“I’m not sure how bad it is, but the glass was in his flesh. I hope his neurovascular structures aren’t damaged,” Ji Nuanyi said. “Your brother was so aggressive when he got into the fight. He really sent my heart racing. Too bad I already have a boyfriend. If not…”
“‘If not’ what?” said a cold and harsh voice over the phone.
Ji Nuanyi choked. “You’re there too?”
“I’m eating over at Tingting’s tonight.” Xiao Si was seething with anger. “I didn’t expect to hear what I just heard.”
“Alright, I’m just joking,” Ji Nuanyi said.
Xiao Si grunted.
Luosang was in no mood to listen to their banter. She quickly asked, “Why did he get into a fight? Liuxi always has a good temper.”
Xiao Si mouthed at Nian Junting, “Is she for real?”
Nian Junting looked at him and shook his head.
Ji Nuanyi continued, “When Yan Su went over to make a toast, one of the investors got a little touchy with her and forced her to drink with him. I went over to sort things out but he wasn’t having any of it. Your brother went ahead and kicked him.”
Luosang slammed the table angrily. “That’s too much! How could he bully my brother and my best friend? Which investor was this? Give me his name. I’m not Xu Luosang if I don’t ruin him.”
Nian Junting was shocked at her proclamation.
“Mr. Jia from Haiguang Films…”
“Alright, I got it, thank you. I’ll go find Liuxi now.” Luosang hung up and turned to Nian Junting. “Did you catch that?”
“I heard you.” Nian Junting nodded his head. “But you’re far into your pregnancy now, stay at home. I’ll go to the hospital with your parents.”
“I’m not referring to that.” Luosang rested her hands on her waist. She looked furious. “I’m talking about ruining the CEO of Haiguang Films. My brother and my best friend were bullied tonight, I can’t just let that go.”
“You are right,” Nian Junting nodded his head and phoned Lu Kang immediately. “Look up Mr. Jia from Haiguang Films. I want to know everything about him and his company. I want the company gone from the industry as soon as possible… Why? Because he bullied my brother-in-law. Let the word out that Mo Liuxi is my brother-in-law. Anyone who offends him would be offending me.”
After he hung up, he said to Luosang, “Look, are you satisfied?”
“My hubby is the best.” Luosang gave him a peck on his cheek. “Let’s go to the hospital. I can’t feel at ease if I don’t see him in person.”
“Okay.”
Xiao Si looked at Luosang and then back at Nian Junting. He felt that Tingting had been acting like a lackey recently.
On the way to the hospital.
Li Ming’s chauffeur drove. Li Ming sat in the front while Yan Su and Mo Liuxi sat in the back. The light in the car was on and his white shirt was dripping with blood. His handsome face was pale under the bright light.
He pursed his pale lips and didn’t complain about the pain one bit.
She was shocked to see his wound. She asked tentatively, “Aren’t you bleeding too much? Should we apply pressure to stop the bleeding for a bit?”
She was seriously concerned that Mo Liuxi would lose too much blood at this rate.
“No,” Li Ming said immediately, “There are surely glass shards in the wounds. We might push the fragments deeper into my arm and make things worse.”
