Cheng Sheng looked at her sparkling eyes and remarked, “Aren’t you just a miser then?”
“Haha, that’s right,” Ji Nuanyi nodded and said with pride.
Cheng Sheng smiled as he took a sip of his beer and continued to stare at her.
Yan Su looked at Cheng Sheng and then back at Ji Nuanyi. She smiled in surprise.
Lu Tao stood up to pour everyone a drink. “Come on, it’s our film premiere—our special day. Let’s all have a drink!”
After finding out that Yan Su was the woman he had slept with the last time he was as drunk as a skunk, Mo Liuxi was no longer as hesitant to drink. He reminded Lu Tao gently, “I can drink, but I must not get drunk.”
“Of course! Who are you guys? Superstars! There is a bunch of paparazzi following all of you outside. You shouldn’t get too drunk and ruin your image,” Lu Tao said as he took the lead and emptied his glass of beer.
Lu Tao was the life of the party. Apart from Mo Liuxi’s cold exterior and Yan Su’s introversion, everyone else there was outgoing and fun as individuals. The atmosphere was hyping up very quickly.
At around one in the morning, Li Ming stood up with his bottle of beer and announced, “Everyone! The producer just gave me a call. As of tonight, we’ve already sold 50,000,000 tickets at the box office!”
Everyone was surprised by the good news and was in good spirits. It was a remarkable feat for a film that was just released hours before.
“Seems like breaking a hundred million won’t be a problem then,” Yan Su smiled. “If we get good reviews, more moviegoers will come to catch our film as well.”
“Yes!” Lu Tao stood up. “Enough said. This is great news. Everyone pick up your bottle—if you’re a man, you have to drink up with me.”
Every man present raised their glasses. Mo Liuxi looked over at Yan Su and said softly, “If I get too drunk later, keep a close eye on me. Don’t let any wild passionate woman just take me for the night.”
“Don’t drink so much,” Yan Su reminded him.
They all drank until two in the morning. When they parted ways, there was a big group of them who were dead drunk. Mo Liuxi was feeling dizzy as well.
When Yan Su helped him into the car, she caught sight of Ji Nuanyi’s assistant and Cheng Sheng helping her into her car as well. She frowned but before she could get a closer look, Mo Liuxi grabbed her collar and pulled her into the car with him.
“What are you looking at? Let’s go.” Mo Liuxi wrapped his arms around her tightly and nuzzled his face into the nape of her neck. “Susu, don’t move around. I’m feeling really dizzy.”
Yan Su could smell the strong stench of alcohol on him, and she was too terrified to move around. She was worried that he might throw up on her.
After the car drove off, Yan Su asked the driver, “Are we being followed?”
“Nope.” The driver shook his head.
Mo Liuxi muttered under his breath, “Who would dare to follow us? I am a shareholder of the Luoxi Corporation. No reporter would dare to write about us without getting a green light from our company!”
Yan Su heaved a sigh of relief. There were many perks to dating someone as influential and powerful as him.
In the hotel, Mo Liuxi leaned against Yan Su as she looked for their room. He rested his hand on her shoulder, and he saw Shi Xiang walking out of the elevator. Although his senses were dulled, he could still muster enough to smirk at him. Shi Xiang had obviously lied about retiring early to his room. He must have gone out and partied as well.
“We’re here.” Yan Su stopped in front of the door. When she opened it, Mo Liuxi pushed her into the room before she could turn and get him. He pressed her against the closet near the doorway and started kissing her.
Yan Su was already a little tipsy, and his swift maneuver got her a little dizzy too. When she caught hold of the situation, his kisses were forceful and hot with urgency. There wasn’t room for her to breathe at all.
“… Liu… Xi…” Yan Su was clouded in a heavy mist of lust. “The door…”
“Be good. Baby, did you miss me? I’ve been wanting to kiss you like this for a long time,” Mo Liuxi lifted her legs around him in such a way that she ended up straddling him, her legs off the ground. She was left weak and trembling beneath his hot kisses.
