Chapter 36 – I’m sorry
Just as night had fallen, pedestrians in twos and threes leisurely strolled along the boulevard .
Niu Niu was pulling Mantou and prancing in front while Yin Ze and Gao Yu Lan strolled hand in hand behind them . They did not talk and only held each other’s hands tightly . Peace and serenity filled the heart of Gao Yu Lan and felt that if she could keep on walking down this path like this, she would be very happy .
In front, Niu Niu was speaking to Mantou in a low voice . “You can’t eat this…… . don’t bite on trash . ”
“You can’t climb up on other people’s legs, you don’t even know them . ”
“Mantou, you don’t have integrity . When you see people carrying plastic bags passing by, you just follow them . ”
Gao Yu Lan laughed as she listened to her . Yin Ze turned around, looked at Gao Yu Lan, then poked her forehead, and said . “Silly . ”
“I’m not silly . ” Gao Yu Lan rubbed her forehead as she followed Nin Niu and Mantou turned a corner and walked in the direction of the store . Suddenly, Yin Ze pointed at a bar on the opposite side of the street and said . “Look, that was where you hit me to attract my attention and also snatched away Mantou . ”
Gao Yu Lan looked over and thought of the past . Recalling the incident when she shouted she was looking for a man, her face turned red . “You are useless . You got kicked and had your dog snatched by a girl . Even if you’re not shy to tell others, I feel embarrassed to hear about it . ”
“Huh … . . now you are angry, ah . Initially, who was the one who had snot running down and tearfully said she was drunk, complained that she was framed, and her brain was burnt out and unconsciously did bad things . Now she doesn’t complain tearfully but instead, she bites back . ” Yin Ze pinched her nose and like to see her bullied face screwed up like a bun .
“There was no snot or tears!” Gao Yu Lan slapped away his hand hard .

The two bickered until they have unconsciously arrived at Suixin Yuan entrance . Niu Niu who was pulling Mantou turned around and looked at the two adults with contempt . “What you said doesn’t have substance, so silly!” After she finished speaking, with her head held high, she pulled the small dog and went in .
“She is jealous . ” Yin Ze came to a conclusion . “Lan Lan, you must work harder . You can’t lose to Niu Niu or else your boyfriend will be snatched away by a small girl . Wouldn’t that be losing face?”
“It doesn’t matter as I’ve always been like that . ”
“You can’t have such a low expectation of yourself . ” Yin Ze could not control himself and pinched her cheeks again . She slapped his hand away again then suddenly remembered and asked . “Yin Ze, if that day, it was another woman who snatched away Mantou, would you have done the same?”
“What’s that?”
“That……pretended to be seriously injured, ah…… . blackmail, no……it should be extortion . ” Gao Yu Lan tilted her head and seriously pondered over her words . “Anyway, it won’t be the normal way of people communicating . ”
“How dare you slander my image?! Which part of me isn’t like normal people and extortion……”
Gao Yu Lan let out a shout ‘Wa!’ turned around and ran……so fierce! But that time he indeed had a perverted attitude when he went to her house to extort her!
Yin Ze chased after her with determination to demand an explanation . She shouted . “I’m wrong, I’m wrong! You’re not perverted, not perverted!”

She shouted and was caught and then Yin Ze kissed her on her lips which startled her . His kiss was gentle and teasing and soon she was intoxicated by his kiss . When she rested her hands on his shoulders, suddenly she realized they were on the street .
From the corner of her eyes, she saw a few people nearby looking at them and a wretched middle-aged man was laughing at them . She was so scared that she gave a push and Yin Ze who was somehow not standing steadily was actually pushed down . Behind him was the green belt beside the sidewalk and his feet stumbled on the steps of the flower bed . With a loud crash, he fell into the thicket .
Gao Yu Lan did not expect she would have such extraordinary strength . She was stunned silly for a few seconds before she reacted and quickly helped Yin Ze stand up . He trembled as he tried to stand up and his face had turned slightly green . Then he flexed his ankle around and felt a slight pain .
She was full of guilt . Feeling ashamed and sad, she kept on apologizing . Next to them, the wretched uncle laughed loudly and she wanted to cry . Yin Ze turned his head, narrowed his eyes, and glared at that man . The man was stunned for a moment, then he stopped laughing . and touching his nose, he quickly left .
“I’m sorry, I didn’t do it intentionally . ” Gao Yu Lan used her shoulder to support Yin Ze as they walked towards Suixin Yuan . “How is your foot? Is it sprained? I’m sorry…… . . ”
“Why did you push me?” Yin Ze was not blaming her but was just wondering why she did that . What was the matter with her? He looked around and with his eyes, he forced the few people who were watching to retreat .
“I don’t know . Suddenly I realized we were on the street and the people beside us were watching……” Now she regretted it even more because this situation compared to them kissing just now had attracted more attention from the people on the street .
She was really unfortunate, so unfortunate that she wanted to cry .
The two people walked into Suixin Yuan and Yin Ning looked up in surprise . “What happened? Weren’t the two of you chatting outside the door? I was just thinking how much longer will both of you be talking . ”

