"Xu Yaoting! What are you after?"

Spaced-out, Wu Qiujun asked Wandong in a panic.

He felt hopeless when confronting Wandong, as the latter was way too quick-witted and always caught him off guard.

Fairly speaking, having encountered many formidable opponents in his life, he had never had anyone constantly defeated him like Wandong.

He, literally, already fell hostage to Wandong's power.

Wandong knitted his eyebrows and responded in a confused tone.

"Wu Qiujun, how come you doubt my good intentions? That's way too hurtful! I don't have the heart to see you both get injured! Why bother to fall out? You're still on a friend's term."

"Humph. No kidding!"

Wu Qiujun and Qiu Yunchong shared a glance at each other and shouted in the same breath.

Their tacit reaction bewildered Wandong quite a bit — the two guys already dreaded him to the utmost.

As an old saying went, a burnt child dreads the fire.

On seeing the fear on their countenances, Xu Wenchuan laughed in spite of himself.

He simply felt so proud of his grandson.

Two martial masters, with one at the ninth level and the other at the seventh level, both dreaded Wandong as if the latter's martial capacity had been superior.

Wandong cleared his throat and went on.

"Believe it or not, it's my goodwill!"

"Enough is enough! Stop mincing words! Just name what you are after!"

Wu Qiujun cast a glare with fury and thought to himself — goodwill had nothing to do with Wandong.

"Fine, as you wish! Let's get to the point. I just figured it out. General Qiu has an urgent need for raw stones. And Wu Qiujun you have a bad luck and lost all your raw stones to me, which actually belonged to General Qiu. So you fail to fulfill your promise, right?"

Wu Qiujun let out a dismissive hum, and thought to himself: Yes, indeed! I've never been in the good graces of luck each time you are around me!

Wandong, as a matter of fact, didn't expect Wu's response. He simply laughed it off and went on.

"Truth be told, it is actually a petty issue! You don't bother to get into a fight for it! You know, I can't consume such a great number of raw stones myself. Rather than leave them covered with dust in my warehouse, I can, by all means, hand over some of them to General Qiu if he does need it so bad."

His proposal baffled Wu Qiujun and Qiu Yunchong forthwith — they just couldn't fall for his good intentions.

In the meantime, Tang Xinyi cut in.

"Xu Yaoting, are you nuts? You should go so far as to give the raw stones to Qiu Yunchong!"

She struck her eyes wide open with rage and doubt welling up in them. She wished if only she could have slapped him back to reality.

One could effortlessly tell Qiu Yunchong was lying. A pressing military tension to tackle? Only a kid would buy it!

Qiu hastened to equip his troops and get prepared to launch an attack at her royal highness.

With over five thousand raw stones in hand, he, at least, would obtain five hundred pieces of the blood steel according to the standard output rate.

In so doing, thousands of blood steel sabers would come into place.

Even just a picture of that could send chills down Tang Xinyi's spine — the Princess Baidie would have, without question, checkmate.

It was just as well Wandong had good luck and procured the raw stones. Only God knew it was terribly hard to come by!  In that case, Qiu's malicious scheme got utterly disrupted.

Wandong, nevertheless, initiated a hand-over of the raw stones ton Qiu.

He must have gone out of his mind!

He, nonetheless, didn't get swayed by her scold but rolled his eyes at her.

"Women should stay silent when men talk!"

"You…No! I won't allow that to happen!"

Tang Xinyi roared hysterically, flying off the handle.

Wandong cracked up and looked over her for a minute.

"It sounds as if the raw stones of the blood steel belonged to you instead."
