"I don't know. This is the Huangquan Road where live many kinds of monsters, and it's maybe one of them! But don't worry, I will protect you well!" He patted at her shoulder, comforting.
They walked side by side forward very fast, intending to get out of the forest as soon as possible. But the sound was getting louder and the unpleasant smell denser, as they moved. He frowned, "We seem to be closer and closer to this monster!"
"Really? Then what should we do? And What is it exactly?" She got feared.
Her questions forced he to worry about the unknown thing as well.
At this time, a fiery red suddenly incarnadined the east of the Huangquan Road, and a dazzling light was rising from the distant horizon, illuminating the entire road.
"The sunrise!" She blurted out with ecstasy, "The dark night finally passed!"

He nodded and replied, "Yes, you are right! The Jiuquan Spring is near the Baoshan Mountain, but I don't know its exact location either."

But all of a sudden, a loud and gloomy voice came from the fog, like the scream of the small ghosts, "Do you two humans want to go to the Baodu Mountain? Don't dream! You will both be my preys today!"
This abrupt sound shocked them who had been immersed in the gladness of the sunrise and forgotten the terrible monster around them. He immediately took out his stone sword, ready to start a fierce fight.
