Chapter 32: Grilled Sausages

"Sister Rou Er, why are you so happy?" Fang Dashi was curious when he saw Wen Rou smiled so sweetly.

"Father had gone to sleep. I will cook something for all of you!" Wen Rou giggled as she got up.

Yuan Zi took some peanuts and drank some wine as he said, "Sister Rou Er, forget it! Even if you want to cook for us, you need to have ingredients right. Look around you, the kitchen is totally empty. There is nothing there to cook!"

He had hanged in a high location to prevent rats from eating it. But he had forgotten to keep that.

"I got an idea! Let's eat that!" Wen Rou pointed at the bamboo container and smiled.

Everyone looked at the sausages and immediately swallowed their saliva.

"Aiya…." Er Gou sighed.

"What are you sighing for? We will soon have meat to eat!" Yuan Zi knocked Er Gou on his head.

"Eat? You eat shit, arh? There is no firewood! You try eating the frozen hard sausages!" Er Gou was usually very nice, but today he was very angry.

After listening to Er Gou, everyone looked around. There is not a single piece of firewood. There is no need to ask, everyone knew that Wen Shouzhen must have kept them already.

Wen Rou's face lit up and seems to turn red under the glow of the candlelight. Her big eyes seemed to lit up with delight and form a plan as she considered what they had.

"Brother Shi Tou, help to cut these charcoal block into smaller pieces and place them in the iron trough. Brother Xiao Wu, please help to fan and start a fire in the trough. First, use the candle and see if you can light smaller pieces of charcoal. If it runs out, then you use the flint stones! Brother Yuan Zi, help to skewer all the sausage with the bamboo sticks. If they spilt the sausages equally among the five of them, there are not enough to divide it into 3 sausages for each of them. But if each of them has only 2 sausages, there are some left over. How are they going to divide these sausages? Later he must not lose out and take 3 sausages!

"Brother Yuan Zi, please call Er Gou to come in! The sausages are almost ready." Wen Rou voiced sounded out and woke Yuan Zi from his calculations.

At this moment, Er Gou had finished digging a pit. He kept the shovel, and placed some grass on top. After they have buried everything, he will refill this hole.
