Chaoge had a point. Feng Wu had fought 1,000 students of Class D. She had to be exhausted.
The crowd envied Zi Ling.
Chaoge came here with Feng Wu, and the two of them had always been close. However, why was Zi Ling the lucky girl? Why did she get to hang out with Feng Wu? The other students wished they could switch places with her.

Chaoge said, “That’s strange. It seemed that he was trying to please you. He wasn’t just being kind. He genuinely respects you, and you didn’t even fight him. Is he that weak?”
Zi Ling’s eyes lit up. “Huo Shan is competent!”
Chaoge looked at her.
Zi Ling clenched her fists. “Huo Shan is a Level 5 Spiritual Lord at his peak. He’s easily the best student of Class D. He’s good enough to go to Class C, but he chose to stay back. Plus, he’s so handsome. Over half of the girls in Class E have a crush on him. Wu Lingyue is in love with him, too!”
Zi Ling’s face glowed when she talked about Huo Shan.
Chaoge said, “Huo Shan is much better-looking than Lu Xiao. If you like, you can have a go with him…”
Zi Ling blushed profusely before Chaoge could finish. “Don’t say that! I’ll never be good enough for him! If you say something like that again, I won’t talk to you anymore!”
She ran off after that.
Chaoge was dumbfounded.
“Fine. I get that she doesn’t want me to say it, but she didn’t need to run away, did she?” Chaoge said impatiently. “I was only joking. She doesn’t have to like him.”
Feng Wu shook her head. It was pretty apparent that Zi Ling liked Huo Shan as well.
However, Feng Wu didn’t want to interfere with other people’s life decisions, so she didn’t say anything.
At the entrance of the dormitory.
Zi Ling was stopped before she could rush out.
“Zi Ling!” Lu Xiao greeted her excitedly and grabbed her hand. “I’ve been waiting for you!”
Zi Ling’s first reaction was to shake off his hand.
Lu Xiao couldn’t believe it.
Zi Ling had brushed him off!
“Zi Ling!” Lu Xiao couldn’t believe it. “I’m Lu Xiao. Why did you do that?”
Zi Ling stared at him and came back to her senses.
She looked from Lu Xiao to her hand and was amazed by her own involuntary move.
She had lost many nights of sleep over him, but now, she could push him away as quickly as that.
She put a hand over her heart. It had stopped hurting.
Seeing that Zi Ling had stopped talking, Lu Xiao thought she had changed her mind. So, he approached her with a smile on his face. “Zi Ling, I’m Lu Xiao. I’m the man you love!”
