Naturally, the price difference between items auctioned there and at Huan Yu’s large-scale auction was incredibly large.

The top ten masters ranking wasn’t fixed; moreover, once the public learned he had been killed and lost his items, September Night Rain’s popularity would definitely drop. He might even be squeezed out of the top ten masters ranking!
As such, he had to retrieve all his dropped items to make it seem like all the rumors of him losing his items were false before news spread. Only then would he be able to stabilize the situation!
His other gear wouldn’t be too difficult to retrieve if he was willing to spend a lot. However, for something like Whisper of the Wind, there were probably only a few of the items in the entire game. How would he get his hands on one in such a short time?
That was why it was highly likely that the ornament would fetch a high price in the auction the next day; the final buyer was incredibly likely to be September Night Rain!

However, in War, it was completely different!
Apart from decorative items, every other piece of equipment in War could be damaged, and not all damage could be repaired.
Especially in Boss battles. Since Boss monsters had powerful skills that were incredibly destructive, the items dropped by the dead players might become obsolete after getting hit two or three times.
Thus, the human wave attack would only increase the cost of fighting the Boss, even resulting in a net loss!
