‘The energy on Earth is really beginning to change. This thing that God gave me is really useful.’

Standing on the roof of a skyscraper in the moonlight, a lovely girl in an ornate, white dress looked into a amethyst-colored crystal ball.

No, you're not mistaken, it was the roof.

This was exactly what God told me: “Oh, this thing? As long as you wear this, the energy density in the surrounding area will continue to grow.”

‘If this pace continues, it won't be long before this will become a world where science, technology, and magic coexist.’ She thought to herself, her face alight with joy, as she pictured God.

Honestly, people had always been plagued by the immorality in the world. Not to mention, the fact most of them are atheists. Her assignment on this planet didn’t limit her ability to perform miracles which could affect the natural development of the planet, but frankly, the planet was far too fragile for her overwhelming power. Admittedly, the hundreds of seals, which were used to restrain her power, were quite uncomfortable. @Girdle

It had been extremely hard to for her endure this for so long! The evolution of Earth was crucial!

Umm... In fact, she had always wondered why she must climb to the roof.

“Hey, Hitomi. Where are we? It's so dark here.” Sia asked while she looked around awkwardly and Hitomi had an arm wrapped around her. Just kidding! Why would a vampire be afraid of the dark? Seriously though, Sia’s expression was very confused.

“Here? This is an internet café.” I told Sia while sitting in a dark corner, booting up two computers. She removed a small blue card from a pocket of her short black dress. Hitomi then began to type in the number printed on the card.

Sia lightly rubbed her temples and asked, “I know this is an internet café, the sign said as much, but what’s an internet café?”

“Oh My God Sia! I didn’t know you could read Chinese!” (Hitomi)

“……” (Sia)

“I never said I couldn’t. Umm… I'm going to touch this thing, right?” Sia said pointing her finger at the keyboard. “This thing is dirty. I don’t want to touch it.” She continued, frowning with disgust at the keyboard in front of her.

It was dirty? I turned to look at the keyboard in front of her and then looked at the one in front me. They looked clean to me.

“Sia, are you a neat freak?” I asked after staring at the keyboard for a while.

“Who’s a neat freak? It is very dirty!” (Sia)

She stared at me, looking a little irritated and then said, “As a girl, it should be clear to you it isn’t clean! You’re a girl, aren’t you? There’s a door with a sign forbidding entry to minors. Looking at the two of us, even if we try to say we’re adults, no one would believe us! Besides, we have to make our way out west.”

While Sia continued to whine and complain, Hitomi’s unintentional smile froze and then slowly dried up.

“I ... Did I do something wrong again?” (Hitomi)

“You tell me, what have you done, all this time! What else have you done, besides wandering around senselessly? Why do I, a good noble little sister, have to serve you like this?!” Sia impatiently said, and then threw herself across the couch to lay down while scratching her head.

Hitomi just bowed her head, as she couldn’t answer the accusations being thrown at her.

“Obviously, I can’t adjust my biological clock to adapt to your daily routine. This results in you dragging me around to do this nonsense, when I should actually be sleeping!” (Sia)

Hitomi, who had been staring at the floor blankly, gradually raised her head to look at this so very angry girl and had absolutely no idea what to say to her.

“Why are you looking at me like that? I’m tired of being used like a horse!” (Sia)

“Oh...” I said suddenly, interrupting Sia’s whining.

“Sia, I’ve been a burden. Your flight speed and search efficiency will drop if you don’t rest. You go to sleep; you can continue the search tomorrow. I don't want to waste your time by keeping you awake, I can play by myself.” (Hitomi)

Hitomi said without thinking, looking at the keyboard blankly.

“Did I get carried away?” (Hitomi)

Hitomi said to herself depressed. The computer screen started to flash, showing a dialog box with the account balance.

Clearly, I was still unable to get along with others. I stood up and walked toward the door.

Naturally, it was the back door.

Sia neither spoke up, nor did she follow, and Hitomi didn’t look back to see what her reaction might have been. She just quietly walked out the door with her long, silvery-white hair fluttering behind her, without disturbing anyone.

Outside, she looked around the unfamiliar area, feeling a little bit unprepared. Just then, she realized, Sia had been leading the way since the incident at the base.

Standing on the sidewalk, feeling forlorn and depressed, she watched people come and go around her; she started to notice people looking at her, some even taking pictures, making her very uncomfortable.

‘There are a lot of people here. I shouldn’t be in this place. Anywhere is fine, but I can’t stay here any longer.’

I thought to myself while I took out my phone and opened the navigation app.

I really wanted to go to the park. There shouldn’t be a lot of people there right now. I wanted to find a rock garden or bench and lay down. Maybe I wouldn’t feel so uncomfortable if I was alone.

Step-by-step, the map led me to my destination. I should have been near the park according to the map. I raised my head to look around, but there wasn’t a spot of open area to be found because in front of me is a huge crowd of people.

‘What? It's almost 10pm. Why are there so many people at the park?’

I asked myself, but I didn’t stop and walked on toward the middle of the park.

According to the map, there was an artificial lake at the center of the park. It had two roads which surrounded it, and several paths led across the water to a rock garden. My original goal was the rock garden in the middle of the lake, but I never expected there would be so many people here.

The lights were on in the park and it was quite noisy as well. Honestly, this was the first time I had ever seen so many people. Stepping into the park while hiding in the shadow of a stone gate, my small head stretched up to look toward the front of the crowd.

Today wasn’t a holiday and tomorrow was a work day, so why were there so many people here?
