During the game, all the boys suddenly became excited; they were trying their best to pitch.
Zhao Min who was on Mo Liuxi’s team, grabbed the ball, rushed straight forward, but ended up letting an opposing player steal the ball. The opposing player successfully hit a three-pointer.
Mo Liuxi complained. “Do you even know how to play? Why didn’t you pass the ball to me just now?”
Zhang Hongchuan ran over, patted him on the shoulder and said, “You have to understand him. Everybody wants to make a good performance in front of the goddess.”
Mo Liuxi turned to look outside the playground. A group of girls were gathering there. A comely girl was standing under a tree, in a black and white striped t-shirt, black trousers and a pair of white shoes. Her hair was long and black. She was so pretty and special, like the most beautiful scenery.
Mo Liuxi had seen the scenery this morning. This morning she was in a pajama suit, and her long hair was coiled in a bun.
“Don’t you know about it? Yan Su has been recognized as the prettiest girl in our school this month,” said Zhao Min regrettably. “Seriously, she’s getting more and more beautiful since she became famous. Damn it. I didn’t play well just now. She must have seen it.”
Mo Liuxi was never interested in those kinds of things, but at that very moment, he looked at Yan Su and suddenly sensed a strange peacefulness from his heart.
Yet still, he responded to his friends in a bland tone, “That is the prettiest girl at our school?”
Zhang Hongchuan rolled his eyes and said, “She is known as the prettiest girl in the Music Department, while your sister was the prettiest one in the Broadcasting Department. But your sister is pregnant now. People voted on the prettiest girl in the school, and Yan Su won. She’s so elegant and pure.”
Mo Liuxi raised his eyebrows.
Yeah, the elegant and pure girl likes chicken wings, he thought.
He turned and said, “All right. Stop looking at her. Just continue the game.”
The game started again. He dribbled with beautiful movements, and then hit a three-pointer, winning an applause from the entire playground.
He turned back, glanced at the girl, and slightly curved his lips into a faint smile.
At 9:20 p.m., Mo Liuxi brought the chicken wings to Yan Su’s place. Yan Su had just taken a shower. She was wearing a dark-green pajama suit, which emphasized her snow-white skin and beautiful collarbones. The dark-green color looked so fascinating on her.
“Thank you.” Yan Su took over the chicken wings. Her eyes glowed slightly.
Mo Liuxi gave her a bland glance, then he scanned her table with his eyes and said, “Are you having the yogurt that I recommended?”
Yan Su felt a little embarrassed. Her snow-white skin turned slightly pink. Someone had caught her eating snacks.
Mo Liuxi glanced at the yogurt again and said, “Do you believe me now?”
“Yes, yes.” Yan Su nodded, hoping for him to leave.
Right at that moment, someone knocked on the door. Lu Kang stood by the opened door, in a black suit. Under the warm light, he seemed gentle and mature. He was holding a vacuum cup and was a little stunned when he saw the scene inside the flat.
“Mr. Lu, what brings you here?” Yan Su was surprised.
“I didn’t have too much work to do at the company today, so I came here to see you. You guy…” Lu Kang confusedly looked at the plate in Mo Liuxi’s hand. These two can’t get along, can they? He wondered.
“I have some extra chicken wings. I can’t finish them alone, so I brought them here for her,” Mo Liuxi said coldly.
Hearing that, Lu Kang smiled and said, “Good then. The chicken wings might make you thirsty. Su, I brought you some hot milk.”
Yan Su’s face wore a slightly awkward look. She was aware that Lu Kang had feelings for her. She rejected him once, but…
“Why did you bring milk? Doesn’t she have milk?” Mo Liuxi abruptly turned to Yan Su, and continued, “Don’t you have a fresh box of milk in your cabinet?”
