Chapter 45 – Resolution
Chen Ruo Yu blushed and looked transfixed at Dr . Meng Gu standing by the door . Gao Yu Lan felt very embarrassed and was thinking about how to play down the situation when Dr . Meng Gu snorted then turned around and left .
Chen Ruo Yu lowered her head sadly and pinched the bedsheet tightly her fingers .
Yin Ze grinned as he limped into the room on his crutches and Gao Yu Lan asked . “Why are the two of you here?”
“I was worried you may encounter problems that you can’t settle regarding the hospital or something like that which Meng Gu is more familiar with . ”
But it was only that no one expected when they rushed over, they would walk directly into their conversation .
‘Cold ass’ is a wonderful description and Yin Ze decided it would be the new nickname for Dr . Meng Gu .
Chen Ruo Yu whispered . “Thank you to everyone, I’m fine . ”
Yin Ze casually looked for a chair to sit down and asked . “Have you contacted your family yet?”
Chen Ruo Yu shook her head . “I was thinking to call them as soon as I leave the hospital but didn’t expect they were coincidently looking for me these few days . ”
“Meng Gu said you were beaten up and was injured . Do you still have a problem with that matter?” Yin Ze asked directly to the point . Personal safety is very important and if this involves nasty people, it is better to find ways to resolve it .
“That matter is already settled . It was reported to the police and the company had dealt with it . ” Chen Ruo Yu was still feeling sad with her head bowed .
“What happened?”
“It’s now okay . It was only that one of my clients was injured in an accident and should have received insurance compensation but the person who hit him denied being in the wrong . Since there was no camera or traffic police so there was no conclusive evidence . If both statements were not the same then my client won’t be able to get compensation . He had to take care of his child and his life was already hard . Since he had spent money on buying insurance, I just can’t ignore him . ” She looked up at Gao Yu Lan, then lowered her head and whispered . “I can’t bear to see someone being wronged and I don’t want to hide . ”
When Gao Yu Lan heard, she felt sad as the matter did not affect only her . She reached out and held Chen Ruo Yu’s hand . “Don’t go too far following your heart . ”
Chen Ruo Yu shook her head and forced a smile . “Actually it was nothing but I have never handled such a big problem before . I didn’t expect those people to really hit me, that’s why I was beaten up . I didn’t dare to tell my family and then my family kept asking me about my job which frightened me, and then…… . . ” And then, it was the case of a hot face sticking to a cold ass……my heart was hurt .
Chen Ruo Yu stopped and did not say any more . After thinking for a while, she said . “To speak the truth, it was because I am not strong enough . My heart was not strong enough to endure the pressure and coupled with several matters piled up together, it was too difficult for me to bear . Just at that time, I fell sick and was hospitalized . Therefore, I thought of changing my cell phone number to have some quiet time to myself and didn’t think my actions would alarm everyone . I’m truly sorry . ”
Yin Ze thought for a while then looked at Gao Yu Lan and said . “Well, if you still have trouble with those people, let us know . All of us are friends and if we can help, we will definitely help you . ”
“If you want to look for someone to talk to, you can look for me . Don’t just keep it to yourself . ” Gao Yu Lan said .
“Um……” Chen Ruo Yu nodded in reply . “I’m truly sorry about this . I messed up and caused so much trouble for everybody . ” Gao Yu Lan hastily comforted her and told her it was alright and also said the most important thing is that she is fine now .
So the three people sat in the ward and talked for a while, then Chen Ruo Yu said . “Just now about that ‘hot face’ matter, I didn’t mean it . Please help me to apologize to Dr . Meng Gu……tell him I’m sorry and tell him not to feel angry . ”
“It doesn’t matter, it doesn’t matter, don’t worry . ” Yin Ze confidently waved his hand, then sighed and smiled . “It makes one feel happy just to see that guy get angry . ”
The two women looked at him with their faces full of black lines . Yin Ze lifted his eyebrows and added . “Happiness is a good thing . ”

Just as he finished talking, Meng Gu strode in . After looking at the expressions on the faces of the three people in the room he turned to Yin Ze and asked . “Are you talking about me again?”
“No, no . ” Yin Ze waved repeatedly . “It’s Ruo Yu who wants to tell you something . ”
Meng Gu turned around to face Chen Ruo Yu and asked . “What is it?”
Chen Ruo Yu was stunned . Initially, she felt surprised and wondered why this person who had left in anger earlier had returned . Before she could recover, she was placed in an awkward situation by Yin Ze and Meng Gu had asked such a question . All of a sudden she felt empty-headed and did not know what to say .
Meng Gu looked at her blank expression and gave a ‘humph’, then said . “I’ve asked the doctor and he said you are fine . If you want to be discharged, you can do so now . ”
Chen Ruo Yu was surprised . “I asked the doctor today and he had said ‘No’ . He said to wait for tomorrow . ”
“Are you a doctor or am I a doctor?”
“Of course it’s you . ” Chen Ruo Yu twitched her mouth .
Do you have to emphasize you are a doctor? What is so great about being a doctor?
“Dr . Meng Gu……” Beside him, Yin Ze added a sentence .
Meng Gu did not even look at Yin Ze and said directly to Chen Ruo Yu . “A technical dialogue was held between two doctors and the conclusion is that if you continue to stay in the hospital, you will have to pay more . Therefore, you can be discharged today, so do you want to be discharged?”
“Yes, yes!” When Chen Ruo Yu confirmed she could be discharged from the hospital, she felt very happy and vigorously nodded her head . For each day that she stays in the hospital, she had to spend a lot of money and she felt her heart ached for the money spent .

