She sits in front of the dressing table and stares at her phone in hesitation; should she call him?
Will he answer her phone call?
In the midst of her entanglement, her eyes fall on a piece of red silk left on top of the dresser. That is the same red silk used to wrap Ding Mengya's gift.
When she thinks of that, Zhuang Nai Nai reluctantly acknowledge that throwing it away was a little too much.
Even if she dislikes Ding Mengya, even if she hates Ding Mengya to the bones, this was a gift she personally came over to give. Maybe, it has special meaning to the Si Family.
The dustbin inside the room is almost useless. They only use it to discard things after bed activities. The trash inside the dustbin is changed early every morning. She merely threw the box there to vent; she knew it wasn't going to be touched by anyone until the next morning.
With that in mind, she stands up and walks to the dustbin, intending to pick the bracelet back up.
However, after searching it, the box is nowhere in sight.
Zhuang Nai Nai's heart rate picks up. She search again one more time, this time, emptying the dustbin's content to the floor, but she still cannot find the box.
She bites her lips, finally understanding something important.
Was Si Zheng Ting angry because he found that bracelet in the dustbin?
Everything suddenly comes together.
She finally understands why Si Zheng Ting asked her questions earlier.
She puts herself in his position; if her mother gives him a present, only for him to throw it away, she will definitely get angry, and sad as well. Their relationship has only gotten better!
Zhuang Nai Nai clenches her fists before running downstairs towards the housekeeper, "Has anyone touched the dustbin in our bedroom?"
The housekeeper respectfully replies her, "People are not allowed to simply enter sir's bedroom, madam."
Zhuang Nai Nai realizes that what she guessed is true.
She bites her lips while staring at her phone.
Since she is the one who committed a mistake, she must acknowledge her own fault.
She takes a deep breath and gathers her courage before dialing Si Zheng Ting's number. 'Sorry, the number that you have dialled cannot be reached….'
Zhuang Nai Nai lowers her head quietly.
Si Zheng Ting does not return home for the next couple of days. She cannot see him during work as he has instructed his bodyguards to deny her entry.
In the blink of an eye, Friday comes and Si Zheng Ting still hasn't gone home.
She feels like this cannot go on.
Si Zheng Ting is proud by nature. If she does not make the first move, he might not come home for the next 6 months.
Furthermore, all this happened because of her.
Today, she took special care to check the top floor of the company before going home. The light was off, that means that Si Zheng Ting had gotten off work.
She does not know where he is, and Ji Chen definitely wouldn't tell her as well. Fortunately, she remembers hearing him taking a call from Su Yan Bin last week. Seems like they planned on going out tonight.
She eagerly runs downstairs to the housekeeper, "Do you know Su Yan Bin's number?"
The housekeeper shakes his head, "No, I don't, madam."
