Chapter 674: Genius is Unafraid of Pain
Blackie had already awakened its dragon-species bloodline and had evolved into the Spirit-Drawing Ichthyosaur.
The evolution to Fantasy Breed would grant a one-time qualitative leap, where the innate dragon-species bloodline would be completely unleashed.
It allowed Blackie to transform into a genuine flood dragon-species fey.
Although Blackie’s bloodline would also improve tremendously, it did not need to endure much pain because it already had a solid foundation. It had already experienced agony in several stages when it evolved from Bronze grade and had only just awakened its dragon-species bloodline.

Lin Yuan squatted down and said solemnly to Genius, “Genius, are you certain that you want to evolve now?”
When Chimey heard what Lin Yuan said, it cocked its head in confusion, and the light blue feathers on its head bobbed.
Chimey could not make sense of it. Although the evolution would be painful, being able to evolve to Fantasy Breed was a good thing. But why did it feel like Lin Yuan was slightly against Genius’ evolution?
During Chimey transformation after evolving to Fantasy III, its body had been crushed. This had wrecked Chimey’s mind, and it only regained its senses right before the evolution was completed. Thus, Chimey did not know what had happened to it during its evolution.
Naturally, Genius had not told Chimey about the agony it had gone through.
Neither Lin Yuan nor Genius wanted to think about the pain that Chimey had gone through during its evolution.
Genius nodded and said, “Yuan, I want to evolve. I’ll be fine, so don’t worry about me.”

“Prepare yourself, Genius. I’ll be evolving Blackie to Fantasy Breed first.”
Genius immediately bounded to the workbench and started to munch on juicy Cane Luffa. It wanted to fill its stomach to conserve the energy needed for its transformation.
Since Chimey was a Sound Bird, it had a good grasp of the emotions in a piece of music and was sensitive to the feelings of sound.
It sensed the heaviness in Lin Yuan’s tone.
The ever-cheerful Chimey was perturbed, and it tapped its feet on top of Genius’ head. It did not know how to comfort Genius, so it followed its instincts and started to sing a joyous song to cheer Genius up.

Lin Yuan walked to the spirit pool and saw that Blackie was blowing bubbles in the water.
