Chapter 40 – Another encounter
“I actually wanted to leave but someone wouldn’t let me . ”
“Why?”
“Who knows, it could be because I was cheap and lovable?” Yin Ze grabbed her hand and gave her a bite .
“I don’t believe you . ”
“It’s the truth . You pulled me and wouldn’t let me leave . You said nobody believed you and that love is fake and friendship is also fake . You said you wanted to leave this place and find a place where no one knows you . ”
She quietened down and in her heart, she knew that was indeed her . Because at that time, the idea of leaving was controlling her brain, her anger, and finally, sadness made her leave her home and leave that city .
She was quiet for a moment and asked . “What else did I say to you?”
“You scolded me for being smelly . ” Yin Ze had a look of innocence . “It was obvious you were the one who was smelly and instead, you scolded me for being smelly . ”
“Ha… . . ” She imagined the scenario for a moment and thought it was very funny . “And then?”
“Then I just told you in your face that you were smelly . ”
She laughed out loud, poked Yin Ze’s face, and said . “You were the one that was smelly . ”
“Ai… . . it was correct . You also poked me then but I was not lying on your lap so you could only poke my arm . You asked me which part of you was smelly and I asked you which part of me was smelly . Then you said the smell of smoke on me was smelly and I told you that the smell of alcohol on you was stinky . ”
She laughed as she listened and urged him to carry on . “What happened after that? Did I beat you again?”
Yin Ze rolled his eyes at her . “Why do you always think of beating people? You didn’t beat me instead, you invited me to drink beer with you . You stubbornly shoved the beer to me and told me to drink . I think it was most probably you wanted me to stink like you too . ”
“Did you drink?’
“Yes, if I didn’t drink, it would be a waste . ”
Gao Yu Lan admired him greatly . “A stranger gave you a drink and you were not even afraid that something else could have been added into the drink . ”
“No, not afraid . Anyway, you were also not afraid . ” Yin Ze said . “I also gave you cigarettes to smoke so that you would also stink with cigarette smoke . ”
“I don’t know how to smoke . ” She shouted . From young, she was a good child, seriously obedient and sensible, never smoked, and also extremely hated the smell of cigarette smoke .

She was speechless and slapped him on his arm . “You are really annoying . It was due to great blessings bestowed upon me I was able to reach home safely that day . ”

“I thought you left long ago?”

“So you sent me home?”

That female ruffian stance scared the couple and they ran away . Then you invited me to take a seat as if nothing had happened and boldly drank another can of beer . ”
She did not comment anymore . It seemed that night she was possessed by a monster .
Yin Ze went on to say . “Then you chatted with me and talked about your matters with all the facts jumbled up . I really couldn’t understand but anyway I could make out that your boyfriend dumped you and your friends framed you . I wasn’t clear about the main point and you also repeatedly mentioned you were going to leave the city . Then you asked me why I was there and whether I was a rogue who was there to pick up girls at night . Then you told me that it was not safe at night and told me not to wander alone on the streets . ”
Her face was full of black lines . She struggled internally and finally said . “You must be lying to me . This happened more than three years ago, how can you still remember so clearly? You can even remember I was carrying three cans of beer when I followed behind you . You could still remember even though I talked so much, so it must be either you’re lying or you’re exaggerating . ”

Gao Yu Lan was dazed for a while . “So, people who are drunk do have a higher IQ . ”
“I asked you the method of selling ‘vanity’ and you told me to let the customers come to the restaurant not to eat but be treated like Lords . And not everyone could be treated like Lords, even if they had the money it didn’t mean they could be treated as Lords . Let them queue up and make them unable to eat . ” Yin Ze looked at Gao Yu Lan and laughed . “What you said at that time actually sounded crazy . “Wow, wow…… . then you should give me a share of your Food Restaurant since I helped you become successful . ”
“Stupid . If you accept the Boss of Food Restaurant then the Boss together with the Restaurant will be yours . Why do you want a share? You are so short-sighted . ” Yin Ze held up her hand and bite her a few times . “Tell me, when do you intend to accept the Boss of Food Restaurant?”
“I don’t have time now, I’m listening to the story . ” She said perfunctorily, dismissing the Boss and then asked . “What happened after that? Finish the story first……and then did you send me home?”
“Well, all the time you were talking non-stop and then you cried again . You said you have exchanged those seven years with betrayal . You wanted to chop up your boyfriend and those two friends who had framed you and give me their meat to make steamed buns . Then I said I would send you home and you said you were very happy you had someone to talk to . You also said you wanted to meet me in the park again the next day and I agreed . ”
When Gao Yu Lan heard this, she felt bad . After she went home, she went to sleep and after waking up she forgot everything . She only remembered she cried in someplace and after having cried enough, she went home . What was that about meeting in the park again the next day? She must have completely forgotten the whole thing and stood him up .
As expected, Yin Ze stared at her and said . “I flagged a taxi to send you home but you could not even say clearly where you wanted to go and blindly instructed the driver . The driver said that the district you wanted to go was this way but you said no and insisted the driver go the other way . Originally the journey to your destination should be completed in 20 minutes but you led the driver drive in a roundabout way that lasted 50 minutes . When I got down from the car to pay, the driver looked at me with sympathetic eyes . ”
Yin Ze gritted his teeth as he said . “You really had no conscience . I was already so poor and I had to help you pay for the sky-high taxi fare . That was nothing but when I turned around you were gone . While I was paying the driver, you ran into the district and disappeared . I thought since you had reached your home, it should be fine and as a result, the next day I went to Qing Song Park to wait for you but you never turned up . ”
“I’m sorry, I really couldn’t remember . ” Gao Yu Lan felt a little guilty and felt heartache for the expensive taxi fare .

Yin Ze gave a ‘humph’ and then said . “After I came back, I perfected the restaurant concept a little better and then started to act on it . Later when Food Restaurant became very successful and started to make a profit, I always thought about you . I wondered how you were, whether your boyfriend apologized to you, did the two of you reconcile or did you really leave that place to start a new life? Gao Yu Lan giggled . That was an embarrassing incident and except for giggling, what else could she do?
“Momentarily, I fell into a daze and the drunkard took the opportunity to give me two kicks on my leg and gave me a hard push . It just happened that behind me was a step and as a result, I fell and twisted my foot . Then that drunkard snatched Mantou and ran . That time, I felt very angry . She did not snatch me, instead, my dog was snatched and although both are males, the difference was indeed too great . ”
Gao Yu Lan was still laughing and she continued to laugh foolishly .

“So this isn’t correct? After listening to this story, I will remember that I beat you up and helped you make money . ”
“You really know how to look for the main points . ” Yin Ze was exasperated . “Now it’s your turn . Tell me I am handsome, chic, noble, confident, humorous, and charming, skilled at entertaining and cooking, so you are deeply attracted to me, is that right?”
She giggled and said . “In comparison, I think it’s likely that the beginning part of what you said is correct . ”
