Feeling pretty agonized, Leng Shuangrong let out a hum.

"Little bastard, you think I can't tell you are playing games? It will only allow you nothing but three months to breathe. I won't fall for that!"

Leng Yuecui's heart sank forthwith on hearing that, as she considered Wandong's three months' delay a Fabian policy only. A disaster would come soon, as Leng Shuangrong also saw that through.

Wandong, in contrast, appeared pretty composed, not affected by Leng Shuangrong's threat at all.

One would say he was supposed to fall into agitation immediately after she snubbed his nose in it. But he had loads of confidence welling up in his eyes instead, combined with a tinge of mockery.

Staying silent, he stared at her.

It felt forever.

His facial expression said it all — he didn't feel like mince words with her anymore. Leng Shuangrong was left with only two options: launching a kill right away or allowing him three months for recovery.

"Audacious lad!"

Leng Shuangrong quivered with fury.

She just couldn't for the life of her come to the terms with the fact that she was actually at the mercy of others. She hadn't been there for long.

She, however angry she was, she couldn't kill him on a spur of the moment. She had to take Xu Wenchuan, the Duke of Dingshan, as well as her own reputation into consideration.

"Good!" She burst out roaring a moment later in an ear-splitting voice, "I shall give you three months. Then you'll have to come over to my place to get killed! It'll be fine if you dare to flee over this period of time, but I shall replace you with your grandpa and your mum!"

"I shall torture you to death if you dare do that to them!"

Hardly had her voice faded away when Wandong pulled a long face, striding toward her.

Wandong's reaction, utterly unexpected, came out fiercer than she expected. She went ghostly pale right away.

"Fantastic! You got balls!"

She had no option but to get convinced by Wandong's daunting righteousness.

"Yuecui!" She turned to her granddaughter, "What is the wait? Let's head back!"

"I won't go with you!"

Irritated by Leng Shuangrong's unreasonable persistence, Leng Yuecui hated to return home with her. Compounded with Wandong's sufferings today, she felt tempted to stay and comfort him.

"What did you say?"

Leng Shuangrong boiled with anger forthwith. It was the very first time that Leng Yuecui had dared to challenge her authority.

Had it been in the past, Leng Yuecui would have got scared to obedience as long as she cast a glare at her. Something changed all of a sudden, considerably boosting Leng Yuecui's courage to confront her. Shouting at the top of her lungs, she ended up failing to make her granddaughter act on her mandates.

"What a rebel! How dare you treat me like this?"

Terribly provoked by Yuecui's disobedience, she almost burst out spitting blood.

"You only attach attention to my senior sister after all! I'm unwanted! Then why bother to get angry with me?"

Ready to risk everything, Leng Yuecui laid her heart bare.

"How…how dare you to speak to me like that? I'm your grandma!"

Leng Shuangrong stuttered.

With her obstinateness out,  Leng Yuecui looked away and stayed silent, eyes red.

"Good! You are a child of the Lengs even if you are gonna disown me as your grandma! You have to come back with me! I just can't witness you mess with the filthy bastard with my own eyes! You're staining our name!"

"Now that you only focus on our family's reputation, you can, by all means, launch an honorable execution right now right here!"

"Are…are you sounding me out? I will!"

Blazed with anger, Leng Shuangrong lifted her palm.

"Stop!"

Though ill-informed about Leng Shuangrong's insane behavior, Wandong feared that she might kill her own granddaughter based on her violent murderous intentions.
