Wang Yao drove to the town center in a rush . His sister told him on the phone that she was in a motor vehicle accident, and asked him not to tell their parents . “What about the driver of the car?” asked Wang Yao .
“Drunk driving, and he’s escaped,” replied Wang Ru .
“Drunk driving under such strict traffic laws? Where is your friend now?” asked Wang Yao .
“She had a fracture in her arm . The doctor is still putting a plaster on it,” replied Wang Ru .
“Have you guys called the police?” asked Wang Yao .
“Yes, the police is still looking for the driver,” replied Wang Ru .
This was considered a hit-and-run . Even though no one died, the driver could be put in jail according to the law, because he had injured two people .
“Well, I’m glad you are fine,” said Wang Yao .
“You didn’t tell our parents, did you?” asked Wang Ru .
“No,” replied Wang Yao .
