According to Satan’s introduction, Parn the Knight was staying in the West of the Golden Tower city. That place was inhabited by many adventurers, noble people and low-level shamans. These people were the same. They all had some skills or connections and didn’t need to worry about clothes and food. But wanting to crawl up by one step was not easy for them either. If using the speaking style on Earth, they were the so-called "middle class".

The security of the West area of the city was not bad as guards were patrolling and no pickpocket or tramp could be seen. In comparison to the East area of the city where they had entered, the situation here was really much better.

The address of Parn the Knight was on the big street - Shi Hu Lan. This world didn’t have the concept of "house number". Therefore, there was no way to tell a correct address.

Of course, this could not pose a problem for such a veteran adventurer. Lei always believed in "the way of the mouth". He randomly found a guard, who looked amiable, gave him two silver coins, and smilingly asked, "Hey, Hardworking patrol, can I buy you a drink?"

The guard stopped, his eyes laid on the silver coins, smilingly answered, "This much money is enough to buy a bottle of wine -----what information do you want to know? I am just a normal guard. I don’t know any special information."

Lei gave the silver coins to him. "I have a friend with luck and scheme who is staying in the territory of some old nobleman. That old man practices martial arts all day and doesn’t pay attention to any political matters. He wants to find someone who can help him handle some errands. The friend that I promoted is named Parn the Knight and he is staying in this place. Do you know where he lives?"

The guard was a little surprised, he regretfully sighed, "You have come too late. Parn the Knight has passed away."

"What? Several years ago, when I passed this place, he was living very healthily!" Lei was frightened, he hurriedly asked, "Why did he die so suddenly?!"

The guard hesitated for a little bit, looked around, then lowered his voice saying, "It is not convenient to say. You should come to his house to ask. His house is very easy to recognize. There are two rows of marigolds."

After speaking, he immediately turned around and left. He didn’t even want to spare a minute to stop.

Lei silently furrowed his brows. His face remained calm and collected. Following the instruction of the guard, he went to find the house of Parn the Knight.

At the same time, in the distant Northwest Four Towns, Sui Xiong’s true effigy had found the busy Satan.

"What?! Parn the Knight has already died?! ! That is impossible!" Satan cried out in surprise, "He was in his prime, not to mention he was a high-class soldier. There is no reason that he should suddenly died!"

"I am investigating. There will be a result very quickly."

As Satan lowered his head, the hood covered his angry face, "Highness, if he has been harmed, please let me have a temporary break to go get revenge for him!"

"Ah? Is the relationship between you and him very good?"

"Before, when I was in dire straits, it was him who gave me a hand." Satan said, "If it weren’t for his help, I wouldn’t have had any way of leaving the Golden Tower city alive. At that time, I didn’t have a penny on me. Not to mention the traveling expense, eating was also a problem. He had provided the necessities for my life, and helped me get in contact with a group of adventurers who had decided to leave the Mystique Tower Federation. He also helped me fake some necessary documents... With his help I was able to leave safely. Afterward, I went to the Thunder Dukedom and stayed there for a while, then rode a boat to the Gold Coin Federation, then to this Northwest Four Towns."

Sui Xiong slightly nodded his head, "Seems like this man is not bad?"

"That’s right. Parn the Knight was a nobleman that worshiped the Knight God. He was persistent, merciful and righteous. He had principles when doing things, enthusiastically helping others in need. As he was very prestigious in the Golden Tower city, he was usually called to solve the conflicts between the mid-level and low-level influences. He was a respected gentleman."

Sui Xiong silently sighed and regretted that such a talented person like this had passed away in his prime.

While he was talking with Satan, he had already found the house of Parn the Knight by following the instruction of the guard.

There was a small, modern and pretty good-looking house. Judging from this house, the owner must have had good financial ability. Two rows of marigolds in front of the door shone a warm golden light under the sunlight, which made people’s heart feel warm.

But if looking closely, one could tell this house had been through quite a lot. Many places in the house needed to be repaired. Maybe, the financial situation of the owner was currently not ideal.

Suddenly, Lei raised his brows. His eyes fell on an unremarkable trace on the corner of the wall.

It was a small concave hole. In the middle of the hold, there was a tiny protruding place. At first glance, it looked really normal. However, from the perspective of a fighting expert like him, it was a shocking sight.

There was a trace left behind by a crossbow. Not to mention, its arrow had completely poked through the wall.

Although the arrow was not long, to shoot an arrow through a wooden wall required extraordinary power. Being able to do this was absolutely not a normal crossbow, but a heavy-duty specially-made one.

This kind of heavy-duty crossbow could simply shoot through the full-body armor of a knight. Even with a shield, the knight might not be able to block it. Regardless if it was a rookie with a short period of training, he would be able to use it to kill a mighty warrior. With an appropriate magic enchanted on the crossbrow or the arrow, it was also able to shoot through the magic protection of a powerful shaman and launch a fatal strike.

