"I'll go with number 1, then!"

"Lee Suan, you pick first."

"Sure. Number 4."

"I'll choose 5."

"Can I pick first, Rion?"

"Yeah."

"I pick number 2!"

"I guess I'm 3."

We each traced down our ladders. Number 1 was groceries, 2 was also groceries, 3 was food prep, 4 was food prep, and 5 was groceries.

Team Groceries consisted of Seo Yoon-hyung, Ryu Sunho, and Park Jitae. Oh Rion and I were assigned to remain in our residence and prepare for cooking. They were all bad at cooking anyway; the only way for me to not end up eating compost was to at least pick a dish that was edible without cooking.

"Are you guys craving anything in particular?"

Please, let's make this simple.

"Meat!!!"

"Since we're going out to buy groceries, how about Korean beef? The money isn't coming from our pockets."

"I'm in. Seo Yoon-hyung, that was a good one for once."

"Me too. I like meat."

Just in this moment, y'all look like such sweethearts. Since we already have rice and seasoning…

"All you need to get are the meat, vegetables to wrap the meat in, and some drinks."

"I'll buy the things you tell me to, Suan."

"Yeah, yeah. Your wish is my command."

"We'll be back!"

After picking a dish that we could all eat together inside, Team Groceries left to go to the supermarket with the debit card that was stuck onto the mission card.

Silence settled into the residence in a matter of seconds.

"Hyung, we should get ready, too."

Is there anything to get ready for when we're only grilling meat?

"You can set down the plates and cutlery. I'll wash the rice and get it cooked."

"Yes. Do we even have a portable grill?"

"If we don't, we can just grill them on the frying pan."

"Okay."

I washed the rice, poured it into the electrical rice cooker, and pressed the cook button. I turned around and stared at Oh Rion as he set the plates out onto the dining table.

"Whoa, when I look at you like this, you're good-looking."

Having set down all the plates onto the table, Oh Rion turned and stared back at me.

"You're cute too, hyung."

This damned child is returning my compliment as an insult.

"You have a very you way of giving compliments."

I grumbled, feeling a little peeved. Fine, I get that you're a tall-ass beanpole! How could you screw me over like that while staring down at me?!

"Since the rice is cooking, I'll go take a shower. At this rate, I'm going to be labelled as dirty for filming without even showering."

"Okay."

All I want is for me to be invisible, not to be targetted as dirty for not grooming myself.
I gathered some of my clothes from my room and walked across the living room into the bathroom. I took off all my clothes and turned on the water. I took the shower nozzle off the wall and was spraying my body with it when—

—knock knock!

"Hyung, it's a call for you."

Hahh, can I not take my shower in peace?

"Who is it?"

"Jitae-hyung."

"Hahh, give me a second."

I turned off the shower and opened the bathroom door. As soon as I opened the door, I got chills up my body due to the cold air flowing in from the living room and the water droplets that were travelling down my body. In front of the door stood Oh Rion, flushed red like a well-ripe apple. He stuttered,

"Um… hyung, p-please… put some clothes on."

Clothes? Is that really necessary? Why?
(T/N: It's much more accepted and quite common in Korean culture to be seen naked by someone who is the same sex as you—eg. public bathhouses)

"Is there a camera over here?"

He quickly shook his head and answered, fixating his head towards the empty wall:

"No, there isn't."

"What did Park Jitae say over the phone?"

"They were about to pay for the groceries, but couldn't because they went over the cost limit. He said that he wouldn't be able to buy Korean beef."

Ah… shit. Am I gonna be forced to eat weird compost?

"S-So? What are they getting instead?"

"Apparently they're getting pork."

Ah… sure, pork belly's nice.
Although I must've looked quite amusing as glee and sorrow intersected across my face, he stood like a statue facing the wall without even letting out a scoff.

"Okay. Can I go back in and continue showering?"

He nodded hurriedly without looking in my direction.

"You're so defenseless sometimes, hyung."

"Yeah? Ah, it's cold. We can continue the chat after I get out of the shower."

