Chapter 16: Battle in the thick fog Part 3
My remaining Crossbow squad was wiped out during our war by the elf, leaving me with only 1000 TP remaining .
In the end, the only person in the crossbow squad who was able to inflict damage to the elf was the old man . The other three were completely useless . It seems like I'll need to train them afterward .
While looking at the map, I have been avoiding the elf within the 500-meter radius . This has caused me to use my TP wastefully .
I have to think of a countermeasure . . . Perhaps creating the hero would be useful? however, he will only be a fake and will also probably get destroyed easily by the elf's magic .
Just what am I supposed to do . . .
While looking at the map I run away from the elf, who was approaching rather steadily . Since she was getting close pretty quickly, I decided to create a duplicate of a reverse mermaid on the opposite side of me in her 500-meter radius . By doing so, I was hoping she would fall for the bait and go for the reverse mermaid, saving me TP .
While observing the elf, I also learned that the elf can only use her magic skill once every 3 minutes . Since that is the rate she was using the skill, I assumed her magic skill has a cooldown of 3 minutes .
After learning this I decided to come up with a plan to get the hero close to the elf . I would wait for the cooldown period of her detection skill and move the hero towards the elf .
What is important for this plan to work is the Elf to recognize that the duplicate is the hero so he can deceive the elf into giving the hero all her potions to the hero .
First I'll need to look for a place to spawn the hero . the current area I am looking at has a bad foothold and doesn't seem like a good area for the hero to start running from . A different area I was looking at seemed like the ideal spot to spawn the hero . It was relatively flat and was also subtle enough to spawn the hero .
I spawned the hero right after the cooldown started for the elf and started to run toward the elf .
The elf started activating her magic and the ripples started to appear . . . and then the ripples started to disappear .
using this opportunity, I started running the hero towards the elf .
The hero runs in a straight line towards the elf .
As expected of the hero! he was able to traverse 100 meters in 30 seconds with that heavy plate armor equipped .
-----is what I thought but the hero seems to have stopped moving after walking 250 meters . What the hell is going on?

How am I supposed to save the hero
Should I withdraw the hero? . . . . no that is futile, the hero will still be in the search area and get killed instantly .
Calling out her name with a loud yell? it might work but she may get startled and kill him instead
Give up on eating her and kill her normally? . . . I guess this is the only option, while I really wanted to add her to my list, it seems like to survive, I'll have to pass on eating her and focus on just killing her normally .

still, I can't feel relieved, I decided to shrink myself using contraction and head towards the hero .
< I arrived at the place where the hero was, It seems like the idiot got trapped in a large tree root . . . well I'm also to blame, the map doesn't show the area with many details so it is really hard to grasp how tall the area is . . . My decision to make him run in a straight line was a poor one . I made the hero walk towards the hero like it was a coincidence . (Elf[Sarah]): "Alan . . . Just where did you disappear to!"
