Chapter 38 – Making progress
As Gao Yu Lan walked home carrying her small travel bag, she was thinking – – For all I care… . . humph……behaving so childishly!’ She made up her mind to call Yin Ze tomorrow and if he behaved better, she would visit him in his house tomorrow .
Soon she reached home and Gao Yu Lan sat on the sofa in a daze . After sitting down for less than ten minutes, she started to think of the Best Actor .
Is his house far away? Has he reached home yet? Did he manage to climb up the stairs?
After she had finished thinking, immediately she felt disdainful of herself . Not long after that, crazy thoughts began to cloud her mind again .
She should not always revolve around him in circles, she ought to think of proper matters for example work .
To work as a manager seems good and very challenging . She was happy with the last magazine activity she managed but with only one customer, it was certainly not enough . After all, this type of business was not classified as a need and could only depend on customers . For the shop to survive, it was necessary to be self-reliant on finances, possess its own brand of products, and also build up its own customers .
When she thought of this, she quickly turned on her computer and searched on the internet to look at other people’s salon themes, their activities and the different types of profit-making modes . She looked through carefully, dug up a lot of information and took down notes while thinking of the conditions that could be incorporated and fitted into the shop’s conditions and the manpower required .
She was immersed in her work when she heard her doorbell ring .
When she looked at her watch, it was already past 9 o’clock . It was so late, she wondered who could be at the door .
She walked to the door and when she looked through the glass peephole on the door, she was shocked . She quickly opened the door and saw Mr . Yin Ze carrying a bag, leaning on two crutches with a pitiful and miserable expression on his face, standing outside the door .
Gao Yu Lan was astounded . This time he did not come in a wheelchair but came on crutches?!
Gao Yu Lan wanted to laugh but felt she must not laugh and so she let out a series of coughs . She pressed down the urge to laugh and asked . “What’s the matter?”
Isn’t this very obvious? Is there still a need to ask?
Yin Ze showed a bitter face and said pitifully . “No one feels pity for my wounded leg, so I can only come to plead……”
She could no longer hold back her laughter and with a ‘Puchi’ sound, she burst into laughter .

But In just a blink of an eye, Mr . Yin Ze had sat down heavily on the sofa and happily let out a sigh . He put down his bag and set aside his crutches .

She sighed . Well, since he is here, she really could not kick him out .
“Lan Lan, I’m thirsty . ” After having successfully entered the living room, he started to make requests and Gao Yu Lan handed him a glass of water .

Gao Yu Lan turned down the volume of the TV, sat down beside him, and began to interrogate him . “Who sent you over?”