When Meng Gu heard her, he turned around and walked out . “I’ll go and help you with the procedures while you pack your things . We’ll leave in a while . ”
“Aiyo… . . so virtuous . ” Yin Ze said in a weird tone which made the three people simultaneously lifted their eyebrows at him .
“Wife, they can be forgiven for staring at me but why are you doing the same?” Yin Ze put on a grievous look while Gao Yu Lan turned away and pretended not to see .
Meng Gu lowered his head to look at Yin Ze’s foot and snorted . “Because of your sprained foot, I won’t dispute with you . Better recover quickly, I’ll be waiting for you . ”
“I’m also waiting and I feel so anxious . Too much delay to the big event . ” Yin Ze said with a roguish face . However, Meng Gu was not interested to hold a verbal spar with him today and walked out .
Gao Yu Lan also drove Yin Ze out of the room so that Chen Ruo Yu could change her clothes and pack up her things .
Chen Ruo Yu had nothing much, so she was able to complete her packing quickly . She sat there and looked blankly at her cell phone . Gao Yu Lan was able to guess what she was thinking and asked . “How do you intend to tell your family?”
“Just tell them the truth . ” Chen Ruo Yu said with her head bowed . “I have lied to them for such a long and at worst, I’ll get a scolding from them . ”
“Ruo Yu……” Gao Yu Lan sat down next to her and put an arm around her shoulder .
Chen Ruo Yu cuddled up to her and said in a dull voice . “I’m just sorry that I let them down . I’m actually not as good as I had boasted and I also lied to them . Qi Na that bitch told everyone and I don’t know what others are thinking . As you know, our place is so small, there are people we frequently meet and if those relatives and neighbors ask and make my parents lose face, it will be unpleasant for them . What should I do?”
Gao Yu Lan also did not know . She remembered when she met with failure in her love life, she left her hometown, left her parents at home and she did not know whether they had also experienced the same thing . When she thought of this, she felt sad .

The two girls sat there blankly and no one spoke . After sitting there for a long time, Chen Ruo Yu suddenly sat up with her spine straight and said loudly . “I have thought it over . I can’t carry on like this . ”
Gao Yu Lan turned to look at her and Ruo Yu said . “I have decided to work hard to become the top insurance salesperson, earn a lot of money, and let my parents have a good life . I want to let that bitch, Qi Na shut her mouth and let those gossip mongers go to hell!”
She said those words in an imposing manner which also affected Gao Yu Lan . Gao Yu Lan nodded her head in agreement and said . “That’s right . I have to do the same too . I want to make a good life for myself and let those nasty people feel bad and if they feel bad, I will be happy . ”
“That’s right!” Chen Ruo Yu clapped her hands . “We must better ourselves and we must not lose . ” She looked at Gao Yu Lan and suddenly she used her shoulder to bump Gao Yu Lan . “Ai… . . just now Boss Yin called you his wife……have you done that?”
“What? What?” Gao Yu Lan blushed . “Don’t let your thoughts run wild . ”
“Okay, I’ll not let my thoughts run wild . ” Chen Ruo Yu’s face showed a serious expression . “I have thought a lot during this period . Lan Lan, I want to go back the next holiday to talk to them . Anyway, everybody is no longer a friend like before and I have broken free from them . I want to help you redress the wrong done to you . ”
Gao Yu Lan went blank and she slowly turned her head to look at Chen Ruo Yu . Chen Ruo Yu looked back at her . “Lan Lan, I had always felt I owed you and I want to put an end to this matter . Although I think it’s a bit too late and what I say won’t restore your reputation but I owe you this . I must speak up for you so that my heart will be at ease and won’t always remember this debt . ”
Gao Yu Lan felt some excitement in her heart . She had always felt that something was missing in her heart but now suddenly she realized…… . she did not get justice for herself . She immersed herself in self-pity, she felt angry, she felt sad but she did not make any effort to clear the injustice done to her .
After thinking this over and over in her mind, Gao Yu Lan suddenly stood up . “Ruo Yu, what you said is correct . Although this matter happened so long ago, a lot of things are irreparable but I can’t let that nasty Qi Na and that heartless Zheng Tao lead a happy life . They owed me the truth and I must make them spit out the truth to let everyone see their true colors . ”
Chen Ruo Yu also stood up and said . “I support you . ”
Gao Yu Lan was very excited and full of fighting spirit . “Ruo Yu, we must do our best, make a career in city and then go back and expose the wretched Qi Na’s true colors . We must be happy and let them feel depressed!”