It was not only costly to make, but its manufacture and transportation were also strictly managed. Lei remembered the year when he was still a Prince, he only saw several sets in the military warehouse, which was tightly guarded. Later, one set among them had left him an unforgettable lifetime impression...

"Highness, the death of Parn the Knight might have some problems." He remained calm and collected. He then used the spirit channel to contact and report his discovery to Sui Xiong.

Sui Xiong silenced for a while and then said, "No matter what the problem is, we have arrived and we should meet his family after all. After talking with his family, we’ll deal with other things later."

Lei nodded and led Stelle to the door to knock. The tightly shut big door was immediately opened.

"What trouble do you want to cause in this time’s coming?! The paying time is not due yet!"

Along with the thunderous angry roar, a red-haired young girl holding a sword came out.

They could tell that she had been ready to fight with the enemy. But the ones who had come were not her enemy.

"Arg. . . I am sorry. I’ve mistaken; wrong people." Seeing the two visitors, whom she didn’t know, the young girl was immediately aware that she had been mistaken, and hurriedly put the sword back into its sheath. Her face instantly reddened as well.

Lei smiled, posed an impeccable graceful gesture to carry out a noble ritual. "Please don’t mind us. There won’t be any knight that will get angry with a beautiful lady like you."

The girl’s face immediately flushed.

"I am Lei. She is my friend, Stelle. Mister shaman Satan has asked us to come here to invite Parn the Knight to take a government offical position in a newly exploited place." Lei smiled, asking even though he had already known, "May I ask, is this the house of Parn the Knight?"

The young lady was stunned, she dumbfoundedly stared at the smiling Lei and Stelle. From the noble ritual, which could only be obtained through a special training, the two of them had shown, and she had figured out their identities.

But, glistening teardrops suddenly emerged in her eyes.

"... My father is no longer in this world." She tried to make herself look strong, make her words not sound trembling, and constrain her tears so as not to let it flow down, "I can’t live up to your kindness. I am terribly sorry."

Lei pretended like he had just heard this news, surprisingly exclaimed, and asked, "Parn the Knight has died? But mister Satan said he was an outstanding knight. Although normally he transcribed and taught to make a living, his martial art was not any weaker than mine----please forgive my impoliteness. It is really hard for me to imagine that a knight like him would pass away when he was just forty years old.... Can I daringly ask you something, did he pass away due to sickness or being wounded?"

The young lady silenced for a long while, then lowered her head and said in a low voice: "That doesn’t have anything to do with you. In short, my father has passed away. He cannot come to your land to be a government official. Please leave."

Lei secretively winked, Stelle immediately joined, "We also have other thing we want to do here. Mister Satan has received a big favor from Parn the Knight that year. Right now, he lives very well. It is just that he is very busy with work and thus can’t come here. When he knew we wanted to go meet Parn the Knight, he had prepared a special gift and asked us to bring it here."

Her words succeeded in attracting the attention of the young lady, as the young lady waved her hands constantly, "A gift? No need for gift. My father doesn’t need any repayment for when he helped others."

"You are making things hard for us." Stelle gently smiled. Her elegant appearance was like a spring breeze blowing across, making people feel good inside, "The status of Mister Satan in the territory is very high. We usually receive care from him. Reasonably, we should complete the matter he has entrusted with us. It is merely a gift. Please don’t block our good intention of bringing it here at your door from a distant place, okay?"

Despite her inquiring tone, the gentle temperament emitted from her made it hard for people to decline her plea.

Whether it was a man or a woman, as long as one was not an experienced person or had a heart of stone, he wouldn’t be able to think of a refusal when facing her.

The young girl of course couldn’t either. She hesitated for a little bit, then invited Lei and Stelle in.

After that, she hurriedly closed the door as well as locked the door bolt.

"Ah? Is the security of this city bad? They need to lock doors during the daytime as well?" Lei’s face showed surprise simultaneously.

The young girl was somewhat embarrassed and didn’t answer.

It was easy to tell that there were some problems that this girl didn’t want to talk about.

Two young ladies walked in but didn’t sit down. Then, a clear and loud voice transmitted down from upstairs, "Sister! Has that bunch of hateful guests left already?"

The young lady was more embarrassed, she smiled as she hurriedly apologized to Lei and Stelle.

They obviously didn’t mind these things, bursting out laughing to dissolve the awkwardness.

After that, they immediately saw two people walking downstairs, the wife of Parn the Knight - Teague and his second daughter - Agnes.

The oldest daughter of Parn the Knight - Liv was of course a daring red-haired young lady.

Lady Teague had a distinct feature of the Elf. She might be a hybrid of an Elf and a human---who was called a Semi-Elf. The oldest daughter - Liv clearly had a human bloodline. There was no Elf features which could be recognized on her. While the second daughter - Agnes looked a bit like her mother, she also had long ears, and white hair which could glow.

Judging from that, the original bloodline of these two must be the rare Moon Elf.

After the two sides conversed for a while, Lei took out his space bag and pulled out the "Gift of Mister Satan".

They were a beautiful set of dazzling porcelain and a bag of precious gem stones.
