At midnight, Uncle Han saw that Jiang Yuning still wasn’t asleep when he walked past his room.
“Mister, you should get some rest now,” he couldn’t help but remind him. If Jiang Yuning wasn’t doing his research work, he normally would be sleeping by nine o’clock.
Jiang Yuning shook his head, he was still playing with his phone.
Uncle Han sighed, no wonder young people liked to occupy themselves with their phone.
The next day, Nian Xi woke up and when she opened her WeChat, she was shocked. Someone had left more than a thousand likes and comments on her WeChat.
She scrolled through her notifications and they all belonged to Jiang Yuning.
If she posted a selfie, he would comment, “So pretty.”
If she posted a picture of the scenery, he would also comment, “So beautiful.”
If she wasn’t in a good mood, he would only comment, “Cheer up.”
If she was in a good mood, he would comment, “I’m glad you’re happy.”
Anyway, he commented on all of her random posts online.
Nian Xi didn’t have any words to describe her emotions. She had hundreds of posts over the years; he actually read every single one of them. Alright, she had had plenty of suitors before and some of them would scroll through her page and leave some comments. But no one had been as crazy and obsessed as he was, he was a professional stalker!
She only added him late last night. What time did he go to sleep?
He left so many comments, she didn’t know which one to reply to. It wouldn’t be nice if she ignored all of them.
Nian Xi chose the most recent couple and replied, “Thank you.”
After she washed up, Jiang Yuning had already replied to her, “You’re welcome.”
Why did he have to reply to that? Why was he up so early anyway after sleeping so late?
She thought about it before replying again, “Why are you up so early?”
Jiang Yuning replied, “I’m using the toilet while using my phone; this is my new number, 15******.”
Nian Xi replied, “Ok.”
Jiang Yuning replied, “Remember to save it to your contact, remember to contact me.”
Nian Xi replied, “Ok.”
Jiang Yuning replied, “When are you coming to school?”
Looking at her phone and the crowded comment section, Nian Xi was a little baffled and she commented, “If you have so many questions, why don’t you just text me?”
Jiang Yuning replied, “I don’t want to disturb you.”
Commenting on her posts wasn’t disturbing her?
Nian Xi didn’t know what to say before opening a chatroom with him and she sent him a smiley face.
At the breakfast table, Jiang Yuning was grinning at his phone and said to Uncle Han, unprecedently, “Xixi sent a smiley face to me this morning.”
Uncle Han was shuddering from shock when Jiang Yuning suddenly spoke, “That’s great, and then?”
Jiang Yuning looked down in embarrassment, “I sent her a smiley face as well.”
Uncle Han coughed violently, “You didn’t send anything else?”
Jiang Yuning shook his head, a little stunned.
Uncle Han forced himself to swallow the porridge and said, “If someone sends you a smiley face voluntarily, you’re killing the conversation if you only send them a smiley face back.”
Jiang Yuning was surprised and Uncle Han said, “You can ask about breakfast or something. Or ask her what she would be doing today.”
Jiang Yuning nodded his head, appearing enlightened.
After Uncle Han gave him a lesson, Jiang Yuning wrote, “You can tell the university that I want to go over for lessons.”
Uncle Han sighed, love was powerful indeed. He knew how much Jiang Yuning hated going over to give lessons at the university.
On Thursday, when Nian Xi walked into the station, Cheng Jing walked over while yawning, “I’ve been watching the camera footage at the university, he never left the campus.”
