Although the current generation had not experienced melanosis, just hearing the horrific retelling of its happening would be enough to send shivers down their spines. It spread quickly and was incurable. The infected would rot all over and eventually die in extreme pain and suffering.

“It was indeed closed. In fact, the majority of Hell’s Gate’s incident was just a simple vibration that caused a spatial fissure, after which it would close on its own,” Qin Baichuan explained, “Our guess is that it was related to the dimension and its ability to heal itself. The earthquake in East Capital almost reached a magnitude of 8.0, causing severe casualties and losses. It was the largest earthquake in the recent decades that shook the world. To think that it was actually caused by an energy surging out of Hell’s Gate. Just how strong would that surge of energy have to be?
Just some time ago, Ye Lingchen was feeling smug for his ability to destroy a house in a punch. That comparison right then had him feeling grossly inadequate.

However, for the waning strength to still be able to trigger earthquakes and tsunamis, how massive would the initial strength have to be? Ye Lingchen dared not imagine.
