If someone didn’t know better, they would have assumed that she wasn’t engaged in research and academics!
Furthermore, Jian Yiling was way too different from their expectations.
Lu Yuan and Jian Yiling’s desks were right next to each other.
Jian Yiling wasn’t at university today. Her computer was turned off and there was a pile of documents on her table.
As there was an electronic lock on the laboratory door and the laboratory building had security guards, many of the students left their work at the office.
Lu Yuan glanced at the documents and a strange feeling arose in her heart.
She wondered how Jian Yiling’s research was going…
Both of them were in the same research area. Although they were working together, from another point of view, they were also competing against each other.
And thus, Lu Yuan failed to hold back her curiosity and opened a pile of documents that Jian Yiling had left on her desk.
She was shocked to discover that Jian Yiling had progressed further than her!
Lu Yuan stood frozen in place.
How could this be? How could Jian Yiling’s research progress be even faster than hers?!
She spent so little time at the labs…
She only came to the laboratory three times a week!
Then how…
After a long time, Lu Yuan looked around her. She noticed that no one else was in the lab as everyone had gone to the cafeteria to eat. As she was stressed about her research progress, she had asked someone to bring food back for her.
Then, Lu Yuan remembered what Professor Huang had said to her.
He wanted her to bring him the results as soon as possible. Those results were crucial for her subsequent development…

She was researching the same thing as Jian Yiling… If Jian Yiling spent less time at the lab and ended up producing results earlier than her…

By the time the other students returned, she was sitting back in her spot. It was as though she had been concentrating on her work for the entire time.
On Friday, Jian Yiling submitted her thesis report to Professor Huang.
Only an hour later, Professor Huang stormed into the laboratory and began to yell at Jian Yiling:
“Jian Yiling! Before this, I thought you were just idle with your studies! However, you’re actually plagiarising now? You’re using someone else’s research results? Do you have no shame?! If you can’t produce results, that’s a problem in your abilities. However, if you’re stealing someone else’s results, it’s a problem in your attitude and character!”
Professor Huang’s anger startled the entire room.
Everyone stopped what they were doing and looked at Professor Huang in surprise.
Jian Yiling looked at Professor Huang and did not respond immediately.
Professor Huang continued to yell at Jian Yiling: “It’s fine if you don’t stay in the laboratory all day. It’s okay if you’re not focused on your work as well! However, it’s not okay for you to copy someone else’s research! You can’t just copy Lu Yuan’s work! Do you know what shameless means?! I don’t want a student like you! You must be expelled! You must be criticized by the academic circle and completely blacklisted! I will not let you ruin the rest of my students!”
The entire lab was silent.
Everyone looked at Professor Huang and Jian Yiling in shock.
Expulsion and a notice of criticism were very serious punishments.
If Professor Huang did this, Jian Yiling’s entire life would be ruined.
