Reason to Go Ahead
This is might be the last sleep in my life . While I am having such a thought, I take out a blanket from the items bag . The life on the 20th floor feels so long . The blanket has turned black and very dirty .
We decided to take a break to prepare ourselves for the fight with the Mid Boss . Fortunately, there are no monsters around the area which are likely to approach our resting place . Finally, once for a while, I might be able to rest for the first time .
Before I realize it, the two of us are lying side by side under one blanket and go to sleep . As usual, Erin is laying down beside me .
Erin: “I decided that I won’t utter any fainthearted remark, but can I just say one thing?”
Erin turns her body towards me and lets out one long sigh which hits my ears . I shrug my shoulder to ease the ticklish feeling .
Note: “What is it?”
Erin: “You really do want to fight against the Mid Boss, right?”
Note: “It’s not fighting . I plan to stall some time and run away . ”
Erin: “But it’s still the same thing . ”

Suddenly I feel that my hand is tightly grasped .
Erin: “Actually for me, I don’t really hate our life right now . ”
Note: “Our life right now?”
Erin: “Like I said, I don’t hate our current life like this where I can talk with Note without any discretion . “

That phrase strangely seeps through to the inside of my heart . It is exactly as she said, this place has become the world only for the two of us . This is a perfect world which is only consisted of me and Erin . In this place, as long as we think about each other, we will be able to live peacefully without bothering anyone else .
That is an absolutely ideal life . Two people can live happily until they die without carrying the pain in their hearts .
Erin: “Why don’t you stop thinking about challenging the Mid Boss and enjoy the tremendous happiness in the remaining of limited time? Although this place is dangerous, if I am together with you, I think we can live like this for a long time . ”
Erin seems to think the same thing as I did .
Erin: “We can sleep and embrace each other . Let’s kiss all day long . After that, let’s gradually do a lot of things together until we are tired of it . Just like that, you have an option to spend the rest of your life in happiness until you die . ”
After she said that, Erin invites my hand to touch her chest . I feel the attractiveness of her decadent proposal from back of my throat to my hand . Weaving days by days with each other, I feel that this seems like the shortest way to gain our happiness .

The heartbeat which I can feel from the palm of my hand gives me some sensation to draw out my impulse .

Before I was able to utter even one word out, Erin already beat me to it .

I relied my thanks for Erin’s concern . It was a kind gesture which was unimaginable if it was her old self . She never used to think about me like this .

Erin: “Then, don’t die . You have to make it alive and go back home . ”
As I look at Erin’s smile, I am unable to resist the urge to hug her tight . The reasons to stay alive and go back home have increased again . With this, there is no other choice except to sacrifice myself in order to get at least only Erin out of this place .
Erin: “Somehow, I can fell asleep if I feel safe . ”
Note: “What’s that? Well, let’s go to sleep for tomorrow . ”
Erin: “Yeah, good night . “

Just like that, Erin entrusts herself and lays her head on my chest . With my other free hand, I stoke Erin’s hair . Her hair is thin, brittle and a little bit rough to touch . Unknowingly, I have been wanting to touch it .
Once I close my eyes, tomorrow will come earlier .
This is the first time that I don’t want tomorrow to come .
