It was a calm night with the dead branches of a tree rattling together as a cold wind blew on. A full moon glowed brightly in the sky, faintly illuminating the stone pathway ahead when clouds floated past in front of the moon, the pathway flickered in and out of view. A Cypress tree overhung the crumbling stone pathway as it meandered its way to a dark castle. The eerie scene seemed to be mysterious, yet dangerous at the same time.

While the scene may have seemed scary to some, there was no need for concern, because the one observing this was none other than Sia!

“Miss Exorcist, the castle in front of us is the gathering place of the vampires. Thank you for helping us, but I really can't go any farther!”

A farmer in a red shirt and blue suspenders wearing a straw hat explained, pointing at the castle while shaking and cowering.

Sia didn't say anything as she walked along, looking at the castle with her hands behind her back. After surveying the situation, she waved her right hand, motioning for him to leave. The farmer, feeling as if he had been given a reprieve from a death sentence, quickly fled the area

Actually, Sia had already done a rough sweep of the castles’ interior with her powers. She was somewhat surprised that the 600-acre castle, which could easily house a couple of thousand people, contained approximately 200 vampires. According to the ranking system Sia used in her own world, these 200 vampires were the lowest ranked, the weakest ones. Such weak vampires occupy such a large castle?

“This must be a joke.” (Sia)

She muttered to herself while looking at the castle in the distance. She opened her wings and with a light jump into the air, flew in the direction of the castle. As she flew toward the castle, the vampires inside began to panic.

“She’s a true ancestor! What shall we do now?!”

The man who spoke was correct, but what he should have been doing now was holding his thighs to stop them from shaking.

Suddenly, everyone in the castle felt an immense pressure. The pressure originated from the blood and all the vampires held their hands over their hearts and cowered in abject terror. Sia’s presence grew stronger as she slowly closes the distance. Although her pace may have been  slow, none could escape.

Who, amongst the castle's 200 vampires could possibly cause all of them to freeze just by their presence alone?

“No, there is no way. We are too far below her existence.” [Haa]

The patriarch of the castle bowed his head and sighed heavily. The handsome blond man, who normally acted as if he were a mighty lion, was paralyzed in his chair, unable to do anything.

He was the highest ranked and most pure vampire in the castle. Among vampires, ones blood determined their combat power, growth rate, and of course, their social status. In short, their bloodline determined the whole existence of a vampire. On the other hand, the higher ranked a vampire was, the easier it was for others to perceive their ancestry and the differences in strength between them.

There were seven elders in the castle as well, who shared the same perception as the patriarch, so they were fully aware of just how untenable the situation was. Putting it bluntly, all the senior officials in the castle were waiting to die.

Closer and closer, the oppressive feeling of danger came nearer to the castle.

[Kreeeeee]

The door from the balcony slowly creaked open. Instantly, everyone in the hall held their breath while staring fearfully at the door.

Little by little to door slowly opened and finally, appearing before the terrified eyes of the vampires…

A cute blonde loli?

So, so cute!

The first thought that flashed through the patriarch of the castle’s mind was neither negotiation, nor compromise, nor begging for mercy, but was instead ‘a beautiful blonde-haired loli?’

What kind of a leader was this?

“Are you the owner of this castle?” (Sia)

She said while looking at her surroundings and then turned her attention to the castle leader leaning against stone chair at the apex of the stairs.

“Uh… umm… noble lady... uh…” (Patriarch)

“Come down from there.  I... Who gave you permission to look at me?! On your knees!” (Sia)

Sia shouted as she looked at the patriarch. The geas field of a true ancestor immediately suppressed everyone in the hall. The patriarch then fell, rolling down the stairs and spit out a mouth full of blood as he lay at the bottom, while everyone else in the hall knelt on the floor with their heads bowed.

As expected, her subjugation of the castle did not suffer any hindrance.

“Why do you even have the poor farmers in the next village? Not even the livestock? Why are you doing so poorly?! Are you not of the noble vampiric species?” (Sia)

The audience was speechless while being suppressed by her geas field.

“We... have been also forced to...” [Cough] (Patriarch)

The patriarch started to say, who was still laying on the floor, then coughed up blood as he tried to pick himself up. This, of course, was a fruitless endeavor.

“We don't want to be like this! A century ago, the human population began to gather rather inexplicably in large cities. The descendants of the original inhabitants in the surrounding small towns have all moved, so the population remaining in the villages and towns are slowly decreasing.” (Patriarch)

Wait. He was talking about urbanization. What the hell? While she was thinking, she lowered her geas, trying to suppress her own doubts.

“What happened to the blood clan, such a big castle has dwindled to less than 250 people, is it the people of the church?” (Sia)

“What church? Elder sister, you’ve read too many light novels!” (Patriarch)

“???” (Sia)

“???” (Patriarch)

“What?” (Sia)
