Gu Ziling’s heart was racing. She quickly walked to Old Sheng. “I dare not, Grandfather.”
“How did you tell Third Brother about this?”
Gu Ziling hesitated and gulped. “I just said that…”
“She said it like this. ‘Actually, your parents called yesterday afternoon. They asked Grandfather if they could retreat from the Middle East because the situation there is really dangerous. But your grandfather did not agree to it.’” Hu Ran purposely imitated Gu Ziling’s tone.
