There was still some time left after lunch.
「Let’s go visit your classroom」
Yuki dragged me into B class as he said that.
Since lunch break had just ended, there wasn’t many people in the classroom.
I secretly glanced at Nakamura Rin who was surprisingly reading a book on her table.
I think it was 「The Introduction to Microeconomics」
Even though it says “introduction” it’s probably at University levels.
「Eh？」
Noticing us, she softly closed the book.
「Ah, big brother! (Onii-chan) 」
Using an affectionate tone, Rin (I might call her that) came over arms open for a hug——not to me obviously, but towards Yuki.
Yuki looked at me while giving a wry smile while gently patting her head.
「Umueow——」
She let out a catlike sound.
I’m shooked!

This must be a completely different Nakamura Rin from this morning!
Out of formalities, I greeted her.
「Ehhh… NakamurSan」
There was no response.
「Sai-Chan, just call her Rin. Wouldn’t it be confusing if you used NakamurSan?」
「Well emm, Rin-San?」
There was still no reply.
She’s just purely ignoring me!
「Sorry...Rin is always like this. Rin? Hurry up and greet Sai-Chan!」
She turned her head around to face me while letting out a silent「tch」
「Nakamura Rin, pleased to meet you」
「Ah, Kanade Sai, pleased to, meet, you」
She continued hugging Yuki as soon as I finished my sentence.
This person is actually has a brother complex….
But why is she so cold towards me… this is the first time we’ve met right?
「Lessons are about to start, I should make my way back now. You two better get along ok?」
After a quick 「Bye bye」, Yuki walked out of the classroom.
Rin returned to her “young lady” attitude and sat back down on her chair.
It seems like for the time being, it’s not very possible to get along with each other...
I also made my way back to my seat.
「The Arts building….」
Taking out my student notebook, I flipped through the map.
It was certainly near the west side of the school.
Having said that, this school is really big.
This campus could probably even be considered a small city.

The afternoon lessons ended just like that.
It was as easy as always for me.
Just like how I imagined it would be, lessons ended as the clock showed 3pm.
(Tn: This is cause in anime yadiyada lessons and stuff ends at 3ish but for chinese schools they have to stay to 11pm or even 12am sometimes to study)
Then according to plan, lets go take a look at the arts department.
But before that, lets stay in the classroom for a bit longer
After ten minutes or so, all the students had left the classroom -- except for me.
There was no students staying behind to clean the classroom, apparently because there’s someone specially hired to clean the classroom.
So… even though it’s the first day I’m transferred here, no one is going to come and chat with me?
I kept getting this feeling the class had a strange sense of fear towards me.
I looked at the reflection from the window, there was nothing strange about me. If I was to judge my own appearance, even though this sounds shameless, I should be really cute.
But then what’s with this current situation?
After signing for the unknownth number of times today, I walked out of the classroom.
Following the map, I arrived at the art department.
Thankfully this body does not have any strange disabilities such as unable to navigate themselves.
I swiped my school card and walked inside.
Lets just find a slightly more interesting society to join.
1. Choir
I don’t have any singing talent and it doesn’t seem too interesting, pass

2.Entrepreneurship
Are you serious!
It feels like even though this school is for high school students, you might as well call it a university. There was even some societies which needed a qualification certificate in order to join.
As expected of an upper class posh school, it feels like everyone here has a sure plan of their future.
3.Tea ceremony
For a young mistress school this should be quite normal right? But for me to learn this stuff...I would rather not,
Just like that, I went through all the different societies.
After god knows how long, I arrived at the 5th floor—— which was also the top floor of ths building.
The rooms on this floor seems to be mostly abandoned
I walked towards the windows at the west side of the building.
It’s already dusk, the glow from the sun illuminated the half way through the glass panes.
The walls looked like honey had been smeared all over it, dyeing it golden.
My mind gradually calmed down form this soothing view.
「Whatever, I’ll take another look tomorrow」
With this thought in mind, I turned around —— and changed my mind.
At the end of this corridor, there was surprisingly a society room.
The room number was 5-H —— also showing its remoteness
「School, monitor, department?」
I was surprised as I read out the words on the door.
It gave of a feeling of righteousness and urgency.
I knocked on the door out of curiosity.
No one opened the door
The door wasn’t locked when I tried turning the door knob.
「Excuse me——」
I opened the door.
The room was also dyed gold, just like the hallway.
Compared to the western style of the building, this room formed a sharp contrast. The room itself was minimalistic and the dust could even be seen in the air under the rays from the setting sun.
Storage boxes were stacked all around the room, the bookshelves at the walls were filled without gaps.
Within the sea of books, the girl quietly sitting on a wooden chair reading seemed especially conspicuous.
She sat there upright, her two legs together.
In her hands was a unknown book, from the looks of it, Italian? Or was it French?
I don’t know the language so I could not make a proper judgement.
Her long hair was braided, this hairstyle fits few people, but with her it was surprisingly beautiful. There was a special kind of scholarly aura to her.
「Oh? There’s someone who wants to join~」
「Ah, no, I was, just, taking a, look.」
「But to be able to find this place shows that you ahve no interests towards the other societies right~」
Just as she said
「Allow me to introduce myself, I’m called Hata Kokoro, grade 11. This is the first time we’ve met.」
「Ah, I’m Kanade, Sai. Greetings, Senpai!」
「Since Sai-chan wants to join the occult society, this society is quite suitable for you」
「Ei? How did, you, know what, I had, in mind...」
「Because you were able to find this place~」
There was nothing wrong with that.
「Then, what does, this, society normally, do?」
「It’s actually exclusive for the student council members, responsible for the problems that might happen to students in school. It’s also responsible for assigning jobs such as inspections. If it was to be compared to other schools it would probably be something like the disciplinary committee.」
「But then why would there be such a specific society….」
「Because normally it’s really boring, so I just wanted to find a place to read books~」
I feel like the image of her being a scholar was slowly being destroyed,
Tn notes: I realised this chapter took me 3 hours to translate wow. I feel like if I picked up another novel I might work faster (Logic pro) so yea…. I also read the comments you guys leave, it’s really nice to see people actually enjoying this novel (and telling me to hurry up I’m not a M I swear). The 22 one stars on NU was probably because of my update speeds teehee. Thanks to [ ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ] (nice name btw) finding a mistake in the last chapter kudos to you :)
Tn notes 2 (8 hours later): I could have released it along with the pictures but then it would mean I had to work a extra 10 minutes! Sometimes when before I post chapters I realise I end up missing sentences because I forgot to seperate them and they don't end up getting translated. Good thing I could just do them here right before I post it without any proofreading... There are also a few references can you spot them?
