even when you saw that I’m here. Do you think I’m blind!” Si Yue gripped her arm and didn’t let come close to Ximen Li.
Zong Zheng Han Yue felt something was wrong with Si Yue so she materialised spiritual energy in her other hand, Si Yue blocked with her hands and let go of her right hand at the same time as she slapped Zong Zheng Han Yue in her face.
Her spiritual energy slapped Zong Zheng Han Yue and she was flung away.
Zong Zheng Han Yue adjusted her body before she landed so she wouldn’t fall with her flat on her back.
“Your skin is really thick, even my hands ache from slapping you.” Si Yue blew her palm as if it was really painful.
Zong Zheng Han Yue looked at Si Yue, “Your spiritual energy isn’t sealed!”
“Tsk, your poison can’t seal Elder Sister’s spiritual energy.” Si Yue said disdainfully.
Zong Zheng Han Yue glared at the guy, how could he not know when someone’s spiritual energy wasn’t sealed.
“Holy Daughter, Your Honor please calm down, she didn’t use spiritual energy after she came in, so we wouldn’t have known that her spiritual spirit wasn’t sealed!” The guy explained.
“You stayed here for so long even when it wasn’t sealed. Who are you, what’s your motive?” Zong Zheng Han Yue didn’t put it to heart even though she was angry.
Even if her spiritual energy wasn’t sealed, what was she going to be able to do with so many guards around?!
“Get her.” She waved as the guy came attacking towards them but was flung outside by Si Yue’s slap.
The commotion here attracted people from the outside. Those guards ran over and surrounded Si Yue and Ximen Li.
