The smell of blood filled up the cold night. The dawn should fall down now, but it didn't, seeming to avoid the horrible storm.

Song Ning looked at the corpses and broken limbs from afar.

The stinky smell emanated from the carrion; no idea about how long they had died.

A lot of palm-sized black bugs were eating those corpses, not afraid of the heavy rains and winds. It seemed that the worse the environment, the more excited the bugs were.

The storm stopped.

Song Ning stood in the tree. Tang Yue and Liu Yi were taking out their swords while stepping toward the bugs.

Tang Yue brandishing her sword, a brilliant ray of spiritual energy burst out and cut several bugs into two pieces, followed with black liquid flowing out of their bodies.

The other bugs looked up to her. They had only one eye without no eyeball in it, totally dark and unable to blink.

She trembled her sword to explode more spiritual energy and four or five rays of sword gas rushed forward instantly.

Decades of bugs were killed in a flash. But more and more bugs emerged at the same time with fizz; some of them climbed out from the well, some the ruins, and some the bodies of the corpses.

Suddenly, the ground was colored with black.

The fizz, gathering together, sounded harsh.

Just arriving at the dead ones, the new comers began to struggle to eat them at once.

Those who had eaten the dead bugs became larger. Only after a few breaths, dozens of bugs turned twice bigger.

They seemed to be the leaders of the others. When they headed up toward Tang Yue, the others immediately followed, intending to eat her.

"Sister Tang Yue, don't be afraid! Just a few bugs! Let me destroy them!" Liu Yi, looking calm, placed his hand on her shoulder, then blocked in front of bugs.

He started to mobilize his spiritual energy to attack them. Without defensive ability, a great number of them died after being hit. But the number of the bugs was too much and as soon as one died, the others would go to eat it and grew larger.

"Humph, you deserve death, since you even eat your fellows!" He laughed and continued to attack. This wide-ranging attack would kill dozens of bugs every time.

After a while, the bugs were much less, but the remaining ones were getting bigger and bigger and the biggest one were already bigger than humans.

"We have to kill these bugs at the same time." Tang Yue was dignified.

Liu Yi's hand was shaking. He never thought this would happen. Biting his teeth, he rushed to the biggest bug.

His sword fell on it, but just penetrated into a half inch and it failed to get deeper, even though he had tried his best. He quickly pulled out the sword and retreated a few feet, with horrors in his eyes.
