The Hero was Really a Great Hero (Part 1)
While we were astonished by how lame the Demon Lord advanced towards the Human Race, Lilia-san continued while pointing at the dark mark at the leftmost bottom of the map with a somewhat solemn expression.
“It would have been nothing in the face of the Spirit World where there are absolute beings such as the Six Kings, but the Magical Races that suddenly appeared in the Human World at that time were a tremendous threat. The Demon Lord Army quickly conquered the surrounding kingdoms and the Demon Lord, in its name, declared war against the Human Race. That was the start of the long war between the Human Race and the Demon Lord Army.”
“By the way, the venerable Void King apologized deeply during the friendship treaty on that matter at that time, saying ‘I should’ve taken care of it myself at that time’. To make the kind and merciful venerable Void King bow her head, doing such a selfish action……that Demon Lord really can’t be forgiven for its action even after a thousand years.”
“U-Uhmm, Lunamaria-san?”
Lunamaria-san who supplemented Lilia-san explanation was somewhat……she made an expression that shows her disgust and aversion, and it scared me quite a bit.

One mustn’t talk about the Void King with Lunamaria-san. Alright, I now remember that. Lunamaria-san’s eyes at that time were really so terrifying. She’s like, so high. It feels like fanatic really fits the word to describe it.
Really, Lilia-san must be having a hard time with her……
“Oh, excuse us. I should continue. About the Demon Lord Army invading the Human World……actually, the venerable Six Kings felt troubled on what to do about it.”

I did not understand Lilia-san’s words immediately. After all, as far as I have heard from her earlier, the Six Kings should have the strength to take care of the Demon Lord Army in an instant. To make them feel troubled about that……wait a second. There’s something bothering me. Why is the existence called Hero needed, when the Six Kings exist?

It looks like Kusunoki-san understood what Lilia-san was saying, but Yuzuki-san and I are still clueless. It should’ve ended with the Six Kings taking care of the Demon Lord Army, but from how Lilia-san spoke, it looks like there’s some kind of reason that makes them unable to do that.
Kusunoki-san explained after looking at Yuzuki-san after hearing her doubts.
“At that time, the Spirit World had a non-interference decision towards the Human World. It means……connections that would allow them to negotiate and claim ‘we do not have ill intents’ does not exist between the Spirit World and the Human World.”
“A-Ahh! It was like that!”
“It looks like Miyama-san has noticed it as well. I believe that your thoughts are not mistaken. Although the Magical Races knows the existence of the Human Race, most of them have never seen them……flipping that, that means its the same with the Human Race. For the Human Race at that time, the Magical Races is equal to the Demon Lord Army.”
That’s right. I finally understood the part that was bothering me. Although the Six Kings have the power the defeat the Demon Lord, there was no way for them to negotiate with the Human Race that they do not have ill intents after defeating the Demon Lord.
If the Six Kings instantly defeat the Demon Lord Army at that time, what the Human Race would think? The answer is simple. They would think that Magical Races that are far more powerful than the Demon Lord is invading.
“ーーthe attack of a threat surpassing the Demon Lord. The Human Race would have desperately taken their swords in arms. If that happens, the matter will not end with just the Demon Lord invading the Human World. It will be a total war between the Spirit World and the Human World……no, if the venerable Six Kings, the apex of the Spirit World have participated, the Celestial World who have the stance of being a spectator would start to take action. At worst, a Great War that involves all three worlds might happen. That is why, the venerable Six Kings could not take action against the Demon Lord.”
Lilia-san continued Kusunoki-san’s explanation with a heavy tone. That’s right. The Six Kings must’ve hated that to happen. It was fine if it is only the Human World. At worst, the Six Kings could’ve had a cruel decision on using force as a measure, in order to not let the warfare reach the Spirit World.
However, if the Celestial World started to take action, it will not end with just that. At the ancient times, there was a great war between the Spirit World and the Celestial World. If that legend is true, then the Spirit World and the Celestial World have at least strength to contend against each other. If that happens, the flames of war would eventually reach the Spirit World, and the Six Kings wanted to avoid that.
“A great war that involves all three worlds. That was something that must be avoided……also, an existence of hope, an existence who could defeat the Demon Lord, someone from the weakest of the worlds, the Human World, who could carry all of their hope was needed. A Hero who is able to sit in the table of negotiations with the Spirit World……”
“That is……the First Hero……”
“Exactly. There are various theories about the summoning of the First Hero. Some say that the Creator God has given the Human Race the Summoning Magic Circle in the form of an oracle, after being apprehensive about the great war. Some say that the venerable Six Kings have secretly asked helped from the Celestial World. And some say that the Magic Circle was something akin from a legend from the ancient times, existing in the Human World although no one knew about its use……because of the chaos in the Human World at that time, there is no clear record about it, but the fact was, the Hero Summoning was done in the Symphonia Kingdom.”
And there, the First Hero appears. Uhh, I wonder what kind of person the First Hero is? Although there’s no doubt that he came from the same world as us, it’s unknown whether he’s male or female, or if he’s even Japanese……
