I am placing the daughters + brother here for me honestly but also a reminder, I guess.
Nishi Yotsutsuji daughters.
The first daughter is Asahi (朝日)(Morning sun)(Friendly Athletic,Ponytail
The second daughter is Mahiru (真昼)(Midday)(Independent,Shoulder length bob haircut)
Third daughter named Yuudachi(夕立)(Evening Shower)(Long Hair)
The fourth daughter is Yoru.(夜留)(Night)(Aloof, Shoulder length bangs waved.)
The older brother Souji.(奏時) Btw she is always using (私) from now on.
I don't even know why I keep these still here.I know them by heart now I am sure you do too.But whatever.It feels empty without it. Do people even read this?

"Oh, You four got haircuts"
"Yup,and all of them are different."
"Isn't Yuu-chan's the same?"
"True,but now you can tell us apart."
Now with summer vacation over, the hot topic with the second years is our hair cuts.
Well, we were so alike that nobody even noticed when we switched.So I think that being able easily tell us apart now is a good thing.
The gossip lasted for an entire month.It was embarrassing for all of us being the topic of the gossip. I didn't know if I could endure it much longer.
Luckily I wouldn't need to.
The Athletic Meeting is an annual event occurring in autumn.And since its quickly approaching and it’s only once a year.The gossip quickly switched from us to the Athletic Meeting .(運動会)(TN:is there a better word for this?)
We are currently in our class room, around the homeroom time.
Usually it would be the time to have a lecture or group up but today we are deciding participation in the athletic events.
"- – – -Well then the ball tossing event will have 10 people added to it. I'll entrust you guys with that.”
The main question on deciding teams is settled.With the team for the ball tossing decided it moved on to deciding the teams for the 50 meter and then the relay race.
"- – – Now who will participate in the 50 meter race?"
Here it comes.
I slowly raised my hand.
Well the 50 meter race is the easiest thing to do in the athletic event.
Because it goes without saying that it is just running for 50 meters.The the running only takes like 10 seconds.In other words it’s only hard work for less than 10 seconds.Could you ask for a more comfortable event?So of course I won't hesitate.
Although if you are a slow runner it would be embarrassing to participate.One of the few down sides.
I knew that before in my previous life so I always avoided the fifty meter run.However in this life I am quick so I'll just run with my full strength.
I participated in it last year as well cause of these reasons.
"Objection!"
Until a voice was raised.
It was Mahiru who spoke up.She then pulled her chair to the side lightly and turned to me with a smile.
"Hey,Yuu-chan didn't you say last year that we would run together? So wouldn't it be better to do the relay race?"
"Well no, that. . . ."
The relay race is 100 meters.It's double the 50 meter.The fatigue is more than doubled . . . Yeah. . I don't want to.
"W-Well don't you need to check in with Asahi and Yoru before yo-"
"It's fine I already talked with Asahi and Yoru so let's try our best! Yuu-chan!"
"Uh. . Yea. . ."
I thought that they didn't want to attach them self with me.They even got haircuts.Why is it now. . .(必死の一手も読まれていたようで、間髪いれずこの有り様である。これに頷く以外何を返せばいいと言うのか。)(TN:just making sure)
But I don't think I can go against them.
"Okay. So Mahiru and Yuudachi will be a team together.They are both fast so it will be a strong team."
"Well if it’s those two."
The conversation turned to talking about us.
"Well then,Both the Nishi Yotsutsuji daughters will participate in the relay race for us.Please do your best."
"We will!"
". . .Y-yea."
It seems like it was decided that I would take part in the relay race.
Aaah,this will be painful.
I laid my face down on the desk in defeat.

I am a bad child.
I often feel that especially recently.
"In order to immediately stop relying on her."
That’s what I told Asahi and Yoru when I convinced them to get hair cuts.
No it wasn't for that reason alone though.
That was merely an excuse.
I just didn't want to see them depend on Yuu-chan anymore.
Because I didn't want to complain to Yuu-chan cause of that I didn't have a reason to rely on her.I didn't like seeing them do.
Because I didn't want to show such a scene.
It was merely for that selfish reason.
I was just jealous that they all relied on my her other than me.( わたしは、妹ながらにわたし以上に頼られている、夕ちゃんに嫉妬していたのです。)(TN:making sure.)
I am a bad child.
But.
I looked over to Yuu-chan who suddenly looked up from laying her head on the desk.
Yuu-chan is a good child.
Even if I complained to her about this and my selfishness I am sure Yuu-chan would help me with a smile.
But that would be bad.
I know that it may be pointless but I want to still stand next to her.
I want to be relied on like an older sister.
That's why I don't want to rely on Yuu-chan.
Because I feel like it would be the end to that wish if I rely on her.
I have to be able to do it by myself.

Hiya,Sorry for the delay.I got distracted.This chapter isn’t that long but it is nice to see a Mahiru update. I like all of the sisters individual personality. I like for the most part they aren’t all identical.Though there is much less information about Asahi and Yoru but there are indirect hints.
Uhh, next chapter in probably 2-4 days.Hopefully I focus more on this and get less distracted.It’s such a short chapter too,Sorry. . . Also as of the time I release this its pretty late in the day so sorry for the late update.I just wanted to release it before it hit that 4 day marker.
