Qiu Yunchong used to look down up Xu Yaoting in the past. Based on what he learned about Xu Yaoting, the latter was simply good for nothing.

People portrayed Xu as a useless dandy — he always threw his weight about and amounted to nothing.

Here came the turning point — the confrontation they had today simply blew Qiu away. In addition, he found Wandong a daunting rival to him.

Wandong would eventually rise to become his adversary, given that his grandpa — Xu Wenchuan, had gone out to join the Princess Baidie. Hence, he would better off putting Wandong away today once and for all.

Apart from all that, Wandong's constant mockeries already drove him nuts; only if Wandong died could it satisfy him.

Hence, he decided to take every opportunity to achieve his goal by fair means or foul.

Qiu Yunchong did a good job in fanning the flames — Wu Qiujun's murderous intention grew all the stronger.

With Qiu Yunchong backing him up, Xu Wenchuan couldn't do anything about it. The Duke of Dingshan, in some sense, was even inferior to Qiu Wanli the State Preceptor — the actual ruler of the Qingyun Empire.

"Haha…Goddamned lad, today is gonna be your doomsday!"

Wu Qiujun grinned hideously.

Overwhelmed by the forthcoming hazard, Tang Xinyi cast concerned eyes on Wandong. She already figured it out — neither she nor the Fengxiang Armed Escort soldiers had what it took to fend off Wu Qiujun.

Beyond her expectation, Wandong retained his composure with no sign of agitation.

A tinge of sarcasm even popped up in his countenance, offering a great relief to the flustered Tang Xinyi.

"What a joke! I'd like to ask you a question! Did the Qingyun emperor approve of you to launch a random attack at the Qingyun generals? Aren't our generals supposed to defend themselves?"

"Er…"

Wu Qiujun's tongue got twisted.

Tian did wound Tang Xinyi. No one could deny that.

That was an unquestionable truth, though he meant to fight Wandong instead of her, and she bit off more than she could chew.

Wandong turned to Qiu Yunchong abruptly and cursed him to his face.

"Are you blind? Did you see Tian initiate the fight against me? You truly made me speechless! How come you allow yourself to work as a lackey for the Tiezhan Empire? The State Preceptor shouldn't have let you come into this world! Or does it mean your father is the same sort?  Are you both colluding with the Tiezhan Empire? If so, then it makes perfect sense to me!"

Wandong fired a good dressing down at Qiu Yunchong. The latter only got slack-jawed and blank-faced. He looked utterly spaced-out as if he had been dreaming of walking.

He had never experienced such relentless dressing downs before — even his dad had never treated him like that.

While Qiu Yunchong stayed struck-dumb, Wandong turned back to Wu Qiujun.

"Old dog! You can't get the raw stones back even if you kill me on whatever shitty pretext! Dream on! You can't take my life away! The raw stones already belong to me! You won't be able to retrieve them!"
