On hearing that, Wandong felt bewildered, due to the sense of jealousy he picked up on Leng Yuecui's tone, rather than what she said.
"Does it mean?..." Wandong thought to himself, rather shocked, "How come? Tang Xinyi is yet to be sorted, and now comes Leng Yuecui."
"Big brother, I feel..." Wu Yang stammered with a weird look. Clever as he was, he seemed to have sensed that as well.
Ye Ling was indeed in danger. Hardly have they come up to her store when they saw a couple of guys, dressed in green, encircled the store, dispersing passers-by. They could hear a constant faint sound of fights from inside. There was a battle going on there in full swing.
"What is that? They look like folks from the Qinglong (it literally means green dragons, a classic symbol of gangsters, usually appeared in the form of tattoo) Gang," Wu Yang said in shock.
"The Qinglong Gang?" Wandong asked, eyebrows knitted.
The Qinglong Gang was the largest gang in the Yunzhong City. Regular people never dared challenge them. When Zong Tianwei was in charge of it, the Qinglong Gang was relatively disciplined and seldom caused harm to people. As Zong Tianwei disappeared even years ago and Han Shiqi took his place, the Qinglong Gang changed the way they behaved accordingly.
The disciples of the Qingling Gang became increasingly overbearing and brought disasters to people far and wide. It was fair to say they had committed all sorts of crimes. The Yunzhong citizens turned pale at the mention of them. Han Shiqi somehow had all government officials in his pocket. With the politicians turning a blind eye to their sinful conducts, the Qinglong Gang were getting exceedingly malicious.
Hence it was conceivable that Ye Ling was faced with unbearable hazard as she had offended them.
Getting on well with the Ye sisters, Leng Yuecui soon had it figured out. Grinding her teeth, she said with fury, "Han Shiqi the monster has been drooling over Ye Ling's beauty for long. I have long been warning her against staying here. I didn't expect it still befell her."
"It explained the matter!" Wandong said. On hearing Leng Yuecui's spot-on analysis, Wandong took a tumble. Given Ye Mei was amenable to reason, it was highly likely her sister was just the same.
"Big Brother, what are the to-dos?" Wu Yang asked.
Wandong grinned and said in a low voice, "Let's go and meet Han Shiqi today and see whether he has a superpower or not."
No sooner had they come close to the store than an armed Qingling disciple popped up and fended them off. He yelled, "Are you blind? Can't you see we are engaged in an urgent business?"
While shouting, his broadsword was waving to and fro in front of Wandong. He looked as if he had been an arrogant emperor whereas Wandong, Leng Yuecui, and Wu Yang ants on the ground. His overbearing manner was rather rare in town.
Even a mere nobody of the Qingyun Gang could behave like this, one could tell how rampant the Qinglong Gang was.
Wandong was about to respond when a shrill cry went off. Then a youngster, about 25-year-old, darted out of the store. There were numberless wounds in his body which were horrifying to look at.
"Damn bastards, I'm gonna fight till the end today with you!" the youngster, a rather strong-willed character, bounced back the minute he landed on the ground. Regardless of himself bleeding like a pig, he rushed back into the store, almost insane.