She twitched her mouth and said . “Your leg is all covered with hair . ” She felt sadness in her heart but this person was teasing her……really annoying .
Yin Ze was dumbstruck . Yin Ning laughed and Guo Qiu Chen also could not control his laughter, but being rationale he had a thought . “Do you need me to send you to the hospital for a check-up? A sprained ankle is a serious problem . ”
“Yes, yes . It’s better to do a check-up at the hospital . ” Immediately Gao Yu Lan agreed . It was all her fault . They were talking amiably but how did she manage to hurt him again?
Yin Ze looked at the worry on her face and sighed . If he did not agree to go, he knew she would nag .
So in the end, Guo Qiu Chen sent Yin Ze and Gao Yu Lan to the hospital while Yin Ning stayed back in Suixin Yuan to look after Niu Niu and Mantou . Of course, they went to the hospital close-by where Dr . Meng Gu worked . Yin Ze thought Dr . Meng Gu would have gone off duty but this day, Dr . Meng Gu had to perform surgery so coincidentally he was still in the hospital . Because Dr . Meng Gu and Yin Ze were close friends, the nurse immediately informed Dr . Meng Gu .
When Dr . Meng Gu came in, he had a smile that made people wanted to give him a footprint on his face . “Aiyo……look who is here?”
“Your Uncle . ”
“Is Uncle’s foot hurt? Why is your foot hurt every time, Uncle? Uncle, are you lacking in calcium?”
As usual, the moment the two meet, they would exchange sarcastic comments but Gao Yu Lan was not happy . She frowned and said seriously . “Check his foot first . If you want to talk garrulously, you can talk later after you have examined him . ”
With just a few words, the two men were instantly put in their place . Yin Ze immediately shut up and Dr . Meng Gu touched his nose . Two cheap-mouth teammates who usually spar verbally had to admit defeat and he could not pass comment on his teammate’s family . He coughed twice and helped Yin Ze to the examination bed . He took off Yin Ze’s shoes and carefully examined his foot . While he was taking a closer look, he whispered . “Ai…… . her manner has become much stronger and you were the one who trained her . ”
“It’s not time yet but she had changed rapidly on her own . ”
“How did you get hurt?”
“She pushed me . ”
“What happened? Both times, it was her . ”

Gao Yu Lan was a bit doubtful and Yin Ze smiled . Meng Gu stared at her with an expression of hurt . “You can doubt my personality but not my medical skills!”
Gao Yu Lan’s face was full of black lines . She looked at Yin Ze’s foot which had grown bigger than before but his mood was still lively . She assumed that it was no big deal so she went out to call Guo Qiu Chen to help support Yin Ze out .
“You are leaving just like this?” Dr . Meng Gu showed his reluctance .
Yin Ze grinned at him . “What else do you want?”
“I don’t have anyone to verbally spar with me and finally one appeared . I am reluctant to let you leave . ”
“I have a new love . I don’t have any feelings for you now . ” Yin Ze waved his hand . He held on to Guo Qiu Chen’s arm and climbed down from the bed, then supported himself on Gao Yu Lan with an arm around her shoulder .
Dr . Meng Gu pushed a wheelchair over and sent them downstairs while Guo Qiu Chen went to get his car .
Suddenly Dr . Meng Gu asked Gao Yu Lan . “That friend of yours, how is she recently?”
“Which one?” Gao Yu Lan was puzzled .
“Ruo Yu, ah… . . how is she recently?”
“I don’t know . I had been staying in my hometown earlier on and just came back today . ”

When Meng Gu heard, he frowned . “Then what other friends does she have here?”
“I don’t know . ”
Meng Gu frowned even more . “Are you not her best friend? Why is it that you don’t know anything?”
Gao Yu Lan stared at him and Meng Gu said . “Then you must not know her new cell phone number . ”
“Did she change her cell phone number?” Gao Yu Lan indeed did not know . She pulled out her phone and dialed Chen Ruo Yu’s number but it was an empty number .

Gao Yu Lan was very worried after hearing Meng Gu’s words . “She didn’t look for me . Did something happen to her? Are her injuries serious?”
“Her injuries are fine but she handled the matter foolishly . She shouldn’t have represented others in this matter . When I asked her, she said she can’t stand to see other people get framed and lose the chance to claim compensation . But why did she run and hide from me? She is crazy and if you find her, help me to scold her . ”
“Why should she help you to scold Ruo Yu? If you are capable, why don’t you do it yourself?” Yin Ze answered back . Gao Yu Lan frowned and felt something was not right .
While they were talking, Guo Qiu Chen had driven the car over . Gao Yu Lan supported Yin Ze to the car and then bid farewell to Dr . Meng Gu . Along the way she finally came to her senses and asked . “How did Dr . Meng get Ruo Yu’s phone number?”
Yin Ze replied . “It seems Chen Ruo Yu had launched her offensive . I heard from him that she had gone to see him on several occasions on the pretense of being sick . Every time there was nothing wrong with her and Meng Gu was unhappy and said she was wasting medical resources . ”
“Then, they didn’t feel anything for each other?”
“It should be correct . Probably Meng Gu likes someone similar to a delicate beauty and Chen Ruo Yu is someone outspoken and looked a little uncouth which doesn’t match his taste . ”
Gao Yu Lan sighed and thought of what Meng Gu said . Chen Ruo Yu had helped her client and also said she could not bear to see other people being framed so that they could not claim compensation .