"Yes. I'll be in the living room. Take your time showering."

My body was already somewhat dry; the cold sensation that I had felt when I first opened the door was no longer present. I closed the door as I watched Oh Rion's back and turned the shower back on.

That was out of the blue. Why did he call me defenseless all of a sudden? Mmh, it's warm. This gives me life.

I half-heartedly tousled my dripping wet hair with a towel as I walked into the living room. Oh Rion was sitting in a corner on the couch, his attention focused on his phone. A faint smile hung from his lips as he typed. He seemed to be messaging someone.

What's he smiling about? Had he been dating around this time?
I tilted my head as I walked over to the couch and sat in the middle.

"Huh? Oh, are you done, hyung?"

Perhaps he was so concentrated on the phone that he didn't even hear my footsteps. Only realising my presence through the slight vibration caused by my sitting, his gaze that was glued onto his phone shifted over to me as his eyes widened.

"Yeah. What were you doing all by yourself?"

"I was messaging Sunho. Apparently they had finished shopping and paying for the groceries when one of the reality staff members approached them and took the pork from them, saying that we specifically have to cook."

C-Cr-Crap… Our only edible food…

My hand lost its strength from the huge shock. The towel that I was using to dry my wet hair dropped on the floor.

"Hyung, you dropped your towel."

"…hahh."

I let out a heavy sigh.

"Hyung, did you want to eat meat that badly?"

"Huh? Y-Yeah. I'm really craving meat."

Wait, said Oh Rion as he furiously typed on the phone. He seemed to be sending some more messages to Ryu Sunho.

"I messaged them. You're gonna catch a cold if you don't dry your hair, hyung."

"Mmh. I should dry my hair."

The meat that they bought was confiscated. Can they buy more again?

My brain was meddled with all kinds of thoughts and I couldn't concentrate on what Oh Rion was saying. Oh Rion stood up and picked the towel up from the floor. He shook out the towel in the air a few times and ruffled my hair with it.

His warmth spread across my cold hair. My thoughts untangled themselves and disappeared, and Oh Rion came into my sight as he stood right in front of me.

"Your hair smells nice, hyung. I'm sure we used the same shampoo, but it feels as if you smell a little sweeter."

His touch over the towel was careful and gentle, as if he was treating someone precious to him.

"Isn't the sweet smell because it's coconut-scented?"

"Oh, is our shampoo coconut-scented?"

"Yeah. You probably smell the same. There's only one shampoo in our residence."

Coconut, coconut. Oh Rion mumbled above my head.

"It's nice. Coconut."

Oh… is that so? Then go ahead and use lots of it, I guess.

"Your hair is so soft too, hyung."

"That's because I didn't bleach my hair unlike you guys."

"Hn. It feels like I'm petting a puppy."

"Y-Yeah?"

Am I that dog-like to you…?

I answered, swallowing my added thought.

"It looks fairly dry now."

"Yeah, thanks."

Maybe it was because I had been sitting for a long time, leaving my hair to him, or maybe it was because of the warmth that remained on my hair after Oh Rion dried it as if he were petting me—drowsiness began to take over my body.

"Are you sleepy, hyung?"

"Yeah, I'm a little tired."

"You slept for so long, and you're still sleepy?"

"Yeah… I guess I've been quite tired these days."

Hyaah. I opened my mouth wide and yawned as I rubbed my eyes.

"Do you want to sleep for a bit?"

"Nah, I can just sleep at night."

We're still recording, after all. If I just fall asleep, I'll be criticised.

"Then just lie down for a bit without falling asleep."

"Should I?"

Oh Rion plopped down onto the far end of the sofa and tapped on his thigh.

"Lie down here."

Huh? We're not that close, are we?

"No, that's a little… I can just lie down on the floor."

"The floor's cold, hyung. It's winter now."

Coldness bit into my fingers when I touched the floor. I hadn't realised that it was cold because I was wearing slippers.

"Lie down here."

"Excuse me, then."

I laid my head down on Oh Rion's thighs and wriggled around to find a comfortable position.
