Yun Xiangxiang ran past Lucifer and fluttered into Song Mian’s embrace like a butterfly. Nobody stopped her.
“Sorry for being late.” Song Mian hugged Yun Xiangxiang tightly.
God knew the pain he suffered when he received this news right after he landed. Every minute was torture to him.
There was a tracking device in Yun Xiangxiang’s ring, which only he knew about, and he rushed over once he locked onto Yun Xiangxiang’s location.
“I’m fine.” Yun Xiangxiang buried herself in his embrace, taking in his scent.
Song Mian gazed at Lucifer coldly; noticing the bloodstain on Lucifer’s thigh.
A storm of fury welled up in his eyes. Song Mian gently pushed Yun Xiangxiang to Song Qian, who was beside him.
Song Mian flitted to Lucifer, but Lucifer reacted in time. He tilted his body and slid to the side, dodging Song Mian’s attack. His other hand was placed in front of his belly, stopping Song Mian’s punch from inching closer.
Song Mian spun around without skipping a beat, and his leg swept across the ground.
Lucifer leaned to the side and raised his hand to block this kick, but Song Mian followed it up by making a jumping spin and sent two roundhouse kicks at Lucifer.
Lucifer only managed to block a few of his kicks, but one of Song Mian’s attacks managed to land on his shoulder, sending Lucifer tumbling down the spiral staircase behind him.
Lucifer’s men took out their guns and aimed them at Song Mian and his men.
Song Mian stood in the middle of the two groups. He inched closer to Lucifer as if he didn’t notice the guns these people were holding.
Song Mian was in an all-black attire today; black trousers and a black shirt. Every step he took seemed to stir up a gust of wind.
Every step he took made a mark on everyone’s heart; it was terrifying yet venerable.
Lucifer pushed away the person who came to help him up. He leaped up and cracked his neck; his fighting spirit welling up in his eyes.
“I’ll give you a chance to attack first.” Song Mian was calm yet majestic.
Song Mian attacked out of rage just now, so his win would be meaningless since he had the advantage. If he wanted to defeat Lucifer, he had to make him yield.
Lucifer welcomed the offer. He cracked his knuckles before sending a punch flying toward Song Mian’s face.
Song Mian swiftly turned to the side and dodged his punch, but Lucifer attacked his back with another hand, while the missed punch quickly changed into a horizontal chop.
Yun Xiangxiang was worried about her boyfriend. She didn’t see how Song Mian managed it, but he escaped Lucifer’s pincer attack instantly.
He pressed his elbow against both Lucifer’s hands and blocked his attack, closing the distance between them.
When their eyes met, sparks of clashing sabers flew.
Both of them couldn’t move their upper body, but their legs continued the fight, as they attacked, defended, dodged, and sent flying kicks to each other…
After countless exchanges of blows, Song Mian finally caught an instant where he managed to hold Lucifer’s legs.
Lucifer didn’t manage to react for a split second, but that was all Song Mian needed. Song Mian moved his arm and caught Lucifer’s wrist before anyone realized what was happening.
Lucifer twisted his arms in an attempt to break free of Song Mian’s restraint, but Song Mian wasn’t attacking his arms.
Song Mian bumped his knee against Lucifer’s and hooked his ankle from the back. Lucifer fell and tumbled to the side.
At the instant Lucifer fell, Song Mian grabbed his wrist and pulled him back, while his elbow smashed against Lucifer’s chest. When the attack hit, Song Mian released his hand.
Lucifer was sent flying backward by the impact, and he almost crashed into the wall, but his men pounced and managed to cushion the impact.
Both of them crashed into the wall, but Lucifer’s servant became a cushion for him.
Lucifer’s men stood in front of Lucifer with their guns in their hands, but they did not shoot without Lucifer’s orders.
Song Mian ignored these people, and he crept closer. “Again!”
Lucifer’s violent nature was aroused. He pushed everyone away and went forward, darkness welling up in his eyes.
“I’m attacking first this time.” Song Mian attacked after reminding Lucifer.
Song Mian didn’t take advantage of Lucifer’s blind spots, nor did he insult him in the fight. They each swung the first punch once. As the fight went on, Yun Xiangxiang lost count how many times they exchanged blows.
At the end of the fight, all the furniture in the great hall was sent flying everywhere, and many antiques were smashed. Song Mian badly beat up Lucifer in the end.
After confirming that Lucifer was injured enough, Song Mian turned around and took Yun Xiangxiang’s hand before leaving Lucifer’s villa.
“You could have just taught him a lesson. Why did you have to fight with him?” Yun Xiangxiang applied some ointment for Song Mian when they were in the car.
Lucifer was beaten until he couldn’t get up, but he wasn’t a weakling either. Song Mian was hit a few times, and his cheekbone was badly bruised.
Song Mian took Yun Xiangxiang’s hand and pulled it away from his face. “I want to drill this into his head.”
Yun Xiangxiang spoke nothing. Song Mian was an intelligent doctor, so the moment he saw Lucifer’s bloodstain, he knew roughly when he got injured.
From there, it was easy to infer that Yun Xiangxiang injured him. He could imagine why and how Yun Xiangxiang managed to injure Lucifer on the thigh.
Even if his guess wasn’t all correct, it should mostly be on point.
There was a moment of silence in the car, and Song Mian quietly put Yun Xiangxiang’s head on his shoulder. “There will not be a next time.”
“Don’t blame yourself, Ah Mian.” Yun Xiangxiang raised her head and looked at his tense face. “Nobody wanted this to happen. Since I’m fine, don’t think about all the ‘what if’ scenarios.”
Yun Xiangxiang knew Song Mian must be frightened as he thought about what could have happened to Yun Xiangxiang if anything went wrong.
But there were not that many ‘what could have happened’ in this world. If everyone would only think of the ‘what if’ scenarios, nobody would walk the path forward.
Song Mian said nothing; instead, he kissed her hair.
Yun Xiangxiang held his hand. “What do you want to do with Faye?”
“What do you want to do?” A murderous intent flashed in Song Mian’s eyes.
She covered his eyes with her tender hands. Yun Xiangxiang spoke sweetly, “Don’t make that look, Ah Mian. I’ll be scared.”
I’m afraid that you might be controlled by the devil inside of you; I’m worried that the evil in your heart will control you once you lose control.
I am afraid that I might be the one who made you turn into the devil.
Song Mian closed his eyes and moved Yun Xiangxiang’s hand away. When his eyes met Yun Xiangxiang’s again, they were crystal clear.
“I’m serious. You can do whatever you want.” He still sounded solemn.
