Deeny accompanied Su Yang to the living room. She tiptoed and whispered in his ears, “Master, I’ll forever be by your side.” She stuck her tongue out playfully before she hopped to the little stand at the corner.
The flying rabbit flew above her head for a moment before landing in her arms.
Su Yang looked around. Deeny, Pool, Sanque, and Little Lady Knife filled the stools at two sides. They were obviously there to make up the numbers.
In the center was Little Hus, the monster bean’s representative and…Gru?
‘Is Gru one of the leaders?’
Before Su Yang could express his surprise, Little Hus stood on the stool and shouted, “Take Su Yang down! Give us back our justice! Su Yang, take a seat and be ready to accept your condemnation!”
Su Yang cleared his throat and sat on the couch. Then, the ‘condemnation conference’ officially started.
Since Su Yang was being cooperative, Little Hus stepped out and started the whole rant.
“Su Yang! You’ve been extremely shameless lately! You’ve already given us the things, yet you are shameless enough to take them back! Are you still human? Aside from my book, you even robbed Gru of his table! Can you be more inhuman?!”
Before he could finish, Gru stood up with a little table. Su Yang had spent 30 yuan on Taobao for the replacement table.
Gru looked sad with the table in its hands. “Gru, Gru! Gru Gru!” It even shed tears!
‘What? They are both tables, so what’s the difference? And…Gru, even though you got a second point, I still don’t know what you are talking about.”
After Gru was done, the little monster bean’s representative stood up boldly and cleared its throat, ready to condemn Su Yang for his acts.
Su Yang saw the number on its scarf: No. 17. ‘You again? No. 17! You!’
No. 17 used its body language to condemn whatever Su Yang had done. Even though no one understood what it said, it conveyed its message with its strong body language.
It even performed a monodrama, playing both itself and Su Yang. It showed how Su Yang violently caught it and buried it alive in the soil. It then crawled out with all its effort just to be kicked away by Su Yang.
The way it portrayed the fall was Oscar-worthy.
‘My, my, look at you. Are you the new best actor of the year?’
Su Yang believed he could add No. 17 to the ‘Monster Family’ series soon.
After that, the little monster bean went back to its seat.
Little Hus looked around, but no one else wanted to stand up. He barked at the others, “Hurry up! Go up and tell everyone your stories!”
Pool smiled gently, his thin long eyes a sign of how happy he was. He shook his head and said, “I have nothing against Lord Su Yang.”
Sanque was in the pot, playing dead with its eyes closed.
Little Lady Knife was enthusiastic though. She ‘looked’ around and asked, “Brother Hus, what are you guys doing? Why are you guys bullying Brother Su Yang?”
Deeny showed a flattering smile and said, “Master, I’m just here to fill the numbers. I have nothing against you either.”
Little Hus glared at her. “You useless suckup!”
Deeny grimaced at him.
Since no one had anything else to say, Su Yang cleared his throat and decided to step in. “Well, if you guys are finished, I have something to say as well.” He stood up and carried the sobbing Gru into his arms as he consoled, “Gru, come on, cheer up.”
Gru cried out loud upon hearing Su Yang’s words. It seemed like losing the little table really hurt his heart.
Su Yang sighed. He stroked Gru’s head and said, “I’m sorry, okay? It was urgent back then, and I’m sorry I didn’t tell you about it. Besides, didn’t I buy you a new one?”
Gru looked up at Su Yang with its big teary eyes. “Gru, Gru…”
Su Yang looked at Sanque who said, “He says he wanted the first little table because it was the first present you gave it.”
Su Yang caressed Gru’s head and said, “Gru, we will be together for a long time, and you will get more than one present. I’ll buy you a set of clothes next week. How about that?”
Gru listened and thought for a while. He nodded firmly and finally smiled.
Su Yang smiled as he caressed Gru’s head. He then put the little guy down. Then, he looked at Little Hus and No. 17 with a grin.
“Little Hus, I gave the rabbit and the table to Deeny and Gru but…I don’t think I gave you the book, did I? You stole the book from me!”
The husky on the bolster was shocked. “Is that so?!”
The grin on Su Yang’s face grew wider.
Five minutes later, he pressed the start button of the washing machine, and Little Hus and No. 17 were crying and screaming in the spinning cylinder.
“Su Yang! You devil!” Little Hus screamed with all his might.
Su Yang did not bother to explain to No. 17 because monster beans had no human rights!
After he came out from the bathroom, Su Yang saw the rest of the little monster beans tearing down the banner and the pictures on the wall, and rearranging the couch and stools.
They worked hard to clean up the place, and the house would always be clean with them around, but there was also a downside to it. They would have to clean the remains of their friends every once in a while.
‘Hmm, speaking of monster beans, No. 17 doesn’t seem to explode even when he’s angry, and I feel like he’s been living a carefree life. His personality seems different from the other beans as well. Did something change?’

Deeny was humming a melody in her room while playing dress-up with the winged rabbit. She tied a bow on the rabbit’s ear and drew some floral patterns on the rabbit’s wings with a glittery eyeshadow.
Curious, Su Yang asked, “Where did you get the makeup?”
Only then did Deeny notice Su Yang’s presence. She said with a smile, “I bought them. Master, you are always not around, so whenever I need something, I’ll order it online and have them sent to Pool’s shop. He will then bring the things back to me at night.”
Su Yang nodded. ‘Hmm, that’s convenient.’
She added two more strokes on the wing before she suddenly realized something and picked the rabbit up in her hands. Terrified, she looked at Su Yang and said, “Master! Are you here to take my rabbit away?!” Her eyes started to tear up all of a sudden.
‘Wait, what? Am I a villain in this house? Is that what they think of me?’
He cleared his throat and said, “No, why would I take your rabbit from you?”
Deeny was on the brink of breaking down in tears. “Maybe…maybe you need a rabbit for your next prescription.”
“No! Don’t worry! I won’t use your rabbit!” Su Yang had to cheer her up for a full five minutes to convince her that he would not ‘sacrifice’ the rabbit. However, as he cheered Deeny up, he was also thinking about the question.
‘Deeny is right. I don’t have any other +1 items anymore. If I don’t sacrifice the +1 rabbit next week, what am I supposed to offer?’
